Mostly oneshots and other ramblings about the Saja Boys. I'm unapologetically obsessed, and I hope you find some enjoyment here too. Stick around and chat for a while!
Hey guys! I'm sure you've noticed, but I've been absent for a little bit now. Not to go too far into it, but I just got burned out and I lost all motivation to write and create in general. BUT I'm doing a lot better now!
I'm trying to ease myself back into writing more now that my motivation is coming back. So you can expect maybe two or three posts a week for now. I have closed my requests, just so I don't get overwhelmed with anything new until I can clear out everything.
That being said, would you guys rather see me finish up the flufftober fics that I missed or go through the backlog of requests?

Sorry I've been gone for so long... I kinda got burned out, but I'm trying to ease myself back into writing for these guys. Hopefully this one turned out alright.
Pairing: Abby x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, slight angst, comfort, humor, reader is forced to pretend to date Jinu despite already being with Abby
Word Count: ~ 750 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 20: Fake Relationship
It all started as a PR stunt. They thought it would be a good look for you that would boost your popularity as a solo idol to be dating Jinu. He was the face of the Saja Boys, so it made the most sense for it to be him. It also explained why you were spotted around the group so often in public.
But you and the guys knew the truth. It was really just to cover up your relationship with Abby. Their team wanted Abby to appear to be single because they thought his popularity might diminish if he wasn’t seen as being attractive and available. You thought it was a stupid idea from the beginning, but you didn’t resist when you realized you could be free to go on public outings with your boyfriend just so long as the rest of the group was there, and Jinu stayed as close to you as Abby did.
It was a very small consolation, though. And it was starting to take its toll on both of you. Your managers had started forcing you on dates alone with Jinu to keep up appearances. The only silver lining is that Jinu is just as conniving as you and Abby about the whole thing. Dinner dates were third-wheeled by Abby via phone. Movies let Abby sneak in after the lights go out and sit on your other side. And other events were usually characterized by you spending more time texting Abby than talking to Jinu, and Jinu in turn teasing you both about it.
But tonight’s red carpet event is a breaking point. The media is demanding in their barrage of questions. Why is Abby always touching you? Is Abby trying to break you two up? Why doesn’t Jinu do anything about it? Why can’t Abby be happy and respectful about your relationship with Jinu?
You can see Abby clench his jaw and refuse to acknowledge the questions. But you can see how much they hurt him. You know he wants to snap at them, and you are incredibly proud of the restraint he shows. But when he tucks his head and takes a step away from you, you are the one that breaks. You don’t yell at the reporters or dispute the claims because they don’t matter. Only Abby matters right now.
You cross the distance that he created, turning your back to the crowd to focus entirely on him. You gently cradle his face in your hands and he looks at you with wide eyes. “I don’t care what they think; I’m not going to hurt you anymore. I love you, Abby.” Without hesitation, you push up onto your toes and press a firm kiss to his lips.
Abby responds quickly, wrapping his arms possessively around your waist. “I love you, too.” He murmurs against your lips as you both get lost in the moment, the relief and love shared between you both. You don’t realize until you pull away for air that the other four guys are standing between you and the flashing cameras, forming a barrier and preventing them from getting a good shot of you and Abby wrapped together.
Romance glances back with a sly grin and a wink before you are all ushered off to a more private area. Baby grumbles about losing and then hands Romance something.
“You bet on us?” You accuse them and then gasp when Mystery groans and hands over something as well.
Romance grins. “I knew you would be the one end the whole fake relationship thing. It’s clear that you just love the big guy too much to keep it up.” He shrugs and counts his newly acquired money.
“I thought Abby would lose it first, though.” Baby complains.
“You bet on me, too?” Abby asks Mystery, slight pride slipping into his amused tone.
“No, my money was on Jinu messing it up or feeling guilty.”
Jinu scoffs but doesn’t seem all that offended. Then he turns to you with a hand on his hip. “You know this is going to blow up, right?”
A pit forms in your stomach, but Abby just pulls you closer. You end up pressed into his chest again with your head resting on his shoulder. “At least we’ll have each other.”
“And our support.” Romance grins.
Baby, still sulking, mumbles, “Even if you are sickeningly cute together.”
Mystery elbows him, but Abby’s laugher soothes and calms all your worries and fear for the future.
(or 5 times you help hide the Saja Boys demon form in public and 1 time they do it for you)
This one isn't related to the other three manager!reader ones I've done for flufftober because this one is while the guys are still demons and manager!reader is also a demon. Hopefully this one came out fluffy? I think it's more character study, but there's fluff in there too!
Pairing: Saja Boys & Reader (platonic)
Summary/Themes: 5 times you help hide the Saja Boys demon form in public and 1 time they do it for you, insecurities and comfort, demon!manager!reader
Word Count: ~ 2.1k words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 19: Alt 17 - x + 1
1 – Jinu
The demon in the group with the best control over hiding their marks is Jinu. You normally don’t worry about having to keep an eye out for him revealing anything. He is the picture of strength and leadership in so many aspects. He is usually the one that helps you keep the other guys in check.
There is one exception to that. The demon hunters, Huntr/x, have the ability to get under his skin and frustrate him like nothing else you have ever seen. They know it and so do you. Anytime the Saja Boys are going to be around them for an event, you always keep an extra eye on Jinu.
Insults don’t usually bother him. Jinu is always able to look the other way, unbothered. But when the female idols decide it’s necessary to throw in an extra taunt about a talent-less group of demons not belonging in their business after a show where both groups performed, you can tell that you’ll need to step in.
The insult was murmured low enough that the press couldn’t pick up on it. You quickly slip over and drop a towel in his hands. The fabric falls just right to cover the flicker of purple crawling up his hands to his forearms. He gives you a grateful smile when he realizes what almost happened.
“Thank you,” Jinu gives you a conflicted look. “I’m not sure what came over me there.” There’s moment where he just stares down at the towel, then he hands it back after he pretends to wipe his neck.
You nod, but decide to whisper something to him before leaving him entirely. “They’re upset that you’re doing so well so quickly. They feel threatened. It’s a compliment, not an insult.” You flash him a devilish grin before stepping away.
2 – Abby
Abby is a hard demon to upset. He has a tendency to laugh at insults instead of taking them to heart. He has the philosophy that people only insult people they are jealous of and don’t want to admit it. He stands tall and proud most of the time.
You can trust him to lead the others with confidence. He’s always sure of himself and has no problem standing tall in the spotlight when some of the others need to shy away or take a breather. He’s dependable and tactical about his movements when he’s guarding the others. Abby will use his appearance as a distraction to divert attention, but he also likes being a little bigger than the others to better protect them.
There is one thing that will flip that switch and trigger full anger from the muscled man, though. You keep your attention on him when people start talking about his appearance. He loves compliments and attention. But it can turn to snide remarks about him being vain and obsessed with looking sexy because it’s all he’s good for. Everyone is quick to shut that toxicity down, but it won’t stop the spark of anger in Abby.
