Me when the car of clowns appeared
“That’s how gay men flirt.”
It was written by a straight woman.
PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP!
The finale has me irrationally angry at Chris. I know and understand he is a child and it was traumatic to see Kim, but he’s also 13 not 5. When Eddie went through his PTSD arc they had Chris ask if he was the one who made him sad and Eddie assured him he wasn’t. This episode they had Chris act in a manner designed to inflict the most pain and sadness on his dad. He called up his grandparents rather than buck or his aunt who live nearby knowing his Eddie’s relationship with them. He asks to leave Los Angeles, his friends, his girlfriend(s) to go stay in EL PASO with grandparents who constantly shit on his dad and deceased mother? Then to have Eddie’s parents not be like cool down before we do something we can’t take back they do the opposite and encourage Chris to flee his problems?
Maybe it’s my need to defend and protect Eddie at all costs, even with he makes bad decisions, but he acted the way he did out of grief. Chris and his parents seem to be acting out spite.
Also, Buck should have hugged Eddie. Eddie is always doing that thing where he kinda hugs himself; he is yearning for affection. Will no one offer this man some physical comfort.
Tim if you are here with us I want you to know if we have to watch one more episode written by that woman you’re going to lose your fanbase bud!
I know I tagged Buddie in this but honestly it’s not even a Buddie thing! She’s just not a good writer! Please for the love of god pick someone else!
Tim if you are here with us I want you to know if we have to watch one more episode written by that woman you’re going to lose your fanbase bud!
Lmao I’m on such a different vibe than like the rest of yall?? Daddy kink?? Jokes during emotional vulnerability?? Huh? That! THAT IS WHAT YALL PICKED OUT FROM THIS EPISODE?!? I mean it was boring yes but that?? We picking THAT TO HAVE DISCOURSE OVER?
Eddie lost his son?? Henren lost their daughter who was then shuffled to Madney?? And we been knew Tommy’s writing was shaky af!! Like the man changes personality every time we see him so the writers can fit him where they want!!
This episode had that Kristen lady’s greasy little hand prints all over it. Of course there’s going to be gross af, weird af, sexual af lines around Buck. That lady’s been trying to bang that fictional man since season 4??? Like c’mon now!
We got other things to worry about!!!
Can we also talk about how fucking disgusting Eddie’s parents are. Like I actually hate them lmao. Their son nearly died a few years ago, he’s given up so much to raise his son in stability, does every single thing he can for that kid and the SECOND they have a fight (which yes wow what a thing to cause the fight) his parents are on a plane and ready to remove Chris from his father.
They’ve been waiting for Eddie to do something, anything so they can get Chris. As I said wow what a thing to cause a fight yes but jfc most sane grandparents would be like ‘Ik your mad at your dad rn and you want time away so we’re staying here a few days and helping your work this out as much as long but running away is not the answer’ ESPECIALLY since they shit all over Eddie for ‘running away’ during Shannon’s pregnancy but no! Not these psychopaths. They’ve literally been waiting on their own sons downfall to snatch their grandson away and play second chance mommy and daddy with him because Eddie was right his dad was never around and he’s trying to use Christopher as a second chance son. Smh.
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if a plot point of next season is they launch a legal campaign to sever Eddie’s rights to his son. Which would fall into the ‘Eddie feels isolated’ thing they keep telling us is going to happen in S8. Like imagine Eddie has to keep taking time off to do home visits, deal with lawyers/cps and try to keep legal custody of his son all while Captain Ahole is manning the helm and making work life toxic and stressful.
I say this about the buddie vs buck/tommy beef as respectfully as I can.
I understand having your ride-or-die ships and being genuinely disappointed when they don't happen. These complex characters and their relationships are easy to get very invested in and it wouldn't be a successful series if it couldn't get the viewers fully engrossed in the story.
However.
The level of vitriol regarding these relationships and the fans that support them is getting a bit intense. People are truly being nasty to complete strangers (including the actors in this scenario). Interactions between characters are being blown out of proportion, and always seeing negative or angry content takes the fun out of being a part of a fandom and connecting with others.
