hello ! it’s been a while…

i’ve been taking a mini hiatus from this account due to months and months of exams (like so many of yall!) and now they’re finally *nearly* over !!

but with exams nearly finishing, i just realised that i don’t know what i’m going to do with the majority of my revision notes and i really wouldn’t want them to go to waste so i’ve decided to sell my revision notes ! 

there’s not much on the site so far because i want to see if there’s specific subjects people are interested in and what type of work people would want to see, but i’d be so so grateful if you’d check it out :)

anyone else in the sf bay area dealing with this ridiculous heat?! on top of that, the other night there was this gnarly thunderstorm like nothing i’d ever seen. i think that if it weren’t so hot (and if it didn’t happen from freakin’ 4 to 8 a.m.), i would’ve enjoyed it more. i was actually pretty freaked out lmao. weather events like that are an anomaly in california, probably akin to earthquakes happening on the east coast, so everyone makes a big to-do about it. there’s also a lot of concern since it’s the beginning of wildfire season here, and the lightning already hasn’t made it any easier. :-(

in other news, it’s been so hot that i’ve been seriously unmotivated to sit and be productive… i’ve been mostly sitting in front of the AC and eating a ton of ice cream. :x but! i have been making incremental progress teaching myself japanese for the past few weeks. it’s slow-going and my handwriting and kanji definitely need work, but i’m having a lot of fun with it so far. any other japanese beginners out there?! :D

my grandma embroidered little flowers on her clothes like i do and she taught me how to cook asparagus so it actually tasted good and she wrote about grief so simply that i could make sense of it when i was a child that had just lost a grandfather and sometimes i wonder how much of me is made of her and how much of me is my uncle and how much is my best friend and how much is my little sister. i wonder how much of them is me.

Some excerpts of my journal for these past few weeks! I’ve actually filled up this specific journal already (because I write a lot) so I’ve moved on to a new one, but I find journaling to be so calming and it really helps you clear your mind and prepare for a new day. These days, I find myself just writing in my journal how my entire day played out and it’s been really nice because I know that, a few days later, I’ll probably forget about that day so it’s awesome to be able to store that memory! Also, there’s a lot of mentions of Italian boy in my journal these days so I’m actually quite surprised his name didn’t pop up in these pics oop. I hope everyone’s week has been quite fulfilling! 🤍✨
