sometimes I think about that one post I saw in the Silksong tag a while back that was like "can we talk about how it's 2026 and the female protagonist of the biggest indie game on the market is running around in a pink dress making annoying high-pitched noises, like can't we do better than this by now". like whoa there dude let's maybe re-examine that sentiment before posting.

@themyscrian sent me an image from Afropunk 2017 of a handsome man with this loc style, and suddenly... inspiration! Thank you for the hairstyle idea! My idea was of Hornet- who I pictured as a pre-teen girl that bites- in white warpaint. Can you imagine a little girl looking like this pulling up to beat your ass? Iconic.

I also pictured- which is funny because I only got to the Sasuke Retrieval arc before I got too annoyed to finish- Bug Guy from Naruto. Shino. Severely underutilized character.

ALL RISE AND APPLAUD THE GOAT!

I admit that Hollow Knight grew on me as a game; Mr. CBC played it while I watched, and my favorite was lil Mx. Peanut de'Ghost saving the world at 3 apples tall. It was supposed to be adorable, and I ended up drawing the coolest fam I've ever seen 🤣 Still sick bout the three endings we got so far. There has to be a winning one 😭

It's also a partner piece to the Hornet piece I did for the #CBC DTIYS (y'all should check out that hashtag, it's like the MBC but we focus on particular characters!)
