heilagt:
"Remember to take care of yourself lest there be nothing left to tend to.”
The goddess smiled at the youth, her features fair and serene as she came to stand ‘fore him in attempts to soothe his pain.
❝—I'm, I'm just fine.❞
He assured whilst caked in traces of dust and smears of dirt.
What an immaculate Hero he was-- or; perhaps not.
❝. . .May I ask who you are?❞
Because why focus on oneself when he was in company such as this. A fair maiden, clearly, but one that didn't seem quite as ordinary as some might expect.
wanderingcourage:
Cue light chuckling at his poor successor. He hadn’t meant to embarrass him, just give him a friendly bit of wisdom.
"Put yourself at ease Time. I speak from experience when I say climbing a cliff is difficult. I looked like a fool myself many times from broken bones at my attempts in my youth."
❝Surely, I doubt that was the case.❞
Feeling slight ease now that it was clear the elder lacked the judgement he'd feared, the motion of jest came readily now; although the gentleness to his tone remained.
❝I'm sure you were most graceful while lying on the floor in a heap.❞
I SUPER SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE SINCE I've been meaning to get work done all day--
so i'll
def return tomorrow to respond to everyone u v u;;;;
apologies friends!!
valorousx:
[♡;;-—!
Brows knit together in quick thought of how horrible it would have been if they fell off the cliff. Before a warning was given, it was too late.
"O—-oh? Are you okay?? I didn’t want to ruin your moment there…"
A blink towards his previously unnoticed and unexpected company, before a huff flows passed the partially open line of his mouth.
❝—Thankyou. But I will be fine.❞
Of course; he couldn't help but glance longingly at the top of the cliff he'd desired to overcome & release yet another sigh.
wanderingcourage:
"You cannot defeat a cliff Time- it is too stubborn." Don’t mind this old man who perhaps a little too amused by you.
❝—Honorable predecessor!❞
Oh my, now he's embarrassed. And up the lad climbs back to his feet; perhaps a tad worse for wear than prior.
❝I apologise-- I probably look like a fool.❞
❝—I will, defeat you.❞
He says directly to the sheer face of a cliff-- right before he trips over an unfortunately placed rock.
❝—Ow.❞

kisses shoulder ; nuzzles the nape of his neck.
She is warm behind him-- and as much as he enjoys the rare trace of affectionate contactand as much as he appreciates her presence (and perhaps even their developing bond)the Hero of Time isn't quite sure how to react.
He has never been given a kiss before he has never been cuddled before, either. The most he has ever done is hold childish hands with Saria and it'd never been something as warm as this--
So instead of embarrassment, and instead of allowing himself to fluster; he settles for shock. Because should they really have grown this close? Was it alright? Was it allowed?
❝—Princess?❞
saberedge:
"Not sure where you left me, Hope." She musters softly, holding an eased, militant stance as she comes to a stop in the middle of the lessening crowd. There were things in this terrain she did not know of so precisely and it provoked an unusual discontentment————normally, she had no issues upon traveling to a foreign town. Perhaps the weight of knowing the earth was facing it’s end in only a few days fed the pressure in being tasked with assembling as many souls as she could before that demise swallowed them whole. The anxiety that had first gone missing upon her awakening seemed to take subtle jabs at the curve of her ribs as it breathed new life. (She wonders if she’ll ever know the true extent of emotional pain again. God had stripped her of everything——what was left?) "Start small, Light." The soldier hears her comrade commute from the loftiness of the Ark. So, she began to cleave each possible person she could approach from the crowd. Expression dim, she stood out like a sore thumb compared to the residents of this grimly colored town (her garb didn’t exactly scream military, it was something divine). "I’m running out of options, Hope. There aren’t many people here to begin with.” Frustration weds itself in the resonance of her once monotonous voice, shuffling her feet in a complete circle, issuing a quick exhale. "Maybe I should just go back to Luxerion and start from——….” "Light? You there? What is it?" Nautical blues fixate on the man clad in green, sheltered by the shadows with what looked like a spark of light sitting idly near his shoulder. He seized her attention, and the apprehensive front he had only drew her in closer. "I think I’ve found our start, Hope." A satisfied half-smirk split an ivory veneer, tuning out the consistent questioning Hope shouted over their receivers as she approached the outsider————slowly, smoothly, as to not alarm him. "Hey, kid. You from around here?"
