when will the "joke" about binghe fucking shen qingqiu's corpse die 😭😭😭😭 I'm begging. it's such a heartbreaking plot point and it says so much about binghe's grief and devotion and love for shen qingqiu. and he was so offended by that misconception when it came up in roc bc he would NEVER. and idc if it's a joke I'm tired of it being such a common thing to bring up as if it's fact or something he would have ever considered!!

i think when shizun smiles earnestly, it’s so beautiful and refreshing that everyone’s meridians in a five mile radius are cleansed and reenforced, their bodies purged of all impurities and their heart demons banished, but his smiles are so rare, so precious, it hits everyone like a freight train and leaves them speechless.

but when he’s trying to muffle his laughter—the loud, boisterous, uncontrollable, takes-you-by-surprise kind—i think it looks a bit like a grimace. his nose scrunches like he’s just hit his elbow and he’s trying not to moan about it, the corners of his mouth pinch downwards like when he’s scowling, but just a bit lopsided, and his eyes scrunch up in a way reminiscent of when he scoffs at the contents of a contrived story. the skin of his cheeks folds with the movement, his smile lines deepen and stretch, and he has shallow dimples on his chin when he pushes his bottom lip upwards to hold back his amusement.

he knows he looks ridiculous, so he attempts to stomp down any reaction whenever something funny happens at inopportune moments (which is always, in his mind—he should never look so undignified, immortal master that he is), attempting at a stony, unmoved expression, but it slips through sometimes.

thing is, he does look a bit ridiculous, a bit odd—but everyone, when they witness it, is enraptured. when the fan flutters, snaps open, and censors it, they all heave a disappointed sigh inside their hearts, and get back to what they were doing, now half a measure more wistful than before.

I love binggeyuan sm because without the façade of lofty cultivator, Shen Yuan is just Some Dude.jpg and yet Bingge (all-powerful, stunningly beautiful demonic emperor, ruler of the three realms, owner of a harem the size of an average city) sees this fuckin 5'5 chronically online neet that does nothing but read trashy porn and chug redbulls and he's like ".... well, I can't NOT fuck him!" All because he maybe possibly sorta could be his shizun in another life

Bonus points if Bingge's wives are supportive of him despite thinking SY sorta looks like a de-shelled shrimp that fell on the ground

Silly bingqiu idea: Binghe is worried shizun has someone on the side... CLEANING for him

He knows sqq is super loyal (shizun says in his hometown people don't have harems! They marry one person for life! How romantic!) so he will never worry about shizun looking at another person that way.

BUT. He refuses to let anyone else clean or cook for his husband!! BINGHE is the wife! HIM.

Just thinking of a lot of "cheating tropes" but they're turned really silly and ridiculous. Instead of finding lipstick on shizuns collar, he smells the robe and goes "Who washed this!? I don't use this detergent!!"

He'll see food in the kitchen and start crying "shizun ate another man's cooking!? In OUR HOME!?"

He can't accompany shizun on a mission because he has work in the demon realm, and he's stuck on the throne holding his head in his hands wondering if shizun is using this business trip to, gasp, frequent those terrible establishments. (Restaurants)

Meanwhile shen Yuan feels super bad about binghe having to do everything around the house, so he's slowly been trying to help more. He tried washing his own clothes and cooking a bit, but binghe seems to hate it. He must be really awful at chores! Hopefully he'll get better with practice
