alright first post

i wanted to say how fuckin fed up i am with the state of a large amount of society

we build our pillars out of bloodied flesh of the working class and hope that one day we get to be on top of the building they hold up but it is designed to never allow us up

we built our societys on slaves and colonialism, and so many refuse to even think about it because they find it uncomfortable

of course its goin to be fucking uncomfortable! but that doesnt mean you can IGNORE IT

everyone knows that AI is fundamentally bad for writing but don't really know the explanation, its often "Ai is bad because it's not written by a human thus not a piece of creative work" while this is true, the more condemning part pf Ai and using it as a writing tool is that Ai is just Math and Algorithms, it only predicts the next word in a sentence,

it quite literally makes writing a mathematical formula which is the exact opposite of what writing is. there is nothing more polar opposite than Math and Creativity

So for context I primarily do screenwriting.

A wild mess of google docs, notes in my notes app, Pinterest boards, Spotify playlists in chronological order of the story, voice memos and pure vibes.

Almost every brainstorm/scraps notes page/doc is named “THIS ONE” or something similar because hubris.

I never stick to any outline despite having several half finished ones. I also save a million copies of each draft which all sit on my desktop.

Don’t…don’t ask me about my premiere pro projects.

I tend with my Screenwriting to do one planning and one writing page, most of the stuff I want/think of doing in a given film script is put in the planning and that would be labeled "future you problems" because often I get scene ideas out of order,

when I will be writing act one, I'll be thinking about a scene for act three, writing act two? becha I'm thinking about how to start the film, and so on however one time I wrote a cannibal horror feature and listened to sweeny todd for the entirety of writing it, that was a vibe.

I tend to also to a memory test with all of my ideas, not writing them down for a few days and if i remembered them then i know it was a worthwhile idea and not some random 3am thought of "lets put a dragon here"
