“Wait, what?” She looked at him, feeling dumb. She looked at his chest then his eyes. She wanted it though. (Omg, Abbie told u haha!!)

"I gotta say, it's a bit different...I wasn't much of a dancer before I ended up here and this isn't exactly a hip establishment." He smiled, gently straddling her, his hips picking up a smooth, slow motion. "Still, if it's what you want." He quickened his pace, hands carding through her silky hair.

Tate's pupils dilated, a shiver running through the center of him, pushing against his belt buckle. Fuck, this wasn't normal. He rarely ever...especially in this place...but it was for Violet. Is this what she wanted? It was out of character for her, but the boy had learned better than to try and predict her moves.

just a little housekeeping- it seems like i'm chugging through replies, and not getting a lot in return. are y'all busy, or do i write in a way that's hard to reply to? i realize this must sound super like "oh wah no one likes me" but i'm legitimately just asking. after all, there's no need for waterworks, it's just roleplay. please, i'm open to feedback. i sort of feel like my tate is boring to you all, which i understand completely. don't worry, he's going to come out of his shy shell. after all, he's only been in the asylum for a little while.

Ingrid watched the boy inhale. Tate, he’d said his name was. She shook her head, smiling. “There’s no catch. I’m kind of new, too, actually.” She looked at him a moment, then extented her hand. “I’m Ingrid,” she said, smiling slightly. “Wh-” a scream interrupted her question. Two men had gotten into a fist fight, and most of the inmates crowded around to watch, until the orderlies ran in to take them back to their cells. She glanced at Tate wide eyed, before giggling quietly to herself. “Welcome to Briarcliff.”

Hesitantly, Tate took her small hand in his, quickly shaking and releasing it. With a little nicotine in his system, he was more at ease, and he wasn't about to snub a potential new friend who was willing to distribute smokes and casual conversation. He rolled his eyes as the men were dragged away from each other, running a hand through his tangled hair.

"Yeah, still gettin' used to that. I mean, I'm damn fucked up, but where I lived before? Pretty non-violent. Welcome, indeed."

Violet could see that Tate was visibly upset - causing her heart to wrench sharply. It was like someone was fiddling with a loose, rusty bolt in her chest and forcing it in awkward directions. She froze as the patients lingering in the background noticed a shift in Tate’s behaviour - but of course they weren’t truly ‘aware.’ It was sick to place Tate in such a cesspit of corruption. Trying to feed him all of these minuscule pills as if to ‘fix him’ - it made Violet angry, a blistering rage deep within her chest. 

“No, no.” Her tone was timid as she reassured him, he didn’t deserve to regret his mistakes. He was simply misunderstood, she knew that he wasn’t a bad person. Far from it, everyone makes mistakes. Violet thickly swallowed the words clawing at the inside of her throat, “It’s not your fault. You don’t need to be lonely anymore.” Violet breathed softly against Tate’s nape, planting a gentle kiss on his collarbone. “They’re shitheads,” She whispered casually, “They don’t believe i’m real.. they haven’t hurt you, have they?”

"No, not really." Childlike, he sniffed, tugging one sleeve over his hand to dab at his nose. He was blowing it. She'd come to comfort him, to be with him in the dark and dank and sick, and all he could give as thanks were his tears. Pathetic. Drying his eyes, he craned his head to plant a feather-light kiss on Violet's lips. Plush, just as he remembered, and forgiving.

"I'm wasting time, being upset—you're right, they're shitheads. So, what do I do now, Vi? Can I do what I did before, what I did to get thrown in here?"

☀—;     It was getting close to lights out but as usual, the blond was wandering. It’s not like she slept anyway. She didn’t like to. The time that was spent with her eyes closed was the ultimate worst. Arms wrapped around her tiny frame, a thick wool sweater covered most of her body as she quietly made her way down the hall. Where she was going didn’t really matter to her. If she was lucky, she would stumble on a way out. Violet highly doubted it though. Taking another turn, the blond stopped a few steps short, peering down the all. “Shit.” Lost, who could believe it. “Um .. Anyone?”

Through the thick lavatory door, Tate could barely hear the small voice in the hallway, but he managed to pick it up, the light, dulcet notes. Violet was out and about...but why hadn't she come to him? In all the time they'd been together, Tate had never had to search for Violet. Chucking the filthy feather duster into his cleaning bucket, which was then discarded, Tate opened the door and tore into the hall, stopping when he reached his prize.

"Violet! Oh, I'm so glad to see you!" He pulls the girl into a hug, forgetting that he smells like toilet water, forgetting that if he's caught making too much noise and someone comes out to check on him, he'll be embracing the air. It's easy to forget little issues when you're head over heels.

"What are you doing out here? You always know where to find me, Vi..." He releases her from his grip, hand gently reaching up to smooth her hair. "Is it 'cause I was in the guy's room?"
