"I was not exactly given a choice. Originally, I was to rot in the dungeons of Asgard for the rest of my assuredly wretched existence." Trick's expression grew amused. "To my utter amazement, the Allfather, in his infinite wisdom, then decided that I should be given the opportunity to repent for my crimes against the Midgardians, and thus prove my worthiness to be allowed to repent for my crimes against Asgard. Thor, apparently, felt redemption was what I sought." His brows rose. "I can't imagine where he got that idea."
