Some years ago, there was a meme going around that was based on a children’s book called “I want my hat back”. 

 The meme consinsted in drawing different characters searching for something dear to them in a storybook setting. 

 I randomly remembered it today.

I am pleased to be the voice of reason, haha. I don't know, I just find the drama of it all so... bleh. We should all just enjoy ourselves and have a good time with the Fandom.

Hold on, wait a minute -

Are people actually at odds about the Netflix!ASOUE and the Movie!ASOUE?

I explored the tag here on Tumblr and see a lot of people talking shit about the movie now that the Netflix series is out. (With a couple of people showing love for the movie as well, and this really cool idea of a 6 siblings AU with both the movie and book Baudelaire children.)

Now, just keeping it really, I haven't read the book series so all of the talks of the show being more accurate? I don't really care, haha. I grew up with the movie and then watched the Netflix version when it came out and I honestly find both to be amazing and different and overall FUN in their own ways. You can prefer one over the other and that's all good! Bring on the jokes and memes! But, please don't ACTUALLY get angry with each other about it or make someone feel shitty just because they like the movie more.

I know I'm late with this post (like I am with most things, hehe) but I don't know, I rewatched the movie today and I enjoyed it and had a good time. Then, I checked Tumblr and it's just a shame to see such hate for it. Oh well, I doubt this post is gonna change anything. I just wanted to tell everyone to be kind and respect each other's differing opinions.

Now, we can all go back to hating the Percy Jackson movies and minding our own business.

ahem, I just finished The Umbrella Academy. Loved it all, it was bomb. would have more to say but I made this thing on Twitter and... just know that this show is my fucking life. also, ahem...

I actually like Luther. he was a little soldier boy for his father and thought he was doing good things only to find out his dad was like, 'lol loser' for really no reason. he has fucked up, yes. all of the characters have, that's what makes them interesting. Klaus has fucked up too, okay? and Klaus is my soulmate. sooooooo, can we chill on the Luther hate, please and thank you? oh, and if yall are really mad about him interrupting the sisterly moment at the show in the final episode chiiillll. if you're mad he had a hand in the apocalypse then sure but that's pretty much all he did.

now, in season 2 I want everyone to learn from their mistakes and be better siblings to each other so that they can prevent Vanya from feeling neglected and hopefully all work on their own issues and actually be there for each other.

I want happiness for EVERY character. not just Ben, Klaus, and 5.

ahem, I am also just finishing this series at 3 in the morning so I'm very rant-y tonight. anywho, PSA over.

Uhhhhh...

why are people saying that ozpin has taken over Oscar and is pretending? that... makes no sense.

1. something that important wouldn't happen off screen and so all of a sudden, I feel.

2. I know everyone wants to make ozpin the bad guy and Yada Yada but we all know logically that ozpin would never.

3. Oscar has some unresolved shit he has to deal with so even though the mutual merge is slowly happening, it's not complete.

4. we haven't spoken to actual Oz in a few chapters and that will need to happen first.

5. he isn't talking different! and if you really want to say he is, that can easily be explained as him taking on some of oz's mannerisms in speaking.

6. look at how he looked at ruby! he was giving heart eyes as fuck

7. yes, he dressed differently but it still has that color flare of Oscar with some of the warmer tones and a flare of ozpin with the cooler tones.

Finishing:

no, ozpin isn't the boogeyman who chose to possess the small farm boi and is trying to take over his body. this is supposed to be a MERGE, not a takeover. they will both become one person and will take characteristics from each other. that's literally the whole idea. so, no, ozpin isn't masquerading as Oscar because that literally makes no sense.

Feels for RWBY

Okay, after watching Chapter 3 of the newest volume, I just feels so bad for Oz. Like, that back story is honestly tragic and I understand why he didn't want to tell it. This is his life, this is his past, this isn't some deep dark secret that makes him some evil person. He's just a hurt man trying to fix things the best he can and not wanting all his business and personal trauma out there like... Come on, guys. And from the screen shots I've seen from Chapter 4, the other member of RWBY and Qrow get pissed at Ozpin like... What? Did we all see the same back story? Like, how? And that punch from Qrow? Wtf? First of all, can everybody calm the fuck down and talk shit out? Also, Qrow, you're punching a smol boi. Holy shit. And I don't blame Ozpin for going silent and leaving. He just got assaulted, had one of his dear friends say that they regret meeting him, and have the team he has known and cared about basically shun him for, to me at least, stupid reasons. Now, could they be a upset? Oh yes, they can. But, that's why you discuss this kind of shit instead of just hopping on the hate train for Oz. I'm particularly mad at Yang and Qrow for their reactions. But, I'm gonna stay calm and just know that I expect some apologies and hugs all around because Ozpin and Oscar are my babies and they deserve better.
