Did a lot of research today! Really wanted to focus on Selena’s design. It’s important to me that her story in Conundrum is taken extremely seriously, and for this reason I don’t want her to come off as some typical tv/movie zombie. I’d really like for her appearance to reflect the horrible situation she was in and her murder/disposal. For this reason I took a leap I was slightly uncomfortable with and watched some short docs on human body farms. Saw a lot of dead folk in multiple stages of decomp! Took detailed notes, and I’ve come out of it with a lot of new ideas. Haven’t started doodling designs yet, but I took a lot of time looking at remains and I’ve got different versions of her in my head that I’m excited to put on paper! Never been so thrilled to look at gore (is it gore if it isn’t meant to be frightening/shocking/scary? not sure…)

The problem with having OCs is that sometimes you wanna read about your little guy being in situations but unfortunately he is YOUR little guy and no one is gonna put him in that situation but you. Tragic.

➲ got a new sketchbook and the first three pages have been dedicated to character design! i’m having fun 😈 glad to figure out gina’s hair, which has been a long present issue in my brain. also thrilled to have figured out correct colors for gabe. i was going to green, he needs a little teal…

➲ did this over the course of the last like three days :) proud of it. happy with this character design… this character specifically is really fun to work with. she’s evil and I’m evil.

➲ did this the other day and i’m loving it! this was the first time i’d ever sat down and drawn an actual piece of this character and im happy with it. i’d been really wanting to draw their missing poster.
