i feel so grounded and at peace and strong after this weekend.
honestly this weekend seriously showed me that there are people at northwestern that will listen to me and care for me and not force me to act or speak a certain way
my heart is so full and i feel so much more significant than i did before

For real, STOP blaming third party voters and those who chose to abstain from participating in a corrupt political system for Trump’s win. Most of these people (despite popular rhetoric) were poor people of color who validly felt disenfranchised! If you place any blame on the results of this election on anyone besides the shitheads who ACTUALLY VOTED for this burnt cheeto, you are a profound douchebag who really has just exposed that you only care about marginalized communities when they can be used as a tool to bolster your own selfish neoliberal agenda.
i would really encourage anyone who is capable to start getting involved with IRL activist work over the next four years. i know that’s not something everyone can do, especially due to concerns of safety or ability, but if it’s something you can do, as someone with a lot of experience w that stuff we literally always need more people and that’s going to be especially true in this coming shitstorm. like hit up ur local anti racist organizations or planned parenthood or shelters or crisis lines. they need people.
