So far this evening, you took your make out session with Bucky very seriously; light moans, soft pants, low groans from both of you as his lips trailed over your neck and collarbone, nipping and sucking the bruised area, leaving behind rather obvious hickies for your friends to see tomorrow.
His lips and tongue continue their slow journey down between the valley of your breasts and above your belly button. He presses kisses to your hips, moving his body down the bed until his face is hidden somewhere between your legs.
You feel his soft lips trail the sensitive skin on your inner thighs, again, nipping and sucking any bits of skin his teeth can grip.
"Bucky..." You purr, your back arching just slightly when his warm breath fans over your clothed core.
Everything up until this point was serious, until your mind zooms in on the feeling of his beard tickling the skin on your thighs. Bucky is expecting more moans from your pretty lips, he wasn't expecting a lot of giggles to come tumbling out.
"Doll?" He asks amused, still continuing to trail your thighs.
"Buck!" You giggle, attempting to close your legs but his large frame restricts your movement. "It tickles!" You start to squirm, even attempting to angle your body from his face.
Bucky clicks his tongue and huffs, crawling back up towards you with amusement evident on his hairy face.
"You're a real mood killer y'know? How many times have I been down there with my beard?" His tone is light and teasing.
You giggle, curling your arms around his shoulders.
"I can't help being ticklish." You defended, his lips pecking yours as he shifts his hips between your legs. "Sorry."

The rich sound of the piano drifts up the steps to your bedroom as you slowly wake. Your arm reaches out and slides over the sheets next to you, finding them empty but still warm. TJâs smell lingers on the pillow and you take a deep inhale before stretching and throwing your legs over the edge of the bed. You find his button down and drape it over your shoulders.
Securing only the top two buttons you quietly walk down the steps, stopping at the first landing to watch him. His long fingers skillfully glide over the ivory keys as a familiar melody echoes through the empty house. TJâs plump lips are pressed together in concentration and heâs naked other than his boxer briefs. You love to watch him play and find yourself entranced by the movement of his hands and the gentle sway of his head.
âWhy donât you come sit, love?â He looks up, his blue eyes sparkling and his lips turning up in a smirk as you come down the rest of the steps. âNice shirt.â He shifts over on the bench to make room and you slide on next to him. âThanks.â Â Resting your head on his shoulder you close your eyes and let the music flow over you, TJâs warm body a comfort you will never tire of. âCan you play my favorite TJ?â His lips brush over your hair in a soft kiss, âanything for you, baby.â

âIâm sure he likes Y/N.â you heard Wanda say in the kitchen. You shook your head, silently agreeing with her as you eavesdropped on their conversation from around the corner. âHeâs always looking at her with those puppy eyes.â She added. Nervously, you brought your thumb nail up to your lip, eager to see what else they would say when they didnât know you were around. âSomething seems off with him though, heâs always gone on weekends and some evenings he doesnât get back until 4AM.âÂ
That was a good point - it was also something you realized. During your sleepless nights, you would often patrol the long hallway on his floor and some nights sneak in when you needed comfort after a nightmare to find his bed cold and empty. It was definitely weird since he would appear the next morning and act like he had been here the entire night.Â
What was he hiding?
âMaybe he has a girlfriend.â Sam joked, which caused your breath to hitch in your throat at the thought. You really liked Bucky a whole lot and the thought of him with someone else wasnât sitting too well with you. âHmmm, possibly!â Clintâs agreement gnawed at your chest, like something inside of you was desperate to break free. âI mean, the guy hasnât had sex in centuries and I know heâs interested in this stuff.â Sam added and as much as you hated to admit it, this whole topic was bothering you.Â
They were wrong, you were sure of it. They had to be wrong, Bucky is single and there is no way he would keep this from you, right? You shook your head and quietly retreated from the room and headed straight to the elevator. You punched the button, acting as if it would call down the elevator any quicker, which it didnât and at this point, it might have been a better option to take the stairs. Once it finally did decide to do as it was told, you stepped inside and again, punched the number to Buckyâs floor a couple of times.Â
The elevator dinged, announcing the arrival to the floor and the doors slid open. You marched down to Buckyâs room with a final plan in motion, determination on your face to prove your teammates wrong. When you neared his door, it was slightly ajar and he was inside.
