What had olive green landed on ?? Only the fairest dame Mahiru has seen all morning !! Though she had only just transferred, everyone was photogenic, even ( some ) of the boys. Certainly better than her grimy old school !! Before she realized it, her legs moved towards the person of interest.

there’s nothing fake about nagito’s willingness to die, but he doesn’t see it as a problem. no one could possibly wish to befriend someone like him, especially not now that they’ve all written him off as crazy … & even if he wasn’t begging for death, so what? he’s going to die soon anyways, so it doesn’t matter what he does now as far as his safety is concerned. ( although … despite his pessimism, all he’s ever wanted is to be cared about. no one’s done that before. he’s going to die alone. )

❝ it sounds like you think i have an ulterior motive. ❞ he seems surprised, to say the least, that fuyuhiko is allowing him to stay at all — frankly, his suspicion is more expected. ❝ i just wanted to check in on you. is there anything you need? ❞ nagito asks, tilting his head slightly. he’s not trying to overstep ( even if he is terribly unaware of other people’s boundaries, ) but nagito obviously sees himself as lesser & believes that fuyuhiko feels the same. who’s better suited than him to help out, even if the yakuza doesn’t wish to kill him?

Of course I would think so, Who just willingly visits me ?? Fuyuhiko thought bitterly. He slapped himself in the face, which would seem odd to anyone not in his head. He doesn’t care. No sore loser thoughts. He said to himself firmly. No sore loser thoughts.

How far does “sore loser thoughts” extend ?? It means no more grieving. He’s Yakuza heir material, no one taught him how to grieve because death happens every second. You don’t know who you would lose.

eyebrows quirked up as shuichi trailed off and turned around. maybe he had been wrong about the detective being smart. if shuichi suspected him to be the killer then turning his back was a bad idea. he watched him quietly, then nodded when he spoke again.

“ooooh so you have managed to do some investigating?? i’m surprised since you’ve had that meathead following you around.” really, kokichi was surprised that kaito wasn’t lurking around.

“duh. i have an alibi, silly.” he hummed, the smile never faltering. “you wanna share anything else you’ve found out??”

‘ Momota? He went away after I told him a damsel was in distress. ’ He didn’t use those exact words, but they convey the meaning well enough. Shuichi felt bad about lying to him, but he wasn’t particularly fond of his “partner-in-crime”’s ways of questioning. It could be taken as a test instead of a lie, and he failed.

‘ As for what I’ve found . . . I have reasons to suspect Tojo as the killer. ’ It doesn’t mean squat if he doesn’t figure out how. The window was open and had a mark . . . Kirumi may have used that somehow. ‘ She doesn’t have an alibi and she was taking out the black fabric I saw earlier out of the pool . . . It looks exactly like her glove. ’
