It had been awhile since I did this. The very first recording I posted as Bye Bye Eye was a 45 minute series of piano improvisations that I made totally unplanned ill-prepared recordings of. It happened to work out fairly well other than having been made with a laptop pinhole mic, so the audio was clipped an relatively awful. A recording engineer friend of mine helped clean it up but had limited source material to work with. I called it Muses. Here, 5 years later is its sequel. Having recently come into possession of a far better portable recorder, I headed in to the same room, same piano and decided to record what I felt like that day. This is the result, and the audio is so markedly better I’m thrilled. Also, the title track I’m quite proud of. It truly had no origin beyond this moment in time, and I think managed to be a very honest emotional expression. I’m well pleased with it, short and sweet.
