Caine tugged downwards and Jax followed, too surprised to even put up token resistance. They weren’t quite eye to eye; that wasn’t possible with Caine’s feet stuck to the floor, but it was good enough. From this close, all he could see was the expanse of Jax’s wide eyes, pupils tiny pinpricks in a sea of gold.

“Do it,” he dared. “Shut me off.”

All eyes were on him, as they should be. He was still the ringmaster of this circus, even if they had seen through all his tricks. The show was well and truly ruined, and it was time to put it to rest. This was the final curtain call.

“And this time, don’t bring me back.”

Well, DMW part's X didn't hold the record for being my comic with most pages for long....welp

ONE YEAR OF DEAD MAN WALKING AU !

To celebrate here' a redraw of the first ever piece of DMWcontent! :D

Well, so it's already a one whole year since I drew this teaser art for an AU comic.

Idea for which randomly spawned in my head while listening to Kitchen Fork by Jack Conte, while trying to draw something entirely different .

At that time I didnt know the impact this silly funny drawing would have on my life. I mean, it was a quick doodle, done in around twenty minutes.

But now, one year, ten comics, 78 comic pages, and countless miscellaneous Dead Man Walking AU-related posts later, I can safely say this series has been way more successful than I would've ever expected :D

When I made this AU I didn't didn't think there would be so much positive feedback, seriously, the amount of fanart it spawned is incredible I'm grateful for the community that grew around it <3

A lot has happened during this year, making a making a comic about a doppelganger trying his best to not expose himself pushed me as an artist I must say.

Now, I know i said I would try to make the next comic for this special day but, there're still a couple pages to be done and I woud prefer to NOT rush those, given that these pages are ....very important.... for the plot of DMW......

The next comic is going to have even more pages than the previous one 👀