When it happens during their arrival at an event, you react first. The comment gets shouted from the crowd of media, trying to get a reaction. Abby freezes and turns slowly. You slip between him and the crowd, hand at his lower back. It looks like you are ushering him along behind the rest of the group, but you’re actually conveniently blocking the patterns peeking out from below his crop top.
“They don’t understand that you’re the wise and brave protector. Only we are special enough to know your true motives and strength. Let them be.” You do usher him to catch up with the others after that.
3 – Romance
Being a heartthrob is both Romance’s strength and his weakness. He is the flirty sweetheart that makes the fans swoon. He’s good at delivering playful compliments and genuine praise. His comments and one-liners are the ones that blow up on all the fan sites. He may come off as just a vapid beauty, but he is actually the most calculating and careful one in the group.
Romance is quick-thinking, but he doesn’t say anything without making sure that he knows exactly how the fans are going to hear and interpret it. He is a master of cultivating a specific public image. He plays into being a pretty face and soaks up the attention he gets from it. But there is one thing that will completely undermine his carefully curated image.
Your heart sinks when the interviewer says it. It’s an offhand comment about Romance pretty but air-headed and a hopeless flirt. You can see him bite back the cruel retort he wants to give. Jinu is quick to turn the comment into something more flattering but you can see that Romance is still seething, barely hanging onto his composure.
Unable to really interrupt the interview, you hand him a jacket as discreetly as you can. He takes it quickly and slips it on, shoving his hands deep in the pockets to keep as much skin hidden as possible. He manages to make it through the rest of it with a pleasant smile and small comments.
When they step away from the cameras, Romance comes to thank you. Pulling him aside, you allow him a moment to take a deep breath. You see the patterns crawling up his neck and across his face. You make sure no one else sees it.
“You’re just too good at portraying the image. Besides, if everyone knew you were the total package of brains and beauty, the internet would explode.” You joke as he hands the jacket back.
He laughs, skin clear and mask firmly in place again. “And you’re too good at your job.” He thanks you again before you leave.
4 – Mystery
Mystery is the demon most prone to letting his patterns or demonic features slip past his idol façade. He’s not used to being the center of attention. He has no problem being part of a team or standing in the spotlight shoulder to shoulder with his fellow demons. But, Mystery can get flustered fairly easily.
He is most commonly called out for having abnormal reactions like growling or even barking at the press or rude fans. You’ve been able to carefully handle those instances through some creative PR work, but only you and the guys know that those are actually instinctual demonic reactions for Mystery when he gets surprised or uncomfortable.
He is the best at keeping his patterns from showing to the public. You chalk it up to him having the other outlets for the emotions and negative energy. That doesn’t mean he is completely immune to it.
You keep a close watch on him during their variety show appearances when he is more likely to get singled out for a game or task. It happens a good bit of the time, so you aren’t surprised when it happens again today. The host singles Mystery out to do a specific challenge. It’s another ridiculous task that you know is designed for the idols to fail for comedic effect.
Already grabbing a blanket and rolling your eyes, you wait for the spray of water and the inevitable laughter that erupts from the staff and audience. Mystery knows to seek you out the second filming stops and you meet him halfway. Wrapping him in the soft material under the guise of getting him warm, you see the tension melt from his shoulders as his patterns flair under the material as he takes steadying breaths to ease his anxiety.
“You are so brave and strong for being able to have that kind of control over your appearance.” You remind him when he hands the blanket back. A staff member offers him a new shirt and he gratefully takes it and turns to change, but he gives you a quick smile in thanks before disappearing.
5 – Baby
It’s a normal fan meet and greet. Everything is going smoothly until a few people in the crowd make comments about Baby. He’s relatively used to all the things that get said about him being a child. Usually, he plays into it like it’s a joke. His whole persona is built around people thinking he’s the cute and innocent maknae and then subverting the trope when he raps. Baby enjoys messing with people’s perception of himself.
That doesn’t mean that none of the comments bother him. If someone genuinely belittles him or tries to pinch his cheeks, the façade drops quickly. He doesn’t speak a lot in interviews because he doesn’t want to, but if someone insinuates that it’s because he can’t understand or intelligently comment, then you usually have PR work to do after the mic drop moment that inevitably follows.
But the types of comments that cut him the worst are the ones that call into question his talent or worth to the group just because of his cute face. And when you here the group quietly chatting about how they thought Abby would make the better rapper because he was better suited to the position.
You step in quickly and turn Baby to face you and away from the cameras. He looks at you with confusion and frustration. You know the latter isn’t directed at you. You subtly motion to your eyes and Baby takes the hint. His demon eyes are on full display. He takes a few calming breaths as he marks flutter lightly across his face. His eyes slip closed for a beat and when he opens them again, they are back to normal.
Before he turns back to the camera, you catch his arm. “You know they’re only saying that because of the killer rap you wrote and coached Abby through on the last single. That’s a compliment to your talent, even if they don’t recognize it.”
He smiles and noticeably relaxes. “Thanks,” he adds as you step back out of the idols’ space.
+1 – You
You are well practiced in keeping the guys from revealing their patterns or demonic features to the public. But sometimes it slips your mind that you also need to be careful of that. You’re just a manager. You think that you don’t really spend too much time in the public eye. When you’re at an event, people aren’t looking at you, they’re looking at the Saja Boys.
Keeping your strong emotions in check is like second nature. And you spend so much time focused on everyone else that it doesn’t leave you much time to yourself. You’ve heard the negative things that get tossed around about you. That you’re holding the guys back, that they deserve better, or that you just want attention.
It’s ridiculous and you know the truth. You know they guys are grateful to have you and that you work tirelessly to help them be as successful as possible. So, it’s easy to let the bad comments roll right past you. And if you do have to take a little extra time to yourself sometimes, none of them blame you. They make sure you have the ability to step away when you need it.
That doesn’t mean you are completely immune to slipping up occasionally. You’re talking to the guys backstage at an awards event. There’re different media groups mingling around trying to get a few interviews before the main show. You overhear a comment about the Saja Boys being an overrated, one-hit group that will fade quickly when people realize that they don’t have real talent.
You see red. You clench your teeth so hard that your jaw aches. When you try to turn around and confront the stupid people, you are shoved behind a broad body. You glance up, confused to see Abby’s back. Jinu presses in at his left and Mystery on his right. They settle the misunderstanding with a lot more tact than you wanted to in the moment.
“It’s so sweet that you only lose control when people insult us.” Romance bumps your shoulder.
Baby leans in on your other side. “Eyes and all,” he whistles quietly. “I almost wish we had let you tear into them now. It would have been quiet the show.” He grins wickedly, but you know it’s just a playful jab.
“You good?” Jinu glances over his shoulder at you, giving you a thorough once over.
When they all agree that you have everything back under control, they return to the conversation they were having before like nothing had happened. It’s a relief to know that these guys have you back the same way you have theirs.
This is just a little bit of chaotic fun and another moment where the guys all act like a big family. (because that's my weakness)
Pairing: Jinu x Reader

Flufftober 2025 - Day 18: “Is this seat taken?” – “That depends…”
You are a little hesitant when you walk into the room holding a bowl of fresh popcorn. The whole group had gotten together to watch a movie, and Jinu insisted you be there too. You didn’t want things to be awkward since this is one of the first times you’re hanging out with all of them since you and Jinu started dating.
