it's genuinely exhausting at times being a female sports fan, being constantly reminded that our interest is not taken seriously by any corner of the sporting establishment. not by the media not by the governing bodies not by the (male) athletes. i'm speaking about f1 here but to be honest the f1 landscape, hostile to women as it is, is better than other male-dominated sports. the fact that we have communities full of women & lgbt sports fans is a testament to our passion, because they exist in spite of the establishment. if we don't take ourselves seriously then who will
