WHO'S JUST GOT TICKETS TO SEE THE KHEMJIRA BOYS IN EUROPE?
YEP. ME.
I think the ending of Burnout Syndrome is the best ending they could have given us. It would have felt weird if they gave a proper happy ending, but this ending is more like an open ending.
Yes, Koh and Jira are back together, but nothing is said about if they will make it in the long run or not. One thing is sure, they share a deep bond made of all the needs they have for each other, their big differences of how they see life and the slight toxicity of their relationship that still make them crave each other. This ending lets you decide what is their future. They don't try to tell you what is right or wrong. I would also say that's the conclusion they reached also with art and capitalism. After all, Jira and Koh are the personification of these two different things and their relationship could be a symbol of how art is shaped under capitalism.
In my view, this is a really interesting story with imperfect characters. It lets you decide how you want to view it and that highlights some reflection of how art interacts with the market and reflects societal changes.
Grandma Si had some stuff, so I borrowed a few. Also, there was a banana grove on the way, so I cut some more.
KENG HARIT as PEEM PHARAN and NAMPING NAPATSAKORN as KHEMJIRA CHANDRAPISUT episode 5 of KHEMJIRA
Will you dance with me?
Starring Keita Machida, Ryoma Takeuchi 10DANCE (2025) Directed by Keishi Otomo
Do we all remember Khem's sheer joy during their first time together?
Here I am to introduce you all to Pharan's pure bliss during their second (*coughs* first *coughs*) time.
HE IS SO FREAKING HAPPY.
+ BONUS
AND THE SCENE ENDS WITH KHEM'S GENTLE SMILE, COMPLETELY BLISSED OUT.
*cries in poetry in motion*
All hail Pharan, the king of consent.
EXHIBIT A
Is something the matter? So... I haven't started my training yet. Whatever I couldn't do back when I was a Shaman, I can do it now. Wanna stay in my room tonight?
EXHIBIT B
Do you really want to do this, or are you just trying to please me? I really want it. Then we'll go all the way this time, okay?
EXHIBIT C
CONSENT. IS. SEXY.
My Roman Empire: Khem's gentle smiles for Pharan.
You know what hits me like a ton of bricks about Khem and Pharan's story?
Khem has lived under the shadow of the curse all his life. He lost his mom to it and then his dad decided to 'leave' him too, thinking that entering monkhood will help his son somehow. He'd been on his own until Jet became his friend. He had resigned to wait for the worst and don't expect for anything good because it would never happen to him.
But then he meets Pharan and for the first time in his cursed life, he hopes for the best.
Pharan has suffered the loss of his mom, the neglect of his dad, the guilty conscience of his grandfather. He is bound to his powers, whether he wants them or not.
But when Khem appears, for the first time in his life, he chooses for himself to follow his heart.
And just the morning after they shared this inmense happiness and were able to express their love physically after so much pain, loss and sadness...
... everything is ripped away from them.
The cruelest thing you can do to a person is give them a glimpse of hope, a moment of extreme joy, and, just right after, smash it away in front of their eyes.
For you wouldn't suffer for what you have lost if you had never had it in the first place.
Evolution of Pharan and Khem's relationship one hug at a time.
Hold me if you want, let your tears fall if they must, but never forget that I'm not Pawat and that you're not Khemmika. The past is in the past. Right now, we are just two people who have met by chance.
Please don't worry, master. Phi (...) call me Phi.
I have no one left, Khem. Please stay with me. Phi, I'm sorry.
Trust me Khem, no matter what happens, we`ll find our way back to each other.
Don't give up just yet, Khem. I'll take you back.
Love that the whole tag is just straight up saying Saenkaew’s dad needs to die…
and Saenkaew should kill him
lol They keep that boy wearing white all the time. He's stubborn about not giving into this heteronormative presumption, but let's not forget that he got on that boat. I don't think it would feel right for his character to do something that violent.
It's something I keep thinking about, because I'm expecting some kind of redemption for Kamfah, and I don't know what they would do after having him order Kamsu to hire a person to shoot Sasin. It also feels pointed that they had Kamsu hire someone rather than commit the act itself. It feels like there's some sort of point about the distancing from the act itself playing out here.
@bengiyo Friend I rewatched the trailer for the series and at some point that old jerk is going to have a gun pointed at Sasin and Saenkaew is going to be threatening to kill himself if Sasin gets shot again. How are they even going to figure out a digestible or even plausible way to redeem that person? If they go the redeeming route it would leave the absolute worst taste in viewers mouths. A hateful man like that doesn't just have a change of heart.
I think if Saenkaew won't kill him (because you're right he won't) and Sasin won't do it. Then that leaves Kalong, or I think Kamsu might rebel, or his old ass is just going to drop dead! I'm rooting for Kalong to win just so that man won't get what he wants in any capacity.
Honestly, the show has given me little reason to root against Kalong at all, and I am with you that he feels like a release valve for the plot if they write themselves into a corner. I don't think Kamfah is redeemable for me at this point, and so I hope the show doesn't try to rush something on us at the end. I hope Kalong comes in like this uber driver.
HIGHKEY! I've been like is he even the enemy??? Also that man is a snack! So if he wanna commit a lil murder then it's alright by me especially if that person is the target.
*barges in shouting* Saenkaew's dad is getting Thian's mom's ending in "Khun Chai: To Sir with love"!!! *runs off*
(fyi "Love in the moonlight" is written by the same scriptwriting team of "Khun Chai", "Laws of Attraction", "Century of Love" and "The Wicked Game" 😉)
OMG OMG EVERYBODY CALM DOWN, WE HAVE AUDIO!!!!!!!
Taking this with a grain of salt because Thai fans are trying their best guessing the words and the director hasn't confirmed anything yet, but Pharan seems to be saying something along the lines of :
"If the day comes that we're ready, we will go all the way together".
I'm ok, I'm FINE, I CAN DO THIS, I JUST ... *faints*

EDITED TO ADD:
AND
*stares into the void head in hands*
Khem's been softly smiling every single time Pharan has let his guard down and his love for Khem has poured out of him through words or actions. That sweet smile that shows that, in spite of Pharan's efforts to control himself, Khem knows his feelings are requited.
The moment Peem lets his guard down and reassures him that doing things for love can't be a bad thing, Khem dares to ask what he has been trying to achieve since he met Peem.
Can I just help make you happy?
And this scene is precious for many reasons, but the one that tugs my strings is Khem's sheer joy throughout all of it.
He is happy because he is making Peem happy and that candid smile is what makes everything they are going through worth it.
+ BONUS :
Whatever Peem was telling Khem that made him look like that and answer back on the 6th gif, we honour you.
PS: I cannot end this post without declaring my everlasting respect and love for the writers of the show that decided to acknowledge that a love scene DOESN'T HAVE TO include full intercourse to be SENSUAL, EMOTIONAL AND WHOLESOME. My cheers and praises are for them and the actors who did a terrific job.
*CLAPS AND BOWS*
Describe Charn and Jet's dynamic with one gif:
That's it. That's their relationship. And it is so endearingly beautiful.

I love this pair so much, they were so good together, but it makes sense because they had signed only for two shows, and both are veteran actors with very busy personal lives. It's natural they won't commit to stay as a pair if their shows don't get enough hype.
Thank you for the shows and the memories ❤️
Tada's little gesture everytime he feels flustered because of Armin.