Abby is leaning in on Jinu’s left to show him something on his phone when you approach. You motion to the open spot on Jinu’s right. “Is this seat taken?”
He flicks his gaze up to you and smirks. “That depends… Are you sharing your popcorn?”
You stutter, not sure what answer you are supposed to give. The bowl is huge, and you definitely made it with the intention of sharing. But now that he’s asked, you’re not sure that ‘yes’ is the right answer anymore. You founder for longer than is reasonable before finally responding with a very eloquent, “I thought so?” And yes, you do accidentally make that sound like a question.
“Then that seat isn’t available.” Jinu’s smirk only widens as he pats his lap. “This seat’s free though.”
You blush bright red, not at all expecting your boyfriend to be so forward in front of the other guys. After another brief hesitation, you settle in his lap, careful not to spill any of the popcorn. Jinu wraps his arms around your waist and helps you get comfortable.
“Really? Is the PDA necessary?” Romance complains, but you can tell he’s just teasing.
“No, no,” Abby responds quickly. “This is more convenient popcorn placement.” He snags a handful from the bowl you’re holding and stuffs it in his mouth to prove his point.
“Oh, good call.” Baby flops into the spot on Jinu’s other side and snags a handful of popcorn for himself.
Romance rolls his eyes, then he and Mystery both settle close enough to also reach the popcorn with relative ease.
“See? Now everyone gets what they want.” Jinu tightens his grip on you. He flexes his fingers against your side, so you know that he never intended to eat the popcorn; he just wanted the excuse to hold you.
You lean fully into him as the movie starts. The popcorn is gone way before the movie hits the halfway point. You set the bowl aside and intend to slip into a different seat, but Jinu is quick to reel you back in.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He whispers in your ear.
“I was just going to sit in my own seat.” You whisper back.
Jinu pulls you back against his chest and wraps his arms around your waist. “This is your seat, darling.”
You’re glad the room is dark enough to hide your blush, but you don’t try to get up again after that.
Is it just me that's better at coming up with costume ideas for other people, but can never come up with something I like for myself?

Flufftober 2025 - Day 17: Making or Buying a Costume
You thumb through another aisle of costumes and let out a heavy sigh.
“So, you haven’t found anything you like either, huh?” Romance slips his arms around your waist from behind and rests his chin on your shoulder.
Shaking your head, you look at the display of couples’ costumes that seem more ridiculous than interesting. “I didn’t think it would be so hard to find something I like. Maybe I’m overthinking it.”
Romance hums and presses a kiss on your jaw. “I get it. You just want this year to be special.” He spins you around to look at him. “How about we put together costumes for each other? I know exactly what I would want to see you in.” He smiles and takes your hands. “Let me dress you. You’ll be gorgeous.”
You think it over for a moment and then nod eagerly. “Yeah, I have the perfect idea for you.”
Both of you spend the next few weeks gathering items to style each other’s outfits. You try to guess what the other person is doing, but neither of you wants to reveal it until the night of the party. You arrive at Romance’s place with a zipped garment bag and a pair of shiny black dress shoes.
Romance’s eyes light up when he sees it. “Oh, I can’t wait to see you have for me.” He takes the clothes from you and ushers you into his guest room where he has your costume laid out on the bed.
You take in all the pieces, the white dress, elegant jewelry, silver shoes, and the tell-tale white feather wings and halo. You smile and suppress a laugh. It looks like the two of you will match after all.
The dress fits like a dream and hugs you in all the right places. It’s not something you would have picked for yourself, but you have to admit that Romance knows what style really flatters your figure. Once you have the shoes and accessories on, you settle the halo in your hair. You hold up the wings. They’re lighter than you expected but you can’t figure out how to get them without messing up the feathers.
“Isn’t this a little… on the nose?” Romance walks into the room. That solid black suit with red accents fits him perfectly. You’ve always had a soft spot for seeing your boyfriend in a well-tailored suit. And the cute little horns peeking out from his hair are the icing on the cake.
“It’s funny,” you snicker.
“I’m already a demon.” He gives you a pointed look.
“I know, but you make it look so good this way.” You smile and then hold out your wings. “Can you help me into these?”
Romance takes them and carefully slips them over your shoulders. His hands slip down to your hips and turn you toward the mirror. “And now everyone will see you for the angel you are, sweetheart.” He kisses your cheek when you blush.
“You’re so cheesy,” you whine.
“And you love it.”
“Yeah, I do.” Your eyes meet in the mirror and you both smile contently.
I have no real explanation or excuse for this other than sometimes adults want to have cute things without being judged...
Pairing: Baby x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, Baby being adorable, reader collects plushies and Baby feeds the addiction
Word Count: ~ 600 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 16: Pillows, Plushies, Piles of Blankets
You try to watch most of Baby’s public appearances live when you can, but you missed the one this afternoon. The Saja Boys were booked to promote a popup shop that is going to sell their merch for the holiday. You figured you would end up going to the shop anyway, so it wasn’t super important for you to watch the promotional video.
The shop wanted the guys’ live reactions and opinions, so you were certain there would be some cute candids of Baby that you would want to save for later. When you curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate and a blanket, you pull out your phone to see if you can find some new pictures of your boyfriend.
You nearly drop the phone when you find a picture of Baby cuddling a stuffed lion with a teal mane that matches his hair color. The plushie is absolutely adorable and you make a mental note to go buy the whole set later. You continue to thumb through photos of Baby being cute and carrying around the little lion like it’s his new best friend.
Eventually, you find a video clip of him. He’s being cool with his normal flat expression that you’ve come to associate with his public persona. When he spots the stuffed lion on a display, his eyes go wide and bright like a child on Christmas morning. He snatches it up and gives it a squeeze. Then, instead of putting it down, he settles back into place with the plush cradled against his chest.
You set your phone down so that you can rub your temple. It’s moments like this that make you realize that he’s never living down the childish accusations and labels fans give him. You know the truth. He did it because he knew you would like the little lion and wanted to make sure you saw it. You love cute, soft, adorable things and he loves giving them to you.
He’s told you before that a lot of his reactions are just him imitating how you would react to certain things. You would be insulted that he thinks you’re childish, but when he gives you candy and eagerly helps you amass your stuffed animal collection, it makes it forgivable. And that lion really is cute. You pout and sink further into your blanket.
There’s a knock at your door a few minutes later. You set your half empty mug down on the table and go open the door. Baby is standing on the other side with a huge grin on his face.
“I got you things.” He has two large shopping bags clutched in one hand, and he holds out his plushie mascot to you with the other hand.
You gasp and happily take the blue-haired lion. “He’s adorable! Thank you!”
Baby laughs as you tug him inside and push him towards the living room. You grab another mug of hot chocolate from the kitchen and offer it to him. He takes it gratefully, handing you the bags.
“You got the whole set?” You pull the other four lion plushies out of the bags, struggling to hold them all at once.
He laughs at your antics. “Technically they gave them to me. I might have oversold my appreciation. I have a feeling I might be getting a lot of plushies in the future.”
