He doesn't really pay attention to you at first. Like okay. Cool. Some weird squishy thing everyone loves. Lame. He's just going to ignore you. Thinks your a pet more than a person. Yadayada on to his next destructive thing.
But than the weird squishy thing began talking to him when he was around. Began trying to get to know him and asking him questions about his life and what he did in the colony. They weren't scared of him and despite his best efforts you continued to seek him out at events when he was alone. He was defensive at first pushing you off and ignoring you but you kept coming back.
You were patient, kind, and soft. Something he and many others in the colony were not used to. Something others but he himself couldn't really understand. A puzzle of sorts. He thought you a manipulator or a lair but the more you gently pushed the more he began to give. Soon enough like a parasite he couldn't get rid of, your presense was deamed tolerable but annoying at times.
However, it was very clear he held some kind of affection for you. You carefully talked him out fights and to the shock of everyone he listened. You got him to talk to Rung more openly and be nicer to Cyclonus and Tailgate. You slowly eased him back into his love of clocks and clockmaking. It took time but he made trinkets and things he loved and he became less angry. He was still a mess and he had his anger issues and insatiable need for violence but he also had you.
He acts like he despises you when he's around others but it's very clear he adores you and would fight for your honor. In secret he'll give you nuzzles like the other bugs and likes holding you close for body warmth. Its a couple months later when he leaves a little clock outside your room in the Hive that's when you know you've become his true friend.
( A little later Tailgate excitedly talks about how your clock matches his and Cyclonuses and Cyclonus notes Rung had a new one in his office. You'd keep Whirls secret but it made you smile knowing he had some people he truly cared for )
Hi, would the stranded reader help rachet in medbay? Who trusts the reader from day one and who gradually starts to trust them over time? who still distrusts them? Gracias!!!
Reader would help Ratchet in the Medbay. Ratchet being a doctor even if he's not a human doctor would be the most likely to look after your physcial needs. After all your on a different planet and their not sure how it'll affect you yet. The rest of the Hive is welcome to visit and take you somewhere else of course or show you around/hang out with you but you spend a lot of free time in the Medbay where the doctor can keep an eye on you.
Ultra Magnus and Megatron are a bit apprehensive but you've shown your more or less harmless so they trust you to work in the Medbay and handle medical care as long as another more qualified doctor is present. Ratchet has shown you the basics and you've taken to it like a moth to flame so the medical team vouches for you to stay when the Medbay is overrun.
FirstAid especially enjoys your help as he has a bit of a crush. Ambulon tries not to let his feelings show as your both working together but he defiently watches you as you work. Not because he thinks you need help or can't do it yourself but because he's not so subtly staring.
Some bugs (Tailgate, Pipes, Swerve, Whirl, Rodimus, FortMax, sometimes Drift) even start to get minor wounds like scratches or sprains so they can spend more time with you. They shyly explain how they got hurt as you tend to them and they clearly relish in your attention and soft touches as you work. Their mates or friends are often there as moral support and it becomes a hangout session.
Rodimus likes to make a show out of his fake injuries. He brags about his latest adventure as he fake limps into the Medbay hoping you'll be his personal doctor. Ratchet often intercepts this warning the hive leader the Medbay isn't a place for courting. He will give a good smack to any unruly bugs bothering you and push them out of his workspace if their being distracting. You can leave with them if you want just please keep this tomfoolery/courting out of his medicbay.
Other insects like Atomizer or RedAlert are a bit worried to let you work on them. For Red Alert its because your not a bugformer and he's a bit scared of you depsite the fact your very non threatening. For Atomizer and some others they dislike your presense in the Hive. Thankfully Getaway silences their worries. (The bug occasionally goes into the Medbay with intentional wounds as well hoping to get a kiss to make an imaginary/small injury better)
Other hives are fine with your presense if you visit and enjoy the extra help if someone gets injured. Optimus and Elita find you charming and have given you permission to go into their territory for whatever you may need. Starscream also finds you fascinating and let's you wander into his space as long as you follow his rules. His trine mates often pester you for attention but otherwise the moths know how to take care of themselves. If someone doesn't want your help they'll simply state it and you'll back off expecting their wishes.

I hope that you are doing okay!!! If you are still accepting headcanons here is this: other bugformers use rodimus as a nightlight or flashlight in power outages and etc. Rodimus would love it at first then gen generally annoyed pretty quick. Lol!! Have a good day and great summer!!!

Bugformers do know what fire is! They are still an advanced race of beings despite being bug like. They have forges for armor and weaponary, electricity for lighting, they use iron stoves to cook meals, and many other advancements technology wise.
I imagine their planet is a lot like Cybertron but instead of being mechanical it's like a giant jungle. Most of the planet is a lush greenland but there are parts that are more ragged like snowy mountains and harsh desserts. The landscaping changes depending where you are but most of the planet is green.

Ooh reading your post made me curious. How would the bugs react to makeup? Poppin eyeshadow, glittery highlighter, even a nice shade of lipstick? Mating instincts? Courting? Bugs confused, but intrigued. Is the squishy looking for a mate? Trying to attract someone?
Colors ATTRACT bugs.
The buformers are all over you when they see your wearing makeup but everyone has differnef reasons.
Some are getting close to ask how you did it. Some are reaching out touching your face and fancy clothes. Some are very aroused and embarrassed so the hang back but still watch you. Others are very aroused and not shy that they are aroused.
Whirl straight up asks if you wanna fuck. If your down to fuck he will fuck you. He asked first so he gets first dibs. Ultra Magnus who is aroused and embarrassed shyly explains why everyone's acting weird and how colors are treated differently in bug culture than human culture. Colors can be very lude when added to armor or in your case your face as color is used to attract mates.

Some bugs species have some seriously weird mating rituals, does that carry over to the bugformers as well? (And does that include the more... traumatic/aggressive ones?)
When bugs have eggs during mating season their more irritable. I believe the bugformers are advanced enough that their very intimate with each other during sex or mating season and wouldn't hurt each other too badly. Their civilized and smart enough not to eat each other like some bugs do (pray mantises, some spiders, some beetles)
That being said they also have that animal side too them. Scratching or biting to mark their territory is very common. Depending on the bugs personality will depend on how deep they scratch bite or mark their partner.
I feel Moths, Beetles, and Butterflies would beat their wings a lot during mating/sex. The more their wings are beating/twitching the more pleassure their feeling. Beetles will flap their wings especially loud to show how good they feel.
Ants and Bees of any kind are very gentle during mating. Because their hive minds and are used to serving a queen if they have sex with you it will be very gentle and soft. They're focused in serving you and pleasuring YOU. Even if their partner asked they would refuse to touch them.
Wasps however are not aftaid of stinging or hurting their partners. They'll bite and claw to mark their mate as THERE'S.
Pray Mantises are very rough. Their instincts kind of kick in and they scratch bite and pin down their mates. They can be the most intense bug to mate with.
Mosqitos ticks and spiders would probably be into biting and drinking some of their partners blood. Autobugs wouldn't drink too much but cons are more animalistic and tend to have more primal urges so it's not uncommon for them to drink more than they need too.
Spiders probably also web up their mates. Catch them then lay in them.
