padmé is not a ‘flawless’ character but her flaws are not moral in nature
she, not obi-wan despite what half of this fandom seems to think, is the incorruptible moral good of the PT. she may not always make the “right” choice, but she always makes choices rooted in empathy, non-violence, and love for others.
why is this important? well, first of all, if I see another post talking about padmé “abandoning her morals” for anakin I’m gonna fucking lose it. those are her morals ffs
but also a huge part of her role in the pt is as an equal and opposite force to palpatine. she is the angel on anakin’s shoulder and palpatine is the devil. both are equal players in the battle for anakin’s soul, and for the fate of the galaxy at large