“That’s fine.” You grin and settle on the couch next to him after arranging all the plushies around you like pillows. You cradle the Baby-lion in your lap and let your boyfriend pull you in close to wrap your blanket around both of you.
“Yeah, I thought you wouldn’t mind that.” He kisses the top of your head and settles in for a cozy night together.
“This looks fun.” – “Not the word I would use, but okay.” - Mystery
Apparently, I just want reader to be comforted after getting scared, because I have now given you a second day of it. I'll make up for it tomorrow by being sickeningly sweet.
Pairing: Mystery x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, playing video games together, reader gets scared and then gets cuddled, Mystery being adorable
Word Count: ~ 600 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 15: “This looks fun.” – “Not the word I would use, but okay.”
You hold Mystery’s hand as you both look over the selection of video games at the store. The two of you have a standing takeout-and-video-games-night once a week. Mystery wants to try something new for your date-night though, so you both ended up here on your way to pick up dinner.
“This looks fun.” Mystery holds up a horror game.
You frown at the blood splatter and cobwebs dominating the art on the front of the game case. “Not the word I would use, but okay.” You’re not a huge fan of horror games, but you’ve played a few that were alright. Maybe this one wouldn’t be so bad, and Mystery looks genuinely interested in it. You sigh and agree to get the game.
When you get home with the game and food, Mystery immediately gets the game ready while you focus on dinner. You settle on the couch and spread the containers out on the table, picking up your favorite one to start with.
Your boyfriend drops a controller in your lap. You smile up at him and offer him a bite. He takes it without hesitation and then drops on the couch next to you. Both of you eat with quiet conversation as the title screen of the game screeches and creaks in the background.
Mystery eventually gets impatient and sets his food aside halfway finished with it and starts the game. You laugh and put your container back on the table and pick up the controller. You get a fair bit through the game before you really start regretting your decisions.
The game does a great job of creating tension and anxiety in the players. You spend long moments on the run from a snarling monster. When it jumps out to grab your character after a prolonged silence, you gasp and drop the controller. Mystery laughs at your reaction. You would have joined in his amusement if it wasn’t for the sickening crunching sound that followed and rather graphic allusions to your character’s untimely demise.
Your eyes screw shut, and you curl in on yourself, regretting for just a second that you decided to eat right before this. The sounds of the game completely stop, the sound of the console’s home screen oddly soothing in the moment. Mystery carefully puts a hand on your knee, encouraging you to unfold. You slowly relax and he pulls you into his lap.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know it would upset you that bad. You should have told me before we started.” He presses a kiss to your cheek like an apology.
“Don’t be sorry, I didn’t know it was going to bother me so much.” You lean into his touch. “I’m sorry I ruined your fun.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” He tightens his grip around your waist. “I just wanted to spend time with you, so this is just as good to me.” Mystery kisses your cheek again as if to prove his point. “Do you want to play that cozy game instead?”
You nod. He hands you back the controller that you dropped and starts up the familiar game. Mystery doesn’t let you shift out of his lap, just turn around to see the screen better. He holds his controller in front of you and rests his chin on your shoulder. Every now and then he presses small kisses on your cheek, jaw, and neck. Eventually he has you giggling again and you see him smile brighter than he has all night.
Summary/Themes: established relationship, haunted corn maze, Abby being a menace and then being absolutely adorable, reader gets scared
Word Count: ~ 600 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 14: Stuck or Lost Together
Abby takes your hand, intertwining your fingers with the utmost care. Before you can even think “oh, how sweet,” he’s pulling you off towards another attraction.
You thought bringing him to a harvest festival would be a fun way for him to experience current human culture. And it was fun at first, seeing his eyes light up at all the different foods to try and games to play. But the excitement started to wane a few hours in, and you realize he was only getting more excited and energetic as you were slowly getting tired.
When the sun set, the festival shifted towards more scary themed events. Abby is ecstatic as he pulls you to the corn maze. Instead of being a fun and relaxing puzzle like it was a few hours ago, it’s now rife with jump-scares and pretend creepy monsters.
“Are you sure about this, Abs?” You ask hesitantly.
“It’ll be fun, babe. Come on,” Abby grins widely, leading you into the maze.
You make the first turn and hear a scream. It must be someone further in the maze. You press closer to your boyfriend, wrapping your free hand around his bicep.
He smirks down at you. “Are you scared of monsters?”
You glare up at him. “I’m dating a demon. Fake monsters aren’t going to frighten me.”
“Are you sure? That grip you have on my arm says otherwise.” His voice is taunting as we make another turn in the maze.
There’s another gruff yell followed by a horrified scream about three rows over and you decide that Abby is not moving fast enough. You grip his hand tighter and start pulling him faster through the maze. You take turn after turn, not sure which way is out anymore as your heartrate picks up. You just want to get out before one of the costumed workers jumps out at you.
“And now we’re lost,” You grumble when you pull up short at a dead end.
Abby laughs and turns you to face him. “You can just admit that your scared. You know your big, bad demon boyfriend will protect you from any monsters.”
“I’m not scared of monsters.” You accent your statement by poking him in his ridiculously sculpted chest. “In case you haven’t noticed, monsters, specifically the big-bad-demons, are my type.” You cross your arms over your chest. “I’m just very easy to startle, and I have that shrill horror movie scream when I panic.”
A masked stranger takes that exact moment to jump out, screaming right at you. You let out a squeaking scream and practically throw yourself into Abby’s chest. His arms tighten around your back, locking you into his protective embrace. The staff-member leaves you quickly, off to find their next victim.
Abby rubs a soothing hand down your back as you try to get your breathing back under control. “I understand now. I’m sorry, babe.”
You glare at him again, eyes watery from you moment of panic.
“Do you want me to carry you out?” He asks genuinely, all hints of teasing gone. “You can climb on my back and bury your face in my shoulder while I find our way out. How about it?”
You hesitate until you hear a howling scream off to your right. You just nod and let Abby help you onto his back. He supports your weight easily and just chuckles every time you squeeze your arms around his shoulders a little tighter from the scream and scares.
I guess this could be a continuation of day 7 and day 9? But you definitely don't need them for context. It's not even specifically mentioned that reader is their manager... I also struggled to keep this one platonic. So, if you squint a little bit, chunks of this come off more poly than platonic. Whoops.
Pairing: Saja Boys & Reader (platonic)
Summary/Themes: excessive bashing of reader's terrible ex, chaotic humor, Romance, Baby, and Abby are all menaces, Romance especially in this one, they all just act protective and caring in different ways
Word Count: ~ 1,000 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 13: Alt 7 - "Can I Kiss You?"
You watch the crowd casually as you sip your drink. The boys are mingling professionally, idol personas on full display as they charm everyone that comes close to them. It’s a charity event that has multiple idol groups on the guest list. You’re pretty sure you spotted one of the Huntr/x girls a few minutes ago.
You nearly spit your drink out when your eyes land on him. It’s your ex. Your relationship with him had been one of the biggest mistakes of your life. At least it only took you six months to realize that he was a lying, cheating, dirtbag. But that was still six months too long.
