The fact that your source is an article from five years ago about one extremist who was, in fact, arrested, and that this occurred in a Pride parade in *checks notes* Jerusalem, really…….. doesn’t prove what you think it proves.

The reality is that the Jews who are anti-LGBTQ+ and base those beliefs on their understanding of Judaism are (a) in the minority at this point, especially in the US, and (b) really only impact other Jews. I challenge you to articulate exactly how Judaism has harmed LGBTQ+ folks who are not themselves Jewish.

If you can’t name an actual harm, then what you’re doing is intellectually lazy and frankly antisemitic.

Edit: Forgot to point this out because it should go without saying, but there are PLENTY of bigoted non-religious people who hate LGBTQ+ folks just as much and do act on it. So that argument really doesn’t hold water either.

Not trying to be pedantic on this, but it’s also worth pointing out, as a queer, non-binary observant Jew, that your goyische hatred of Judaism does at best nothing to help LGBTQ+ Jews with intracommunity homophobia/transphobia, is more likely actively harmful to those conversations, and is actually indistinguishable from our perspective from other antisemites.

See, the thing is that antisemites usually paint Jews and Jewish practice as social evils, and use that to marginalize, hurt, and not infrequently even murder us.

So no, you don’t get to “hate religion” or even “Abrahamic religions,” because you don’t know the first thing about most of them, you certainly don’t know enough about Judaism to validly critique it, and your critiques as an outsider are actually indistinguishable from run-of-the-mill antisemitism.

P.S. - a fun challenge for people who are still on the “hate Abrahamic religions” train: how many Abrahamic religions are there? Can you name the central beliefs of all of them?

War Thunder is a game where you buy tanks, planes, warships and other military vehicles and have battles. By all accounts if you like those types of games, it's one of the best ones around

But what the game is famous for is that all the tanks in game are real military vehicles. And whether their stats in game are accurate to the real world is a hotly debated topic among players

Which had lead to multiple instances of players leaking classified military documents on the War Thunder forums to win arguments over whether their preferred in-game tank is or is not accurate

Of the top of my head, this had happened 6 times now, the most recent instance being within the last week, but I don't play it so there may be more I'm forgetting

The game Devs have had to repeatedly ask their players not to commit treason over the game, and to date, they are not being listened to

I think a fundamental aspect (though not the only one) of why a lot of twitter people failed in their attempt to come to tumblr is that plenty of them are in the “sassy banter” part of the tech tree, where they think that hitting someone with a sitcom zinger is the biggest own possible, but tumblr is on the “kill yourself” part of the tree, which is the hard counter to that.
