YEE HAW!!!!
"i knew you'd miss me once the thrill expired and you'd be standing in my front porch light and i knew you'd come back to me" in the context of "i saw you standing there in the light of the window wearing that same smile man, it's been a while but i knew it, i knew you"

TaylorSwift: Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @/toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.
Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @/RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.
By we, I mean myself and my pal @/jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. 🤠🐴

In a new turn of events, a 'wedding photographer' was caught running his business on entirely fake photos. Here's what happened.
James Somerton is really trying his darnedest to make his name synonymous with plagiarism.
Here's a Quick James Somerton update. Don't worry—we won't be here long. He left video editing and became a wedding photographer.
Well, congratulations, James. It's good that you're using a skill that we know you have and actually moving on with your life to do better.
Hmm? What's that? ...He did what now?
Apparently, old habits die hard because the man plagiarized his PHOTOGRAPHY portfolio from stock image sites. Stock images for a photography portfolio. He could've just taken nature shots with his expensive camera in a park and called himself a newcomer. The man knows how much work goes into plagiarizing, and yet he keeps giving himself so much more work to do in a time when his every move is under public scrutiny. Why doesn't the man take the "lazy" option and just do the work himself?
I'm rewatching the hbomberguy and toddintheshadows videos about james somerton and it's so funny to me to think that james somerton was convinced that straight women were some how offended by gay male sex scenes like the one in red white and royal blue. It's so obvious that he barely spent time in fandom spaces bcus straight women are very much a part of gay male shipping spaces and often produce and consume explicit content related to it to the point where straight women are demonized for it and called fetishizers😭😭
rip James Somerton you would have LOVED to plagiarize someone else's analysis of Heated Rivalry
hate hate hate when queer men act like women liking mlm content is somehow malicious. especially when they tell me "well, it's okay that you like it, but when straight women like it," blah blah blah. like setting aside the fact that I'm also agender anyway, who tf cares if straight women like yaoi? not me those are my sisters. your misogyny doesn't cease to be misogyny when the target of your vitriol is cishet.
Everyone always mentions the stealing when we talk about James Somerton, which is good, but I still can’t get over that quote Todd in the Shadows highlighted from James’s co-writer Nick where he went “yeah I don’t like doing research so I just kinda guess at what happened in history and make shit up.” If only I had that kind of confidence I would be mayor of a major city by now
I think a lot about the fact that the real genius of Hbomberguy’s plagiarism video was not just the exposé aspect of it but the fact that it so effectively demonstrated WHY plagiarism is bad.
When teachers warned against plagiarism in school, they made it seem like the reason it was bad was because it got you out of doing work. Plagiarism was bad because it was lazy. And that is (1) not a very strong deterrent to students who are only taking this class and writing this paper because they’re forced to and therefore don’t care about the work, and (2) missing the real harm behind the action.
On some level, yeah, plagiarism is bad because it will prevent you from learning how to write well on your own. There’s a real fear that a generation of kids won’t know how to write (which means they won’t know how to think) because they’ll be so used to having an “AI” machine do it for them that they’ll be helpless without it. That is very much a concern. But it’s far from the only issue. Harry laid out the other problems really well:
1. Plagiarism is enshittification. When you have to reword stuff to hide that you’re stealing it, the writing will be clunkier, wordier, more awkward, and less natural-sounding. This makes the piece worse, which isn’t good for anyone. Who needs more bad writing in the world?
2. Plagiarism spreads misinformation. Again, stealing stuff usually requires having to reword things to get around plagiarism checkers. That can make it very easy to (accidentally or purposely) rewrite a sentence to now be false instead of true. This is made worse by the fact that hiding the source of the information makes fact-checking impossible.
3. Plagiarism is anti-educational. If the audience doesn’t know where something came from, they can’t go visit that source to learn more about the topic. They’re prevented from finding any additional knowledge, which makes research—and therefore progress—difficult.
4. Plagiarism makes it impossible for creators to earn a living, thereby making it impossible to create. Funnily enough, this means less material for plagiarists to steal from, so the whole scam is really just a snake eating its own tail. Like all scams, it can’t last long. When plagiarists can make huge profits by stealing and putting out content faster because they’re stealing, the real creators who actually do the work have no chance. They can’t compete because they can’t create as fast as a plagiarist can steal. So they don’t make as much money, which means they can’t live off their work, which in turn means they can’t create anymore. This keeps going until all that’s left is stolen garbage.
There’s a lot to love about that video, but this part in particular is my favorite by far.