Ducking behind a table, you carefully peek around the room. You lost the scumbag somewhere in the crowd to the left. In your panic, you make eye contact with Romance. He gives you a very confused look and mouths “are you okay” with a tilt of his head. An idea forms half-baked in your head, but you decide in the moment to just go with it.
You take one last look toward the crowd before standing with all the confidence you don’t have. You stride across the floor like you belong in the spotlight. Romance grins at your bravado as you approach him.
“Look at you! Demanding space like the gem you are.” The man compliments you loud enough to get the attention of the other guys. Abby whistles and you can’t help the small chuckle that bubbles out at the playful antics.
“Can I kiss you?” You ask quickly when you get close enough to whisper to Romance and still be heard.
He looks like he’s about to crack a joke, but he pauses and looks at your eyes like he can see into your soul. “What’s wrong?”
“My ex is here.” You whisper.
“The walking red flag?” He questions, distain clear in his voice.
“Yes,” You groan. “I need to prove that I’m not hung up on him anymore and that I can do so much better.”
Romance’s brows draw together. “First, you don’t have to prove anything to that waste of oxygen. Second, I’m going to pretend that being told I’m better than him is actually a compliment and not an insult that you were comparing us at all.” He gives you a pointed pout, but quickly bounces back to his normal flirty attitude. “Now, about this kiss… What were you wanting? Tongue and everything?”
You nearly choke on your own tongue. “No! I was just thinking a little peck on the cheek.”
“Pity,” Romance frowns playfully. “We could have started so many rumors.” He slips an arm around your shoulders and angles you back towards the crowd. He turns his face to whisper directly into your ear. “But we can still put on a show for him like this.”
Where he has his head tucked could be very easily mistaken as more than platonic and you’re grateful that Romance is so willing to play along. He presses a quick kiss to your cheek and then faces the crowd again with a wicked grin like he just got away with something dangerous.
“Oh, are we pretending to flirt in public now? That’s an interesting choice.” Abby comments as he casually slips an arm around your waist.
“The two-timing jerk is here.” Romance explains.
“The lying rat?” Baby asks, leaning close.
“The one.” Romance confirms, nodding in the general direction of your ex.
Abby’s arm tightens around you. “They let him out in public?”
You snicker at the accumulation of insults. Romance slips away to mingle again and Baby easily slides into his spot, elbow propped on your shoulder.
“You deserve so much better than that walking heartbreak.” Abby focuses on your reactions. “You let us know whenever your ready to date again and we’ll find you someone good.”
“If they can survive our test, that is.” Baby grins devilishly.
“Survive?” You repeat, looking at him.
Baby nods seriously. “They have to be good enough for you.”
“And it’s a very high standard.” Abby grins
“You won’t be alone forever, though.” Baby pokes your side and grins again.
“You give us the order and we won’t stop until we find someone worthy of you.” Abby smiles.
You thank them but then they both get called off in different directions. Before you can reconsider hiding for the rest of the night, Mystery steps up beside you, placing a warm hand on the small of your back.
“Romance explained that you’re having a difficult evening.” He states calmly, drawing his head close to yours.
“I am, but you are all making it so much more tolerable.” I smile gratefully at him.
“Good.” His smile is small but genuine. “You do so much for us, I’m glad we can return the favor occasionally.”
You settle comfortably by his side while he talks to a few of the other guests. He eventually gets pulled away as well. Once again, you’re left standing alone. When you glance up, you see your ex walking towards you. You start to panic but a quick whistle catches your attention.
Jinu is standing a few feet away. He holds his hand out to you, fingers curling to beckon you closer. Without a second thought, you cross the space to stand by his side. He gets you so entangled in the conversation with the couple in front of you that your ex isn’t able to get your attention, much less speak to you.
Jinu drapes a casual arm on your shoulder when he gets close again. He keeps you tucked at his side protectively for a while. Then he passes you off to Mystery and the chain continues as you get shifted between all of them. They keep you engaged and distracted for the rest of the event.
Here's the second one for day 12! Apparently, I can't choose between weather options. Hopefully you enjoy them both!
Pairing: Mystery x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, cuddling in front of the fire, demons run hot
Word Count: ~ 500 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 12: Blizzard
You pull your coat tighter around your shoulders and glance through the window. “The storm is only getting worse.” You comment as you rub your arms in an attempt to warm up.
Mystery waves you over, lifting a corner of his blanket in invitation for you to join him. “We can’t go anywhere tonight, so we might as well settle in.”
You sigh but move to sit next to him. He tucks the blanket around your opposite shoulder and then draws you into his chest. “I didn’t think this cabin would be so cold.” You snuggle into his embrace, seeking out his warmth.
“It’s not so bad,” Mystery contradicts. “It gives us a good excuse to cuddle in front of the fire without you complaining that I’m too hot.”
You pull back just far enough to look at him. “You’re like a furnace. That demon physiology of yours keeps you so much hotter than us mere humans.”
He chuckles and decides to tease you a little. “You think I’m hot?”
“Oh, shut up.” You playfully swat at his chest but then settle back in his embrace. “That’s not what I meant, and you know it. Besides, you know you’re gorgeous.”
His hum is long and drawn out. “It’s still nice to hear you say it from time to time.”
You glance up at him, brows pinched together. “Do I not compliment you enough? I try to contain most of it, so I don’t sound like just another one of your lovestruck fans.”
He presses a kiss to your forehead. “But you are one of my lovestruck fans.” Mystery starts idly running his fingers through your hair. “I appreciate that you don’t flood me with praise and compliments though. I would either end up with a big ego or concerned that you weren’t being genuine anymore.”
“Never doubt my compliments, Mystery.” You sit up slightly, reaching up to brush his hair back so that you can look him in the eyes when you continue. “You’re absolutely wonderful. I know it seems like I want to leave, but it’s just that the snow is making me nervous. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else right now.”
“There’s nothing to worry about with the blizzard.” He rubs a hand up and down your back. “Even if we get suck here for an extra day or two, I’m sure we can make the most of it.”
You smile at him and then tuck your head under his chin. You murmur your agreement into the collar of his shirt as you wiggle impossibly closer to the warmth he naturally exudes. He’s so warm that the fire might be unnecessary, but you have no intention of moving from the comfortable spot against him. You wrap your arms around his waist and he in turn holds you tighter. Let the snow keep falling, you’re too warm and happy to care about anything else right now.
I couldn't decide between the two options for day 12. So, I made two little fics for it instead. Which is also why it's late... Oh well...
Pairing: Jinu x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, sharing clothes, Jinu being a menace, applying sunscreen as a motive
Word Count: ~ 500 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 12: Heatwave
“It’s so hot today.” You’re lying on the floor with the hope of getting cooler. It’s not working, so you turn to Jinu with a pout. “How are you not dying?”
He shrugs, taking a sip from his water bottle. “Heat doesn’t really bother me.”
“Oh, right.” You roll your eyes and mutter, “demon,” under your breath.
He just chuckles and grins down at you. “Would you like to do something? We could go to the beach?”
You narrow your gaze, considering the offer. It would be a lot of fun, but it’s still so, so hot.