âYeah, I canât wait eitherâŚâ he chuckled to someone, it sounded as if he was talking on the phone, probably to Steve? Maybe that was it, he couldnât wait for the next mission. With that reason accepted in your mind, you knocked on his door. âUhh I gotta go, Iâll call you later okay? Yeah me too, love you too, bye!âÂ

âCome in!â He called, putting his cellphone on his nightstand. He was folding up his clean laundry when you stepped in his tidy room, which youâve only just realized has a lot more furniture in it now.Â
âBucky, hi.â you spoke meekly but still determined to prove your teammates wrong about their theories.Â
âHey doll, you okay?â He flashed you his million dollar smile and you swore you could have melted right into a puddle in the middle of his room.
âYes, Iâm great! I was wondering if you maybe wanted to grab some dinner tonight? I have no plans soâŚâ you chuckled but looked at him hopefully. You watched his eyebrows furrow and his fingers scratching the back of his neck - something he did if he was nervous or thinking.Â
This definitely wasnât a good sign.
âUh, tonight I canât. I actually have some plans.â he smiled regrettably.Â
âOh? With Steve?âÂ
âUh yeah, with Steve, look...â your heart dropped into your stomach because you knew Steve was actually on a mission, he left yesterday morning and wasnât due back until next week. âY/N?â Bucky snapped his fingers in your face to gain your attention.Â
âWhat?â Bucky stepped back by your sudden outburst, truthfully you were just tired of the secrets. He was clearly hiding something, or someone, and then lying to your face like your feelings didnât even matter. Even if he didnât reciprocate your feelings or crush, he was still your friend and friends donât lie.Â
âI said-â
âDid I do something wrong Buck? You know, if you didnât want to spend time with me just say so, you donât need to lie to me.â you scoffed, cutting him off mid sentence.Â
âY/N, Iâm not lying.âÂ
âYes you are. You and I both know Steve is away on a mission until next week⌠unless youâre hiding a clone in your closet. I want to know whatâs going on! If you donât want to be friends anymore, fine, just tell me!â Regret and a lot of other emotions flashed across his features as he took in each word you said.Â
âYouâre right, Iâm so sorry doll. Look, I have to get something off my chest.â Bucky started to pace the room as he prepared himself for the bombshell he was about to drop on you. He of course knew from the beginning about your crush on him and he thought it was cute, that you were cute but his heart belonged to someone else and even if he was single, he wouldnât want to risk fucking it up with you.
âOh god, please Bucky. I hope itâs your shirt, please let it be your shirt.â He cracked a small smile but it quickly dropped.Â
âI uhm..Iâm actually with someone and I have been for the past few years.â Bucky watched your face contour from confusion to hurt and he wondered if he made the right decision in telling you this.Â
âWhat? I donât understand this. Why didnât you tell me instead of making me look like an idiot each time I asked you out? Or did you just enjoy rejecting me?âÂ
âI definitely did not enjoy rejecting you doll itâs just, this job, the team, it was too dangerous and I was scared of losing my one fucking friend that I can rely on the most that it never occurred to me to tell you.âÂ
âThis⌠youâre lying Bucky. Youâre single! You have to be!â Fat tears rolled down your cheeks as hurt consumed you, hurt because your best friend couldnât trust you enough to confide in you. âYouâre lying because if you had told me at the beginning I would have understood and itâs too long⌠there is no way you could have kept her hidden for all these years.âÂ
âIâm not lying Y/N and Iâm not single. Sheâs actually on the team.âÂ
Oh dear god⌠you prayed someone, anyone, would just come and punch your heart out of your chest.Â
âWho is it.â Your question came out more as a demand than a question itself. Bucky took a step towards you, and you took one step back creating as much distance as possible. You were right, if Bucky had told you in the beginning you might have understood but now heâs sure to lose one of his closest friends.Â
âIt doesnât matter Y/N.â He said, âJust please donât treat me any differently, I still want and need you as a friend, donât let this change that please.â
âIs it Wanda?â You asked, ignoring his pleas. He shook his head no and dropped his gaze to his carpet and you prodded more. âNatasha?â His eyes immediately flicked to yours and you had your answer.Â
These two, under the same roof. And Natasha was on the mission with Steve. They hid their relationship really well and it even fooled you. Your breath hitched, a hard lump forming in your throat that was difficult to swallow back down. You had to get out of here, away from bucky, away from this compound.Â

âThanks for your friendship.â You said quickly before getting the hell out of there. The moment you stepped out of his room, the air became less restricted. But the second you closed the door behind you, tears and emotions overtook your senses and you felt angry and ashamed.

