hello there! welcome to my studyblr.

i'm currently a microbiology student.

i want to start learning korean and want to resume learning coding.

i'm an avid reader and i love consuming media content.

my main purpose behind starting this blog is to ensure that i stay on track with my academics and make time to learn other things i want. i'm usually the person who puts too much on her plate at once, and ends up getting almost nothing done. i wish to get better at that. i want to be able to manage my time very well.

hopefully, this blog will be helpful in that. i'll try my best to post as regularly as i can and i hope we can help each other out :)

One second I’m in London wrapping up data analysis, the next I’m in Austria watching a snow storm rage outside of my bedroom window. What a week this has been!

I managed to complete everything I wanted done before I left, and now I can enjoy a stress-free week skiing in the mountains. It feels amazing to be moving my body for so much of the day, and I'm already starting to feel recharged. This is also giving me more time to focus on tasks I've been neglecting, like getting some intense language practice and trying to figure out the coding problems I've been having. That being said, I'm trying to remind myself that I won't benefit from working too much when I'm supposed to be on vacation, so most of my time is still dedicated to chilling.

I hope everyone is enjoying their break! Take care of yourselves and rest up as much as you can so we can slay this new year.

hello fellow bloggers, it's actually been quite some time since i last posted. christmas, new years', the transition from winters to summers and a whole lot of festivities went by. a lot has happened, including passing my first sem exams, visiting the hospital frequently (i'm alright now), apartment hunting, going on my first ever college trip (which was super fun btw), and getting back to exam season again. i've also taken up a second degree which is related to data science and programming, because i just LOVE to challenge myself (lol). i still haven't resumed learning hangul properly (sigh), but i did make time to read for fun, like i used to, in the midst of all these crazy assignments and projects. i know i say this every time, but i seriously want to be regular and post here.

@ the anon who asked about ochem resources: tumblr ate my draft grrr but. I haven't taken ochem in uni yet, so there isn't much I can honestly recommend, but I definitely can recommend the organic chemistry tutor on yt and the Chemistry Library: here's the ochem section. I wish you'd ask me this around March once I've started my ochem course 😅 Sorry I can't be more helpful :(

🌿16th December, 2023 🌿

it's been a while since i last updated. i'm done with the practical exams for this semester, and am now preparing for the theory papers. for some reason, we have lots of study leaves in between the papers, which is a blessing for me, since i'm feeling extremely unprepared.

the good news is, i can make lots of time now to continue learning korean and also do a little bit of coding. so, i'm looking forward to that.

exams have already begun. today i took my photography exam, the written part was really good, but i sort of messed up my viva. my mind has been cluttered since the past few days, so i went out today after my exam and had this delicious fluffy pancake at a cafe.

It's officially exam season. So, I'm trying to focus and cover as many topics as possible with full understanding. It seems like the past two months just flew by too fast. Lots of new experiences and I'm sure there are more to come.

a little update:

i believe it's needless to say that A LOT has changed since the last time i logged into this blog. if i appeared on your dashboard before posting this, you probably know that i was studying engineering. yes, was, being the keyword here.

first things first, i did not enjoy studying engineering, as much as i thought i would. therefore, i had been wanting to change my major and possibly my university for a long time. i'm so happy to say that i could finally do it, and all of this happened very unexpectedly. right now, i'm in a different university, in a different city, with a different major. i'm doing my bachelors in microbiology now and so far, i've been absolutely loving it.

secondly, i did start learning korean around the time when i started this studyblr. i couldn't update much, because i was not very regular with it. also, i was trying out a bunch of new different things at the time, so often i would forget to make a post. after i accepted my seat at the new university, i suddenly had a lot to do, including moving out and moving it, adjusting to the new schedule and submitting all of my assignments and practical files on time. what i'm basically trying to say by this is, i couldn't make time to revise my korean even a bit, so i've forgotten almost everything i learnt (cries). i'll be relearning whatever i learnt before and continue learning from there.

i also have two books with me at the moment, i've been wanting to read them for years now. i'll be updating here when i start reading them. i'll also make time to watch shows and movies that i've been meaning to watch for a long time now. so, wait for those posts to see which books, shows and films i'm talking about.