Jinu sees your internal debate and laughs. “How about I go pick up an umbrella and an extra bottle of sunscreen?”
After another pointed look from your boyfriend, you agree. You help him pack a few things including snacks and drinks. Then you go change into your swimsuit, but you can’t seem to find the oversized shirt you wanted to wear over it all.
When you walk back into the living room, you find Jinu already wearing the shirt with a smug grin. But when he gets a good look at you and all your exposed skin, he immediately regrets his decision. He stares at your body for a long moment, eyes lingering on your stomach and hips.
“Well, if you’re just going to stand there gaping, don’t let me interrupt you.” You cross your arms over your chest.
Jinu shakes himself out of his distracted state. “Do you want help applying your sunscreen first?”
You narrow your eyes at him. “I’m tempted to say no just because you stole my shirt.” You pick up the bottle and hand it to Jinu. “But your hands are always cold, so you’ve been spared.”
He smirks. “I’m glad to be able to help.” Jinu starts to slowly rub the sunscreen into your skin. He starts at your shoulders and carefully works his way down, paying special attention to your hands and sides.
When he goes over the same spot on your waist for the third time, you pull away. “You’re taking advantage of the situation.” You mumble, leaning forward to apply the sunscreen to your legs yourself.
Jinu laughs and steps back, watching carefully as you work. After you finish, he offers you one of his shirts. “Maybe I am. Can you blame me, though? You’re gorgeous.”
You smile and take the shirt, slipping it over your head in a smooth motion. “Don’t think you can distract me with compliments. Did you steal my shirt just so I would wear yours?”
“Is that what you want to focus on right now?” He smirks, motioning towards the door.
You laugh and grab your bag. “You’re right. Take me to the beach, Jinu. If I’m going to be hot, I would like the option to go swimming when it gets too unbearable.”
He chuckles and then presses a kiss to your cheek as you pass, following close behind you.
Today is mostly humor with a shot of romance and fluff. I hope everyone enjoys this one even though it's a little short!
Pairing: Abby x Reader
Summary/Themes: established relationship, humor, Abby is upset that he gets called a "teddy bear" and then has to prove a point to reader
Word Count: ~ 500 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 11: Alt - 11 Up Against the Wall Kiss
“Babe, can you believe this?” Abby shoves his phone in your face.
After you blink past the initial shock, you focus on the screen. It’s a social media post when a collage of photos of Abby. They are all moments of him being especially sweet or helping the other group members. The caption reads “Abby is a big teddy bear istg” with a rather impressive collection of emojis. You quickly tap the screen to send the post to yourself.
“Babe!” Abby snatches the phone away with a whine. “Did you just send that to yourself?”
You smirk and save the photo to your phone. “That’s a good collage. I’m making it my background.”
Abby looks so offended that you can’t help but laugh. “Don’t laugh! You can’t possibly agree with that!”
“You are a big, sweet teddy bear though.” You smile cutely at him.
He frowns. “I am not. I’m big and strong.”
“And super cuddly.” You state flatly. “You’re not helping you case.”
Abby huffs. “I’m the one with the sex appeal in the group.”
Now you just want to push his buttons for a little bit. “That could be Jinu, though. He has the face.”
He gapes at you. “But I have the abs!” Abby lifts up his ridiculously tight t-shirt and points at his flexing stomach.
“Yes, they’re very pretty.” You pat his arm like you’re consoling someone. “But that doesn’t affect your teddy bear personality.” You try to suppress your laughter when he glares at you. It slips out anyway and you have to turn away, stepping back from him.
Suddenly, Abby is in your space. He’s determined and confident. Your heart rate speeds up as he presses a palm flat against your chest and pushes you until your back hits the wall. His other arm moves to rest over your head, effectively caging you in. You look up at him with wide eyes. His gaze is sultry and seductive.
The room feels like it’s heating up around you. Abby’s hand moves from your chest, up your throat, and cups your jaw. He tilts your face just right to dive in for a searing kiss. You slip your arms around him, clinging when your knees go weak. You’re panting when he pulls back.
There’s a smirk on his face. “Could a teddy bear do that?”
You blink up at him, everything making sense now. “I never said you couldn’t be both my sexy boyfriend and a giant teddy bear.” Your smile is soft when you reach up to caress his cheek. “You make me feel comfortable and safe. I can depend on you to be gentle and caring with me when I need it. Being my teddy bear isn’t a bad thing. Plus, you are a fantastic cuddler.”
Abby’s tension fades. “That sounds good when it’s with you.”
You stand on your tiptoes to kiss his nose. “Good, because I would love to go cuddle on the couch right now.”
He just sweeps you into his arm and carries you into the other room to do just that.
I love that Baby sometimes gets labeled as aroace in the fandom because I can definitely see it. And I have a personal attachment to the idea of well-intentioned friends trying to shove together the only two ace people they know like that's going to end in anything other than the world's best friendship.
Pairing: Baby x Reader
Summary/Themes: pre-relationship?, getting together?, both Baby and reader are somewhere on the aroace-spectrum so they really just become friends, but could be more depending on how you read it?

Flufftober 2025 - Day 10: Set Up by Friends
Your friends swore that this guy was “absolutely perfect for you” and “you just need to give him a chance,” and they promised that you wouldn’t be disappointed. Rumi was the first one to bring it up. Zoey was the loudest and most persistent advocate. Even Mira had agreed and encouraged you to try one date just to see if he interested you.
You had never met him directly, but the girls had all shown you tons of pictures of Baby. You had heard some of their music and met most of the other members of the group when they were on various dates with your friends. Each of them made similar comments from time to time.
You reminded them each multiple times that you didn’t really have any interest dating anyone right now. They insisted that Baby had similar hesitations, but they all thought that you would make great friends if nothing else. It might have just been to stop their persistent remarks, but you finally agree to go on a date with the idol.
The Huntr/x girls help you get ready. They pick out your outfit and insist on doing your makeup for you. You let them fuss over you, enjoying the chaos and laughter that always surrounds you when all four of you hang out like this. The sinking feeling doesn’t settle in until they announce that you are ready. It forces you to remember that all of this is for a date that you didn’t really want.
When you get to the restaurant, you find Baby quickly. He’s dressed up as well and looks just as uncomfortable as you feel. You introduce yourself and take a seat. He gives you a quick once over, focusing more on your hair and jewelry than your figure.
“Compliment her.” You hear the comment smothered by a cough. Your face scrunches in confusion. Leaning to the side, you make out Romance huddled into the booth behind Baby. He looks like he’s trying to stay hidden, so you shrug it off and focus back on Baby.
“Your hair looks nice?” Baby says awkwardly, the words coming out as more of a question than a statement. There’s another cough behind him and he adds, “It’s a cute style.”
“Thanks,” You smile at the compliment. “Your hair looks nice too. I love the color.” There’s a groan from the booth behind you that sounds an awful lot like Rumi. You start to turn around and look, but an appetizer is set on the table in front of you, distracting you before you can.