Everything that surrounded you burned new holes in your head. The pots clanging in the kitchen forced you to retreat back to your bedroom and bury yourself under four layers of blankets and pillows. But even under all that, you could still hear the distinctive arguing between Tony and Steve down the hall.
It was madness. Living in the compound surrounded by your team meant there was never a day that didn't go by where they wouldn't make some kind of noise with no consideration to anyone else. Anyone else meaning you, since you were currently dying from an horrific migraine attack that effected your vision and made your head spin.
Just as things seemed to quieten down, a shroud knock bounced off your door, it felt like someone was banging pots and pans right above you.
Releasing a low groan and hoping the person on the other side would go away, they instead entered and you heard their footsteps approach.
"Doll?" Bucky's voice cut through you like a knife cutting through cake. You cringed at how loud he sounded. "Hey you under here?" He asked lifting up the fortress of blankets.
"Bucky!" You whimpered as the light burned your irises. Bucky quickly understood what was going on, and without hurting you any further, he walked away and left your room for a few minutes to get some medication. He came back and set the medication on your nightstand and walked towards your curtains and closed them, your room immediately engulfed in sheer darkness. He toed off his boots and removed his clothes except for his boxers and climbed under the duvet with you.
You didn't ask questions, knowing his intentions were good. Instead you snuggled in closer but he stopped you, instead he handed you an ice cold bottle of water and some pills and told you to take them.
Once the pills were down he smiled, putting the water back on your nightstand and laying down, tempting you to rest your head on his warm chest as he held you close, your eyes closed and soon enough sleep came for you, his steady heartbeat lulled you to sleep as his grip on your body tightened, protecting you as you slept.

âCome on, doll, punch it like you mean it,â Bucky urges, standing on the other side of the bag with a determined look. Setting your stance and pulling back you land a string of solid punches that has Bucky yelling with pride. âThere she is! Nice work! Keep that up and no one will be messinâ with yaâ!â Letting out a deep breath you grab your water bottle and take a long drink. âThanks Buck, youâre the best.â
The two of you have been training together since you started with the avengers and it was clear you had fallen for the super soldier. He seemed to reciprocate your feelings, always flirting but very much a gentleman. Â You loved training with him because he pushed you both physically and mentally and never made you feel like you couldnât handle whatever he threw at you.
âWhat are we gonna work on next?â you ask while the two of you wipe down and clean up the equipment. âIâm thinking we might want to take it to the ground, you know work on some techniques in case you get taken down at any point.â Nodding excitedly, you try to hide your blush at the thought of rolling around on the floor with him. âSounds great!â
Once everything is cleaned you head out together. A few agents are coming in as you two are leaving and just as youâre about to say hi you stop dead and place your finger under your nose, trying to stifle a sneeze. It only works for a second and then the sneeze overtakes you. You cover your mouth and squeeze your legs, saying âexcuse me.â
Bucky smiles your way with a âbless you,â but quickly turns away when he hears the snickers of the other agents. You can feel the tears start to blur your vision and you try to hold it together. âOh no, did you wet your pants again!â one of them says snidely, narrowing his eyes. âOh god, we better get out of here before she pees on the floor,â the second one remarks, giving you a dirty look.
