it doesnāt feel like mid december here in north carolina today. so, iām remedying that with the only sensible way i know how; with some coffee, chocolate and the smell of fraser fir to keep me in the holiday spirit.
a three hour drive to and from is so much better with good company and some freshly cut christmas trees atop the car (at J&D Tree Farm)
experienced our first snow together this weekend. she loved it. (at Appalachian Mountains)
tackling an intimidating to-do list today, but afterwards, itās to the mountains to escape for a bit.

last night, @jessicadonar @michellelyerly @elizabeth_boyette and myself hosted a gathering for twenty something photo friends. we wanted an evening focused on community, not a night of taking tons of photos (in fact, this is one of the 2 i took). we wanted to get to know each other better, learn more about the people, not their businesses and to create new bonds with friends from weāve only known through that thing they call the internet. in short, it was incredible and i am beyond grateful to call everyone there a friend
