#yeah this kinda happens throughout the novel too #but Sun just has moments where he does stuff that leaves people hanging #and he doesn’t even realize #obviously the only sexual encounter was with Jay #but it’s his ability to just show up #be so interesting #act indifferent #and then continue on with life #he doesn’t see how much he attracts people #anyways yeah I get Jay #as a man who has people around him constantly wanting things from him #Sun was the most wild and unique encounter #payback the series

Sun couldn't cry despite drowning in grief and guilt. He wanted to feel pain that's why he ends up with a stranger almost as an act of self-dëstruction and emotional numbness. Jay is someone who is emotionally detached and rarely feels genuine empathy. He finds this moment profoundly unfamiliar. Seeing someone cry so honestly affects him in a way he doesn't understand. Sun evokes something in him for the first time in his life.

Finished the Payback novel; and this is gonna sound cheesy. But I truly believe this is a story of someone(Sun) who started off seeking revenge; and ended up finding redemption/new life through the people he meets along the way, I love it.

#the show is like 80-90% the same btw ya’ll #so really I’m excited to see the rest of his journey on screen #I love that the narrative never says Sun is ‘wrong’ to want payback #what was done to him and his family is awful #no matter what part he played in it #he didn’t deserve that #but it’s that this journey becomes way more than payback #it’s love (not just romantic)#and his journey with depression/guilt/no will to live #turning his circumstances around #without even fully meaning to in some ways #but just in the fact that at his core he does have a good heart #he does deserve good things #and he does deserve forgiveness #because he faced his wrongdoings straightforward #he saught out revenge and came out with redemption #redemption he truly believes #anyways #violence is the answer sometimes ✌️#payback the series #payback #payback spoilers

The biggest suspension of disbelief required by the audience in Miraculous is us all agreeing to not mention or think to hard about the fact that there is no freaking way Marinette Dupain Cheng wouldn't have realized that Adrien is chat noir yet.

She has eyes on that boy nearly 24/7. I don't care if she's ladybug and thus is often busy when he's transformed, we know they solo patrol, and also he talks to Plagg between fights and such. You honestly think that Marinette, who knows his entire schedule years out, who has stolen his phone at least once, who absolutely can, and probably has, breached Agreste manors security to watch him through his window, hasn't seen him transform or at least talk to Plagg at least once?

At the very least she has to believe he has a secret of some kind. Or an imaginary friend. Or something. Like, Mari is on this boy 24/7.

I am desperatly ravenous for an AU where Mari discovers Adrien is Chat, but then before she can tell him, gets violently reminded of how much Chat hates dissapointing her, and that "failing" her by not being able to keep his idnetity secret would devastate him. Also if Fu finds out then he can't be Chat anymore and she now knows this is his only escape from his dads control. So she just.... desperately pretends she doesn't know.

Only ladybug totally starts flirting back, and poor kitty is not prepared for that shit.
