but eddie insists because "it's just two hockey dudes falling in love right? i can handle romance"

then eddie goes through every emotion imaginable during those 6 episodes

during the show they ask each remaining contestant who they want to win for. the other contestants talk about their families and friends, as anyone would expect, and it's a very emotional time

now, the other contestants still don't really know how they feel about buck. they don't respect him as a competitor, but they appreciate his presence on the show

but when he talks about how he doesn't care if he wins, he just cares that he's doing it at all and he's doing it for bobby. he talks about everything and how it effected him

and not only does it make the contestants view him a bit differently, but the rest of the 118 watching at home too

okay i am honestly very new to this fandom, i only just watched 911 and am in season 2 of lone star

so is there anything i should know? i'm really curious about ships and stuff, i only really know buddie (i used to see edits of them and thought their names were opposite, fun fact)

anyway i noticed that a lot of people ship may and ravi? but i really want to hear about literally anything fandom related for 911 lol

Okay I'm also pretty new😭 but I got very hyperfixated so I've got info!!!! If you haven't finished 911 there are some spoliers but!!

Ships: (all non canon (ish))

Buddie: buck/Eddie as you know and I also had their names switched before I watched it💀 might be a canon event

Bummy/tevan: buck/tommy of you're finished with 911 you've meet tommy... they've broke up but people still ship them

Mayravi?: Idk their ship name but it's may/Ravi obv, I don't really know where this on came from tbh😭

Chimbob: chimney/bobby especially in season one

Firefilm: bobby/brad(from hotshots) I think this is mainly crack but

Panikart: cart cop/Ravi this came from us going insane after season 8

Ravi/Albert?: They have a ship name I just can't remember it💀 but it's Ravi/albert (chims brother) I wasn't in the fandom for the making of this so I have no clue where it came from😭

Buck/Ravi: stems mainly from season 8 and 9 because people think "eddie is just being mean to buck and ravis comforting him" which I have my own thoughts on... But I'm going to stay netural rn

Bobby/hot priest: this one is 100% crack but it's amazing imo they also throw brad in there sometimes

Eddie/josh: this comes from when they worked at dispatch together

you guys know those characters from [show] react to [show] things

well i feel like if the characters of 911 could see the show they would maybe treat buck with less...judgement? i'm not sure if that's the right word

they act like buck is this helpless little boy, not to be taken seriously and it would probably change if they saw it that way

one of the challenges is to create a dessert that somehow represents who the contestant is

everyone, both on the show and the viewers, expect buck to do something related to firefighting. a cake that looks like an engine or maybe flame cutout cookies. nothing like that is interesting enough to help him advance into the next round though

but buck has a hard time really coming up with an idea that he feels represents him. he's spent his entire life trying to figure that out, it's not like it'll just come to him on a baking show

so, in order to make literally anything, he panics and makes eddie's favorite dessert. he doesn't even necessarily think about it, just starts moving until he realizes that what he's made is the same thing that eddie tried and said he loved

911 but buck and eddie go onto that squid game: the challenge show together because they characteristically were like "these guys are total wimps we could definitely win that. we're firefighters"

anyway they go in together but try to keep it a secret from the other contestants...they don't really succeed for that long

when eddie made buck christopher's legal guardian if he were to die, he also made buck an emergency contact at christopher's school

so when eddie isn't available for a parent/teacher meeting, buck goes in his place. chris' teacher calls eddie for a follow up and says, "christopher's dad was such a joy to meet with, everything went smoothly."

eddie is like "...i'm christopher's dad." and the teacher says "yeah...his other dad?"

during a challenge on the baking show, someone else's kitchen seems to be working against them: their oven won't get to temp, their mixer is broken, etc.

they begin to panic because there's no way they can get anything done within the time frame and they're going to lose

but then buck tells them that they can work in his kitchen alongside him, even though they're competing against one another. he says it'll be a fun extra challenge

buck wins really, really good tickets to the short n sweet tour on accident and takes maddie with him. he very much enjoys the show and how fun it is, and then gets arrested for juno and becomes a true fan

buck is the kind of guy to wake up in the morning with the decision that he's not gonna talk to anyone all day unless he really needs to, because they're making him feel bad about himself

but the minute he sees his team (especially eddie) he forgets his attempt to be petty and yaps about whatever he wants to share

during the intros for the contestants, buck introduces himself as:

- buck, from los angeles

- an la firefighter

- a baker of about one year

and the other contestants are kinda judgy about him, giving him mean girl side eye and snickering about how easy it'll be to compete against him

meanwhile he's just so excited to be doing something new that he appears even less likely to be tough competition. it isn't until the second or third challenge that the other contestants are like oh shit...this guy is giving us a run for our money

9-1-1 but buck takes a leave from the 118 to participate in a baking competition show and the other contestants are like "wow get a load of this guy, some himbo firefighter who only started baking like a year ago"

but then buck performs really well for a few reasons: bobby's voice in the back of his mind guiding him, his ability to work well under pressure, and his desire to prove himself

and of course, buck wins the show
