I thought this was just another computer generated 3d animation. Turns out it's stop-motion! (Frankenwienie is too, btw)
I love this logo design! Kudos to the designer.
And here is a video that shows how Norman was built.

It's important to have a good sense of humor. I grew up with the Stooges. This looks like it will be a nice tribute to the masters of slapstick comedy.
Read about this guy in HOW Magazine and had to check him out. Cool video.

It should be obvious I am a pretty big fan of comic books and the recent surge of movies. If not I'm hiding it unintentially!
I have thouroughly enjoyed 83% of the comic book-based movies put out since that one day technology caught up with the imaginations of comic book creators and Stan Lee experienced something that surpassed his.
These trailers are proof that comic book cinema has reached a new peak.
A great graphic designer works well with the creative director just like a great actor works well with the director. The graphic designer’s job is to execute what the creative director envisions. It’s all about leaving the ego at the door, allowing your skill to be wielded.

This is a great quote and so true. It's important not to listen to people when they tell you you're wrong. Haters can bruise your egos and crush your confidence. This will inevitably stunt your creativity and could imprison you in that box we're always trying to break out of.
I wanted to share this moving commercial.
LA-based Green Dot Films director Rafael Fernandez chronicles one woman’s fight with cancer in a poetic new :60 spot called “Hair” for OU Medicine’s Cancer Center out of the ad agency BVK, Milwaukee/Chicago. Using hair growth as a device to mark the passing of time, “Hair” begins in the woman’s darkest hour and ends in a more hopeful, brighter time.
I cracked up when I saw the Robot Daycare commercial, but I have to admit, this one almost had me on the floor. Hilarious! It makes you wonder...next time you're in a sushi restaurant, count the fish in the fish tank (yes, there is probably one there). Next time you go back, count them again. Same number?
You have changed the world. You have inspired so many to think different. You have left a legacy that will last to the end of time. Thank you. R.I.P. Steve Jobs.
I enjoy clever outdoor advertising. Here's a few I've seen online. I'm always looking for it around and will post them when I find them.
Ivan Raszl of Creativebits.org. All Creative World, Ads of the World, and Brands of the World conducted a very interesting interview with a designer you might or might not be familiar with, Rob Janoff, the designer of the Apple logo we are undoubtedly all familiar with.
It's an interesting thought that a computer wasn't used to design the logo, but pencil, paper, scissors, and glue...mediums we might not have touched since grade school! Every so often, thank your computer for making your job that much more efficient.
There are many rumors about the design of the apple logo--the meaning of the apple, the bite, and use of the rainbow.
I encourage you to read the article to clear up these misconceptions and, at least, learn from an experienced designer.

A graphic designer's job is to convey a message visually through text, images, and various designs. Sometimes that message is really important. God bless those who were lost or lost a loved one 10 years ago today.
I have mixed feelings about Toshiba's new zombie campaign. I think turning into a zombie as a result of drinking spoiled milk is creative and clever. However, it happens so fast, and the commercial shows during the day and quite often. Does anyone else think it could be a little scary for young children? I'm so afraid my son will see it and have nightmares. I'm like in a wild west quick draw with the remote trying to turn the tv off when I see it. Maybe this one should only play at night.
New York animation studio, Motherland, created this exciting trailer for The New 52, DC Comics' new line of #1 comics, including original Music & Sound Design by Michael Madill, Madsound. If you don't read Batman or Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc., now is the time to start. The motion graphics in this video, and motion comics in general, really adds a new dimension to comic books as the characters are lifted off the page and the action comes alive. Very exciting!
My wife just had 3D Lasik Eye surgery at Hunter Vision in Orlando, FL. Not only did it go wonderfully, but as soon as we entered the office, we felt comfortable. The staff was attractive and warm, the interior design was inviting, and beautiful images and HD nature videos graced the walls.
As a graphic designer, I was drawn to the logo. Clean. Simple. Appropriate. Perfect.
As the logo is etched in the class on the front door, the brand immediately sets the tone for the office, and in accordance with Hunter Vision's impeccable attention to detail, the logo is even impressed into the napkins available to guests.
The credit goes to Maven Creative, an Orlando-based ad agency. Kudos.