You chat casually with Baby as you eat, discussing hobbies and interests. Every third sentence there’s a groan, a cough, or some muttered words from different places around you. It’s three specific tables, actually. You actively ignore it until you’ve finished dessert because as annoying as the prying is, you aren’t going to let it come between you and cake. Baby has slowly gotten quieter after every instance, appearing to get more uncomfortable.
You lean forward and drop your voice to a whisper. “I’m getting tired of the audience. Do you want to get out of here? Maybe go to an arcade and actually have some fun?”
Baby’s eyes light up and the tension visibly leaves his shoulders. “Absolutely!”
You stand quickly, telling the staff to send the bill to the table behind you. Rumi pretends to act surprised, but Jinu just waves over the ticket, accepting without complaint. You wave and Zoey and Mystery at the second table on your way out, and Baby sticks out his tongue to the third table that has Romance, Mira, and Abby all squeezed together.
You and Baby laugh, now light-hearted and happy to actually be doing something you enjoy. You spend the rest of your night playing games together. Clearly, they were all correct about the two of you getting along, even if they didn’t understand exactly how you would fit together.
So, this is actually a continuation of sorts from Day 7: Moving Day. It takes place about a year later after the guys have all gotten very comfortable living with you and are happy to welcome you home.
Pairing: Saja Boys & Reader (platonic)
Summary/Themes: manager!reader, continuation of day 7, returning after a vacation, post-movie, they all lived and are now trying to be normal idols without their demon abilities
Word Count: ~ 800 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 9: Coming Home
When you return home after spending two weeks with your family, your only hope is that whatever problems the boys had gotten themselves into will be easy to get them out of. So, when you open the apartment door and hear arguing, you aren’t surprised. But you stop in your tracks when you can understand what they are saying.
“Hurry and get this cleaned up! We don’t want this disaster to be the first thing our darling manager sees. It makes us look completely hopeless.” Romance’s complaint can be heard clearly over the clanging of pans in the kitchen.
“Well, aren’t we slightly hopeless without our darling manager?” Baby retorts putting exaggerated emphasis on the last words to echo the other idol.
Romance huffs, “Don’t be a brat.”
You stifle a chuckle at the exchange, then focus on the voices coming from the living room.
“I think we need more blankets, or just bigger one.” Abby groans.
“Are you sure this movie will be alright?” Jinu asks.
There’s a few thumping noises and a muttered curse from Abby. But it’s all drowned out by the splash and scrapping sounds coming from the kitchen.
“Hurry! It’s almost time—” Mystery’s voice cuts off as he steps into the hallway and spots you. “Nevermind.” He quickly crosses the space and pulls in for a tight hug. “Welcome home.” Without asking, he takes your bags from you and heads to your bedroom with them.
“What?” Jinu's head pops around the corner. “Oh! You’re back already!”
Abby steps around him, still holding a blanket and a throw pillow. “We didn't expect you so soon.”
“I noticed.” You chuckle. “What’s all the commotion about?”
“We were trying to do something extra special to welcome you home.” Jinu rubs the back of his neck.
“Yes, there was supposed to be a homemade meal, followed by a movie and some games.” Romance strolls into the hallway. He looks as polished and put together as usual except there is a rather large wet spot from his chest to his thighs and up to his elbows on his shirt.
You smile softly at the plans they made just for you. “That sounds wonderful!”
“Except I ruined the food.” Baby steps into the hallway with his arms crossed. His face is in a full pout and also smeared with flour and something pink that you can’t really identify.
“I got the wrong movie.” Jinu adds, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Abby raises the blanket he’s holding. “There was also a mixup with the blankets in the wash…” That’s when you notice that the green fabric isn’t new, but rather that it used to be tan. It also looks oddly smaller, but only in certain sections.
“I was supposed to be on the lookout for you and make sure you were distracted until everything was ready.” Mystery says when he returns to the group.
Romance drops his gaze to the floor. “And I didn’t have time to set up any of the games.”
Your smile doesn’t falter but you do burst out into happy laughter. All the guys look at you curiously. “It makes me so happy that you would all put in so much effort for me. A year ago, you didn’t even want me in your space.”
“And now we can’t function without you for two weeks.” Romance confirms with a small smile.
Baby balks at that. “Hey, we were demons for years. We should be more than capable of surviving without some manager telling us what to do.”
“Of course you are, Baby. You all just aren’t used to doing things like this for someone else.” You wink at him. “Which makes it even more special that you tried to do all of that for me.”
They each give you a smile in turn.
“Now, I think we can still salvage tonight.” You rest your fists on your hips and give each of them a serious look. “If we all pitch in, we can get the kitchen clean and a new meal ready in no time. Then we can watch one of our favorite movies for the thousandth time and decide which games we want to stay up late playing.”
They all agree, and you quickly slip to your bedroom to change clothes first. You stop in the doorway and look at the mound of stuffed animals on your bed. You poke your head back out in the hallway. “Um, where did all of these come from?”
Mystery grins. “We thought your little lion would get lonely without you, so we each got him a friend.”
Your heart melts a little at their softer sides. After you change, you scoop up all six of the stuffed animals and drop them on the couch to wait for the movie before you head into the kitchen to help with the cooking.
This one is more chaos and humor, but sweet and fluffy at the end. I hope everyone is having a super cozy flufftober so far!
Pairing: Romance x Reader
Summary/Themes: pre-relationship, getting together, confessions after chaos, Romance is "cursed" to be invisible and needs true love's kiss to break the spell
Word Count: ~ 900 words
Flufftober 2025 - Day 8: Cursed
“Please! Tell me you can see me!” Romance looks at you with wide, pleading eyes.
You give him a curious once-over. He’s very obviously frazzled. His hair is a mess and there’s an odd stain on the front of his shirt. When you sweep your gaze back up to his panicked face, you remember that you actually need to answer his question. “Um… yes?”
“Oh, thank goodness.” Romance practically falls on you in his relief and excitement to give you a hug.
You awkwardly pat his back, still not sure what’s going on. Not that you would complain about being wrapped in the idol’s arms since you’ve been hiding feelings for him for a while now. “Is everything alright, Romance?”
“No, something terrible has happened!” He pulls back from you but leaves his hands resting on your shoulders like he needs the contact to stay grounded. “I’ve been cursed.”
“Cursed?” You echo, completely flummoxed by his answer.
Romance's shoulders sag visibly and he frowns. “Yes! It’s absolutely awful. I accidentally knocked over this strange pink bottle and it got all over me.” He motions to the stain.
“And that cursed you… how exactly?” You are patiently trying to put all the pieces together.
“It’s made me invisible to everyone!” Romance beams down at you. “Well, almost everyone.”
“So, you’re telling me that I’m the only one that can still see you?” You attempt to clarify the bizarre conversation.
“Yes! Because you are my one true love.” He is absolutely serious when he says that.
You blink, trying to will your rapidly beating heart back into a normal rhythm. It feels like there’s no air left in your lungs, but you desperately need to get to the bottom of this before you have a heart attack. “One true… what?” Your voice cracks and you practically choke on the words.
“True love!” His hands slide down your shoulders to grab your hands, cradling them against his chest. “True love’s kiss can break the curse. Baby said so.”