If you cannot engage in online discourse in a respectful and healthy manner, and I say this with love, you need to take a step back.
Friends. Not to alarm anyone but I do think Eddie is going to pull a Buck during the shotting era and just stop caring about his own safety.
People who are saying now that Eddie is not a nester after what he did
Maybe they forget about the fact that Eddie never nested with women
Especially with Shanon
He just did it with Buck from the first day
And this scene is the actually proof of it:
@elvensorceress sorry this is a side blog so I can’t reply. But you got me there bud! They did Hen’s shitty storyline in s1 and then instead of using Taylor’s toxic behavior as the reason for ending the relationship they used a shit plot device and made Buck do a toxic thing right back to her. It’s also over played! But I also feel like the coping out with a brain tumor is both lazy writing and a lazy way to explain a flaw in a damaged character and I’m so tired of it. Like we can’t just keep excusing bad behavior’s because ‘oh no he’s dying now!’ Both Buck and Hen had to come clean and repent/get their consequences but it feels like if they go down this route literally everyone would just forgive Eddie because ‘oh he had a brain tumor’ when now it could be ‘he was dealing with a lot and made a bad choice and he should be apologetic about that choice!’ Live and learn and repent.
I also think if they go down the tbi route it could lead to Buck questioning if Eddie’s feelings for him are genuine if/when Buddie does become a thing, like there’d always be the shadow of the doubt in Buck’s mind that Eddie’s brain has been altered and therefore his love for Buck could be the result for that. Leaves room for other characters (Eddie’s parents for example) to leave doubt in Buck’s mind about his intentions, how they’re perceived and how Eddie’s feelings could be misplaced due to a tbi. Which could lead to a temporary break up for them and I’m not here for the potential of more drama surrounding them lol not to mention my ability to suspend my belief in the apparently god like abilities of the 911 universe’s health care workers is becoming thin!
Lmao someone tell me why everyone is team brain tumor and not just team ‘this man is finally reaching his fucking breaking point and we’re all just here for the end result’
Like let’s ignore how a brain tumor/impalement has already happened twice in this show under a different show runner so a third time ???? And how honestly that literally could end his entire career as firefighter! And refocus on how everything leading up to this shit show has been other characters telling Eddie he was wrong for picking Shannon, then wrong for not picking her, then wrong for being alone, then wrong for trying too hard to not be alone, and then wrong for picking someone he knew so little about it triggered his church ptsd!
He doesn’t have a brain tumor, he’s just finally cresting the peak of heteronormativity mountain and it’s going to be a straight drop downwards
And even if that downward drop doesn’t end in Buddie I’m pretty sure it’s going to end in Eddie realizing he can be enough for his kid and has created a great family to surround them!
You know that episode in Friends where all six friends are in Monica and Rachel’s apartment and someone knocks and they all just stare at each other, counting because who else do they know!!!???
That’s what I think of whenever I remember the 118 has friends and relationships outside of the 118 bubble!! Lmao like I just saw the cheers moment at Chim’s party and I like ‘who tf are all of these people???’ Then I remembered ‘well duh!’ Chimney has to have friends OUTSIDE the current members of the 118 A shift!!!! He’s been a firefighter for years and has lived in LA his entire life! He knows other people lmao!
I KNEW THAT FUCKER DIDNT KNOW THAT MANY PEOPLE!!!
This won’t happen but imagine instead of homophobia the Buckley parents struggling to accept their bi poly son!
Just they’re avoiding Buck and Buck’s like :( no we JUST GOT GOOD ‘just love me for me!!’
‘We’re trying Evan! We’re trying but this is so hard! It’s not natural!’
‘Natural!? It’s love! Me and Tommy, we’re in love!’
‘Oh yes! You and Tommy and Eddie and who else Evan! Who else is in your giant hive relationship!?!’
And Buck’s just like ???? Huh???? E D D I E??
bobby said you need to be gay for the greater good of los angeles