For as long as he'd been within the discomforting cradle of this place not once had a single being uttered a word to him, perhaps to Link's own fortune. Unsure he even wanted to converse with people who were so clearly different than himself or his ethereal companion (Their ears, he thought. Their ears are round.), the Hylian had been rather content in remaining momentarily unseen and somewhat safe behind the wall he'd deemed adequate shelter. Yet apparently it was not a safe place to hide at all as a near monotonous call eased his way via yet another unrecognisable face.
And perhaps it was no surprise that Navi would immediately dart into her own hiding place, of which was the innards of the long cap he donned.
Sufficiently left alone to deal with the unknown woman (who incidentally wore even stranger garments than the others of this realm), Link instantly straightened from his slightly reclined posture against the wall he stood beside; previously lowered ears perked in attention and gaze understandably weary.
Maybe---- maybe this would be fine.
After all, perhaps the Master Sword was all the comfort he needed; especially since the womans own weapon was instantly noted by attentive azures.
❝—I'm not.❞
Link couldn't help but wonder if his nervousness was audible within the careful tenor of his voice.
❝I'm a traveller.
But-- please leave me be.
I mean no harm to this place, I assure you.❞
He did not wish to risk a battle of any sort-- not when he was in such a disadvantage as this.
He was just a boy. A boy with purpose. He could not die here. He could not fail his task--- not when it still hung in the balance.
It had only been a few hours since the last mandatory check in at the Ark (Hope filling her in on the details of what they were looking for next, offering the souls she had preserved through out the day to Yggdrasil), and yet, in the shelter of her conscious there was still a blank veneer——something was still missing. Resentment for the God that continued to pull at her strings like a pawn in his game of chess initiates the heat that seethes beneath her flesh and threatens to awaken a terrible madness, but she harbors it quietly and does what she’s told despite it——if only for the sake of her sister’s return. The savior with the sunken eyes steps off the train as it arrives in the new town. A day devoted to rallying up as many souls as she could before Hope beckoned her back to the walls of the Ark. There is nothing more that she needs to accomplish until death (God is just as much at fault as the entity of destruction) to their world lurks closer, devouring each hour selfishly. "Tch." She hums, initiating one step after the other to carry her toward the entryway of the station, observant of the foreign town as she determines where to begin.
The town was an awfully lonesome one.
And how he'd managed to find himself there was a rather dominant question; battering about his head whilst long ears remained notably attentive, well aware that his current appearance was so out of the norm that strangers eyes would automatically flicker towards him the moment he passed.
He was a stranger in a strange world, and Link knew well to be weary.
Thus; it was only a matter of time before he found a wall to huddle himself against; a smear of stark emerald still vibrant against the dusty bricks that valiantly attempted to hide from prying eyes and lingering gazes. Nervous and visibly so, only the comfort of his sword and shield and the pestering whispers of a fae at his ears served to keep him concentrated; lad searching for anything familiar-- a way out, a sign of welcome, a friendly face.
A comrade.
But none was to be found, and the fairy boy couldn't help but shudder minutely under the weight of wrongness the area seemed to seep from every crevice. A lingering sense of dread that was awfully reminiscent to the darkness that'd stained his own world, yet nonetheless noticeably different.
If anything; he did not want to be corrupted.
If anything; he did not want to remain in a world that he did not belong.
❝—I fear this will not end well, Navi.❞
And oh how his guardian fae agreed; no matter what her contradicting words suggested.
❝I cannot fight against an enemy that I cannot see.❞
She had a feeling he would have made mention of that—or something similar, but his hesitance would not deter her in wanting to spend time with him. “Well, to put your mind at ease, there really are no flowers in bloom yet and the buds are durable enough to withstand some resistance. I think you would do just fine.”
❝They are strong, hm?❞
Ah; then-- perhaps her words did their duty in easing his concerns, at least to some amount. (And in truth, maybe spending time with someone other than himself and his wayward fae would prove to be a refreshing experience.)
❝I'll be happy to, then.❞
grishildr:
“—You should know by now that the blessed goddess does not require currency as an offering.” The offering was in good nature but unnecessary. “Perhaps you would like to join me in making floral wreaths?”
Unfortunately all he had was rupees and weapons-- but flowers?
He wasn't quite sure he had the hands gentle enough for such a thing.
❝I'd be honoured, but-- I'd be nervous to bruise them.❞
“We are in the process of celebrating the turn of seasons—your patron goddess, as a matter of fact. Have you come to leave a gift for Farore?”
❝Ah-- Your Highness!❞
So that explained the previously unknown business this era seemed to claim.
❝Oh; lets see-- um. I have... rupees?❞
But such an unexpected gift would surely prove itself unworthy of a festival as grandeur as this.