“I don’t think you should just take his word like that…” You mumble, glancing around like the man is going to pop out from behind one of the chairs or tables. You had your suspicions that this curse wasn’t entirely true, but hearing that Baby is involved makes you doubt it even more.
“But it makes sense, angel. That’s why you’re the only one who can see me! It’s because you are my true love!” Romance smiles innocently. “Once I realized what happened, I immediately knew I needed you to help me. Or, at least, I had hoped you would be the one destined for me since you’ve already stolen my heart. So, I need you to kiss me now.” He starts to lean in and you panic.
You quickly step back and hold your hands up in front of your face. “Hold on, Romance! You can’t just kiss someone like that…” You know your face must be flaming red. You really want to kiss him though, and you debate just going with it to let it happen. But the last thing you want is for your first kiss with him to be because of some weird curse or prank and not because he really cares about you.
Romance looks distraught by your response. He looks like he’s unsure what to say next, his expression shifting to concern and regret. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gone that far.”
Dropping your hands from in front of your face, you focus on him. “Ro, what are you talking about?”
“I’m not really cursed.” He says it plainly, shoulders dropping a little further.
There’s a squawking noise somewhere in the distance followed by a thud. You ignore it.
You chew on your bottom lip for a beat before responding. “I figured as much. But what was all of that? Why do any of it?”
Romance sighs. “I could tell Abby and Baby were trying to prank me. I played along just because I was curious what their end goal was. When I realized that it was to get us to kiss, I let my hope get the better of me.” He looks at the ground like he’s ashamed of his entire existence.
Stepping forward, you close some of the space you created between the two of you. “Hope for what?”
He doesn’t look up. You can hear him try to swallow down his nerves. “I hoped that maybe they saw something or knew something about your feelings that I had been to blind to see.” He finally looks back up and meets your eyes. “I really like you. And I let myself foolishly believe that they did all of this because you felt the same way.”
Not knowing how else to respond, you reach out and take his hands. You clutch them to your chest in a reversal of his gesture moments ago. “I like you too, Romance. But I didn’t think there was any way you felt the same.”
Romance’s expression lights up. “Oh, darling. We’ve been so foolish.”
You laugh and agree. You might just have to thank Baby and Abby after this.
“Can I kiss you?” He asks tentatively.
You nod. This time when he leans in, you meet him halfway. Both of you cherish your first kiss together, knowing there are sure to be many more in the future.
This one is just platonic fluff. I love the idea of all the guys just acting like a big family, so that's kinda displayed in this one. I hope everyone enjoys it!

Flufftober 2025 - Day 7: Moving Day
“Alright! I think this is the last one.” Abby sets the box on the floor of your new bedroom.
“Thank you, Abby. I really appreciate the help.” You smile as he leaves you alone to unpack.
“Are you sure this is a good idea, Jinu?” You hear a muffled voice, and you are almost certain that it was Romance.
You drop in front of the box closest to the doorway and try to make out what they’re talking about.
“Yes,” Jinu sighs out his reply. “For the last time guys, we need a manager to help get us back in the spotlight, but correctly this time.”
“We were doing fine before…” That petulant response sounds like Baby.
“But it’s going to be harder this time because we don’t have any… extra talent.” Mystery’s response is both quiet and cryptic. You’re not entirely sure what to make of it. None of the original members of the group are missing, so you are left to wonder about what he meant.
The Saja Boys had been on a break for the past few months and their overnight popularity didn’t stick. But with you as their new manager, you’re hoping to help recultivate that excitement among the fans with their comeback.
There’s a gentle knock on your door and you turn to see Jinu standing in the doorway. You stand quickly, only to bend forward in a bow. “Thank you again for giving me this opportunity to work with you.”
Jinu smiles and returns the gesture before stepping into the room and looking around at the piles of boxes and blank furniture. “Would you like a hand unpacking?”
Your smile widens to something more open and genuine. “I would appreciate that.”
You focus back on the box in front of you, pulling your clothes out and moving them into the closet. Jinu tugs open the box you had shoved over by the bookshelf. He hums as he pulls the books out one at a time to line them up on the shelf.
“Ancient mythology and dark romance,” Jinu holds each of the books up and turns to face you. “You have a very wide variety of interests, it would seem.”
You shrug. “Are you asking to borrow one?”
He chuckles and puts them both on the shelf. “I just thought it was an interesting mix.”
“Wait until you get to the spicy ones.” You tease.
Jinu blushes for a second but then quickly recovers, trying to tease you in return. “The mythology or the romance?”
You pause for a minute before flashing him a quick grin. “Both.”
His blush returns and he decides to focus back on the task in front of him without any more commentary.
After getting most things set up in your room, Baby comes in to offer you a snack. He leans against your desk and offers you a bag of chips and a soda. You take them gratefully, not even bothering to get off the floor where you were sorting through some of your shoes.
“Those are cool.” Baby nods towards the pair on your left.
“They are surprisingly comfortable. I should wear them more.” You comment as you decide which shelf to put them on.
Baby pops the soda can open and passes it to you, settling beside you without another word to help you arrange all your shoes in order by color. It’s not how you were going to organize it, but it actually looks really nice, so you just go along with it and drink the soda.
When you start putting away things in your bathroom, Romance waltzes in. His arms are crossed over his chest, but his expression immediately softens when he sees the skincare bottle in your hand.
“Isn’t that brand amazing?” He quickly steps into your personal space and starts sorting through all your bottles and supplies. “It’s so nice to have someone else here who actually cares about their skin.”
“Maybe we can sneak some of this into the others' routines.” You hold up a moisturizer that you really like. “I think it would help everyone.”
“It would. They have such dry skin.” Romance grins down at you. “I think I have something you might like to try.” He comes back a few minutes later with a jar.
Once you get those things in order, Romance leaves with a smile on his face. You turn your attention to emptying the last few boxes of blankets and decorations. You unroll a poster and try to tack it up on the wall, but the corners keep curling back on you.
“Here, let me help.” Mystery offers before smoothing out the top edges so that you can secure them in place.
You thank him and move to unpack the last remaining things. Mystery stays to help you unwrap the smaller trinkets and arrange the few items on the last remaining shelf.
“Nice choice.” He motions to stuffed animal tossed haphazardly on your bed.
“Oh, yeah.” You laugh nervously and then cross the room to finish making your bed. You tuck the little lion under a blanket to keep it away from any other prying eyes. “I just couldn’t get rid of him.
Mystery shrugs. “No shame in holding onto comfort items. We all have our own things.” He turns and leaves after that.
Abby comes in a few minutes later. “Do you need a hand throwing away all the boxes and packing supplies?”
You happily agree, allowing him to break down the boxes while you gather up the other trash. Once everything is cleared out, Abby surveys your space and nods. “You made it look good.” He compliments you.
“Thanks, I was glad I could get it all done in one day.” You relax into the desk chair.
Abby laughs. “And just in time for dinner! Let’s go eat with the others.” He motions for you to follow him into the kitchen.
Everyone acknowledges you with small gestures or quiet acceptance. You’re not entirely sure what kind of secrets these guys have, but you think today has been a pretty good start at getting comfortable with each other.
