Request: Imagine where you’re Jax’s old lady and you were raped so you have scars on your back
You were staring at Jax’s back for about a half of an hour. Dark ink of his tattoo was clearly visible even in the dim light from the street and you resisted a strong desire reach out your hand and touch it for almost all of that half-hour, but not because you didn’t want to wake your man up. You knew he wasn’t asleep. His breath was too unsteady to be a breath of a sleeping man and, you thought, that was just a bonus to the reasons why you kept restraining yourself from even touching Jax. The reasons why you were awake late at night, just as he was. Insomnia became kind of a good friend of yours since you got back home - alive and almost unharmed after being kidnaped as a lever of pressure on SAMCRO president. But that was it, that was the most important little word. Almost. Going through an experience like this was rarely something that can be passed without any scathes and this time wasn’t an exception. And despite all the horror you survived, all that living hell that bastards who kidnapped you made you went through, this marks that were left on your body as an eternal reminder were still the worst. And still the hardest. Every day you spent a huge part of your time in front of the mirror, not being able to turn away from the traces on your back and legs that already started to turn into deep scars. You tried to hold on and not to show any weaknesses as well as Jax was already too freaked out during and after all that shit, but in that moment near the mirror, when you were on your own, you couldn’t help yourself but felt tears on your cheeks again. And also there was that estrangement from Jax… First, you thought that it was just an attempt to give you some space so you could get used to a normal order of things again, but after time it became something regular and something you could barely stand. When the danger to do more harm to you passed, and the doctor confirmed that there is no need to treat you like you were made of glass, you thought Jax will take it easier, but nothing really changed. He was talking to you with usual warmth and softness, trying to do everything you ever asked, but you couldn’t miss the fact that he avoided touching you. Even accidental, meaningless touches. You tried to think about some painless, reasonable explanations to this, but the only thing that was persistently pulsing inside your mind was the thought that he simply didn’t want you anymore. It wasn’t in Jax’s style to just kick you out or hurt you in any way even if his feelings for you started to change. He was always too good to you, after all. And he was too good to just admit the truth that will break your heart… Though it was breaking it already.
So here you were. Lying late at night beside your old man and being afraid to touch him as if it could reveal the fact that he wasn’t yours anymore. It seemed like you could feel as the scars on your back was burning, reminding what is the root of all of your heartbreaking troubles and at some point, when this feel became unbearable, you decided to put an end to it. To check out if your fears were real, or your disturbed, burning mind just drew them to itself. His skin was warm, almost hot when you ran your fingers along the image of the reaper, and you felt as he started a bit, before turning his face to you.
“You ain’t sleeping, hun?” The expression on his face was slightly worried. As always lately.
“No,” It was hard to control your own voice. “It’s just something else on my mind… Not sleeping,” You moved your hand to his neck, leaning closer. Unfortunately, you couldn’t realize that you were shaking, but Jax could feel it clearly when you moved to him and put the other hand on his stomach, running it down and leaving no doubts about your intentions. Though he asked anyway:
“Y/N, what are you doing?” He frowned a bit. After a moment of hesitation, Jackson caught your hand, not letting it moving further. “I don’t think this is a good idea…”
“Why not?” You still were trying to snuggle up to him, though it was clear that he wasn’t about to encourage your actions. They were full of some kind of despair, but somehow he didn’t see it, concentrating on your strong shiver and his own reason to stop you.
“I don’t…” He just leaned away a bit to see your face more clearly, but you instantly regarded it as a rejection and recoiled. It took you a single moment to move away to the other side of the bed.
“You don’t want it,” Being sure that you know exactly what he was about to say, you finished his line. Turning away, you wrapped your arms around your knees and whispered, “You don’t want me.” This time, it wasn’t a question, it was kinda conclusion you’ve made to yourself that brought you to the edge of tears again. You could feel as Jax was looking at you, being completely confused and helpless in front of something he just couldn’t understand immediately. But when he did, he just sighed loudly, knowing that it was his turn now to move closer to you.
“What’s this about, babe?” He asked when he approached you from the back so you felt his warm breath touching your neck.
“You don’t want me,” You repeated quietly, staring into the dark space in front of you. “I knew it… I felt it. You don’t even touch me anymore,” Hiding your face in your hands, you tried your best not to start crying like a little girl. “I understand. It’s happening since I got back and I can’t blame you, this scars, they are… Disgusting. They constantly remind you about…”
“About how freaking scared I was when I thought I can lose you,” He interrupted you suddenly. “Jesus, Y/N. Do you really think as you said? I still want you, and I always will, no matter what, and all I wanted to say was just that I don’t want to hurt you. I’m so freaked out that something may still harm you, babe… Don’t you understand? I just…” He broke off, leaning a bit forward so his forehead touched your shoulder. Closing your eyes, you were waiting for him to continue. Every word he said, every thought was echoing inside of you with some bittersweet aftertaste - pleasant and painful at the same time. And you needed this weird symbiosis so bad.
“I just want you to be safe. I want you to feel safe. You hear me?” He looked up. You replied nothing but silently nodded, being sure he will see it from that close, even despite the soft darkness around you. He did. “I want you… I want you, babe.”
And finally, you felt his touch for real. His warm, a bit rough fingers touched your spine, moved to your scars. You breathed in faster, so the air almost crushed into your lungs with sharpness, while he was kind of traveling along that deep marks, taking all of the pain away with every moment spent in the sense of his presence. “All of you,” His beard pricked your neck when he placed a kiss there, whispering in your ear, “Always.” After that, you turned around to meet his eyes. They were on you, and so were his arms, carefully caressing your body that was still shivering to the bone, though now the reason was different.
“Feel it?” Instead of responding, you leaned forward to answer his kiss.
Finally, you felt it for real. You felt his presence and his desire, felt that relief that covered you when you threw away all the thoughts that brought you so much pain. It seemed like his acceptance was the only thing that mattered and now, when you got it, you could fully enjoy all the things you’ve missed so much. The heat of his body, the way he held you in his arms; still incredibly carefully, but tightly. You could run your fingers through his hair, and then leave long red marks from your nails on his back when he appeared to be too close, for the first time after your return.
“I love you, babe,” He said, touching your cheek lightly.
“Love me,” You asked in reply, reaching out for another long-expected kiss.
You needed it so bad.
