GAMEMAKERS CONTROL EVERYTHING BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE GAMES (SUMMONING MUTTS, EVENTS, CORNUCOPIA EQUIPMENT, ETC.) THE HUNGER GAMES IS REALITY TV IN PANEM SO THIS IS HOW THE "MAGIC" HAPPENS.
IF A VICTOR IS "SOLD" TO THE CAPITOL, THEY'RE FORCED TO "PLEASE" THE CAPITOL PEOPLE WHO WANT THEM AROUND. IF THEY DECLINE, THEIR FAMILY GETS THE PUNISHMENT OF DEATH.

To be honest if there's one thing I love when people do it's when they TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MONA'S RACIAL AMBIGUITY. Like that pasty tone is not an indicator for SHIT to me, GO WILD. For example their account is deactivated but I remember somebody made her Latina and I SEE IT LOWKEY??? Putting a penny for my thoughts here but in my headcanons for our girl (WHICH ARE VERY COMPLEX BUT THIS IS THE BASICS) are that she, when looking at her family, consists of two more prominent ethnicities (EAST ASIAN AND NATIVE AMERICAN) but has sprinkes of European from distant marriages and cousins centuries before. Of course, because of her upbringing in the orphanage, she never had the chance to know the last part, but she realize the first two by guesswork by her features and old pictures of family in her grandparents'/parents' old house. Of course she could care less about learning more, with her saying "she has better things to do," but she thought it was a nice tidbit to know. Like "Oh I'm mixed? Cool i guess."

one of the best headcanons I’ve ever heard is that Mona is an albino black woman, I really like that idea because it just hits really hard for some reason.
I myself headcanon her being part hispanic (Ecuadorian descent) and part Romanian which is a spin on my own latin/european heritage as I’m Portuguese on my mom’s side and Italian on my father’s.
