Now that the @pensrarepairfest authors have been revealed, I’m excited to share my contribution! The whole collection of great fic can be found here.

Pairing: Brian Dumoulin/Tristan Jarry
Rating: T
Tags: Feral goalies, acts of service, food as a love language
After the game, Tristan is glowing, curls framing his face, red lines across his forehead and cheeks from his mask when he accepts the warrior helmet from Kris. His grin is all teeth, sharp but playful, and the helmet is only on his head for a second. Some of his curls stick out once the helmet is off his head again, as though reaching out for it, and when Tristan runs a hand through his hair, it only gets worse.
Brian watches this from his stall, and he thinks.

If you come to the conclusion that you’re just “projecting your autism” onto your characters please know that I’m tuning into said autism like a beloved radio program.
Haha well I’m glad somebody’s into whatever the hell I’m doing here!
The 2023 Pens Rarepair Fest is OPEN!!!
Thanks so much to everyone who's participated! There's so many great fics in here, and we're so excited to dive in.
The collection authors will be revealed 12pm EST next Saturday 20th May.
Since my diagnosis, every time I go to write I have to constantly stop and ask myself, “Am I having this character do x thing because this is how they actually act, or am I projecting my autism onto them?”
Now I have to stop and think, like. Have I ever actually written anything where the characters were “in character”? Is what I think of as “in character” the total opposite of what others see? Have I just been running myself in circles for years with an incorrect understanding of these characters and who they are?
Do I actually want to write this fanfic or do I just want to wallow in the delicious daydream like a pig in the mud?
someday i will post this fic and then its all over for you fools. i mean not now. or any time soon. but someday it will happen
The upside of a short season is I have more time to write… the downside of a short season is I have more time to write.

thinking "haha what if i jokingly shipped them" is your last chance to get out btw
Hey fic writers, very important question: do you write stories chronologically or scenes at random and piece them together?
in order
out of order
depends (specify in tags)
I have been having this discussion with friends now for months and I'm curious as to what everyone else does.
Sign-ups have closed, and it's time to get writing!
As a reminder, fics are due at 8pm EDT Thursday 11th May. Any concerns, then don't hesitate to drop us an ask. We're so excited to see what everyone produces!

hockeynews.se interview 10/29/2017 (feat. a freshly-showered haggy)
Me: It’s 10 pm, I can’t sleep, and my mind is all over the place. Sounds like the perfect opportunity to write something to wind down.
Also me: No, don’t wanna work on that fic. Nah, that one’s still marinating in my brain. Oop, can’t do that one; I’ve lost the plot. And not that one either…
