Split Family

My mom voted for Ted Cruz. My dad voted for Donald Trump. Our house is split. My mom voted based on religion, and my dad voted for who he thinks will pull our country out of debt. 

My parents are both strict, conservative Christians, which is the reason I’m not out to them. They think that if a president does not meet all their standards, they are not fit to be in office. I honestly could care less who wins, as long as they respect my personal beliefs. You can call me a liberal, but I DO believe things need to change. We need to stop hating on gays, and other minorities at that, and just move on with our lives. America was made to accept everyone, no matter who you are or what you believe.