Before you have a chance to defend yourself you hear Buckyâs low growl and his heavy footsteps as he stalks toward the two of them. âWhat they fuck did you just say to her?â he seethes, his metal finger pointing at the first guy. He backs himself up into the wall with his hands up, looking like he might pee his pants himself.
âUhhh, nothing, nothing. I was talking to her,â he says, pointing to his friend. He turns his deadly glare her way, âI hear you say something too. Stop lying to my face.â The two of them are now shoulder to shoulder and wide eyed. Youâre watching the whole thing and both falling more in love with him but also wanting to run and hide.
âBucky, itâs ok. They arenât worth it. Come on.â He ignores you for the moment, getting in their faces, âI swear, if I ever hear you say another word to her that isnât something nice youâll be off his team and youâll have to deal with me. No one speaks to her that way.â They shake their heads up and down mumbling apologies over and over as they back away. âSorry, so sorry, we didnât mean it. We promise it wonât happen again.â
Bucky takes a step toward them and they run half up the steps. âIt better not, or else!â They run off and Bucky turns to you, immediately softening as soon as he sees your face and the fat tears rolling down your cheeks. âOh doll, come here.â He holds out his arms as he walks toward you, wrapping you up tight when you meet his chest. âItâs ok. They are assholes. Iâm sorry they said that to you.â
He continues rubbing your back soothingly and gently rocking back and forth until you calm down. When you can finally speak you look up into his eyes, âthank you. Iâm just so ashamed.â He smooths the hair from your face and brushes his fingers over your jaw. âNothing to be ashamed about beautiful, it happens!!! Actually, I have a really funny story thatâs kind of similar, if youâre up for a laugh.â Finding your smile once again you say, âIâd love to hear it.â Â He takes your hand as you walk together up the steps and out of the gym.
âSo, one-time Steve and I were on this double date at the diner. We had just finished eating and Steve and I were really having a good time teasing each other and telling old stories. Well, Steve really got me going with one and I was laughing so hard I let out a loud fart. And I donât mean the kind you can cover up. It was bad. Needless to say, we never saw those girls again and Iâm pretty sure Steve brings it up the story any chance he gets.â
Youâre just staring at Bucky and he starts to get nervous, his smile turning down into a frown. âI know itâs not exactly the same and no one made fun of me for it except Steve, but I just thought it would make you smile. Our bodies do this kind of stuff, itâs totally normal.â Heâs talking a mile a minute and really getting panicked. You hold it back as long as you can but finally let out the loudest cackle, clutching your stomach and bending over.
âOh my god! I would have LOVED to see that.â You try to stop laughing but the second you do and look at him you start all over again. When you finally get ahold of yourself Bucky has a devious grin and you suddenly feel like youâre in big trouble. âOh, so you do think itâs funny huh. Just wanted to see me sweat?â he croons, lifting his hands and inching closer. âIâm glad I could make you laugh.â
Without another word his fingers are at your sides and heâs tickling you mercilessly. âI love making you laugh,â he says, dropping you to the floor carefully while continuing his tickle assault. âBucky, please,â you say between fits of giggles, âyouâre squishing me.â
He relents and pulls his hands away and you quickly realize the position youâre in. âHi,â you breathe out, his face now inches from yours. âHey,â he says back, smiling soft before his eyes dip to your lips. His own meet yours in a soft kiss, tentative at first but when a moan leaves the back of your throat, he loses control and deepens it.
When you pull away for air, youâre both panting heavily. âWow. Iâm so glad we didnât practice ground techniques yet. Now I can keep you here for a while.â This time you chase his lips and kiss him hard, grabbing hold of his hair and combing your fingers through it. âI donât mind at all, but I have to admit, Iâm really looking forward to the training, especially if weâre going to be in positions like this a lot.â
