Bumblebee Week is coming! All throughout the second week of August (August 7-14) we're dedicating our love to the sunshine Autobot Bee!

We're dropping helpful prompts through the upcoming week (starting from July 22), day by day, and compiling all of them in one neat package, so you won't miss any of our invitations to join.

Submit art, writing, photography, essays, prompts, collages — virtually anything at all, as long as it's about our sweet little Bumblebee. And remember: you can start at any day, do any prompt, even after the event is over. Ships are welcome too! The key is to have fun!

We'll reblog all your amazing work in a timely manner. Don't forget to tag posts with #bumblebeeweek2023 for convenience!

Bumblebee Week is over, but that doesn't mean the fun has to end!

We decided to extend Bee week to allow everyone to take a shot at any prompt you want, but we'll also release new monthly prompts to try your hand at!

We're still on the lookout for new works, so don't stress about not fitting into the deadline, it was totally unfair of us to make it so tight. Be on the lookout for updates and submit your work whenever it feels right!

Will this account be active after the last day ends? I'm getting through prompts a bit slow and wanna make sure they get seen!

It absolutely will! We were honestly thinking of trying to do monthly prompts as well, so we'll always be about some way 👀 We will definitely keep yas updated.

But please! Feel free to submit whenever, I know our dates were uh.. a little.. close.. to the announcement, that's our mistake. Truly sorry for that. I myself haven't had any time to work on any of my own submissions for many reasons including slow pace. Next time we'll make sure we give ample amount of time for everyone to create!

If you want, you can @ us when you post! I sweep the tags when I can and I know @deadlysoupy has been a real one with getting everyone's work here. We'll be on the look out!

Bumblebee Week 2023 day 10 except I take it literally and make it my downtime and post an EarthSpark Bee I made a few months ago but never posted

I made this by taking the lineart from a BreakBee thing I drew and recoloring it to look like the cover art for YOASOBI's song 'Yoru ni Kakeru' because I'm obsessed with a lot of YOASOBI's music and unfortunately I associate a few of their songs with BreakBee hee hoo (specifically Yoru ni Kakeru, Encore, and Yasashii Suisei).

I am unfortunately very ill for whatever's going on between Breakdown and Bumblebee and I have yet to start watching EarthSpark season 1C since I'm focusing on Bumblebee Week lol

Also here's the original art I used as a reference! The music video is so pretty but I couldn't find a higher quality image for the life of me 😔

Delayed Bumblebee Week day 3: Bad Day, ft. some brothers or something

As mentioned in my last entry for Bumblebee week, Bee was part of a program that spliced Sparks. Bumblebee was one third of a Spark, giving him two brothers and here is one of them: Wasp! The context for this scene is that Bee and his siblings tried to remain as neutral in the war as they could but needed to survive somehow so they became Energon scavengers (think of the Netflix series!). One bad day saw Bumblebee and his brothers trading resources with some Decepticons until a Seeker scouting team found them and attacked. In my fan continuity, the Seekers are a third faction so this didn't end well. Wasp in particular suffered a severe injury to his face which Bee is currently trying to handle by pulling his brother away from the fight. Also I finally remembered Bumblebee's back kibble! Yippeee!!!!

Bumblebee Week Day 4: Secret / Downtime

Bumblebee Week day 2 but late because I was at the beach and tired

More of my fan continuity AU!

Bumblebee was trapped in one of Shockwave's labs for a very long stretch of time (he was stored in a way where he couldn't register time or space) but he had access to the info that was stored there and discovered that he wasn't the only captive. One of Shockwave's highest kept secrets was his experimentations with creating new Transformers from scratch without aid from a relic and he somewhat succeeded with NAVI-ko, who was kept in stasis within the same lab as Bee. When they both broke out Bumblebee became a mentor figure for her and he helps to guide her in learning about Transformers and Cybertron and all that jazz. It's especially meaningful to Bee as he and his brothers were created as the final products of a spark-splicing program (program and group name pending) before it was shut down with the goal being to try and keep up Cybertron's population as less and less Transformers began to be naturally spawned. That's a long ramble but I'll explain it better some other day.
