this is great bc this mushroom isĀ Cerioporus squamosus, most commonly known as Dryadās Saddle which āderives from the mushroomās shape; its brackets seem to be perfectly sized and positioned to form a little seat for a weary tree nymph (dryad)ā

Nabeshima ware (é島ē¼ Nabeshima-yaki) is a type of Japanese pottery, specifically an unusually high-quality porcelain Arita ware. It was produced in Lord Nabeshima of Saga Domainās kiln at Okawachi.Ā
Production began around 1700, and continued until the late 19th century, with similar wares being produced elsewhere by descendants of the master lineage to the present day.

MILO YOURE A RACEHORSE
just saw this on twitter, be careful folks
So I poked around and apparently this is a problem in all 50 states, especially around summer. Watch out for warm, slow moving water. Shallow water especially cause itās already warmer. If thereās a lot of algae and itās green and stuff, just stay out.
Warm weather and fertilizers and such make this worse, and apparently this is the worst year yet so please keep your pets safe, and yourselves as well!
We had it in a lake here last year and this is what it looks like
A few notes on this, for the doggos:
1. This is a form of bacteria, not algae. It can be blue-green, bright green, or red, and will look like foam, scum, or spilled paint. The dark green algae found at beaches is NOT the same thing and is not toxic. (Highlighted red because we call it blue-green)
2. It is found in shallow, still, bodies of water. It thrives on warm temperatures and fertilizer. So, be particularly careful if there is (as in this picture) a farm next to the lake or pond.
3. YES it is toxic to humans too. However itās not as toxic and there is no known case of anyone dying. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, muscle cramps, twitching, paralysis, cardiac or respiratory difficulty, liver failure, skin irritation, rashes, and gastrointestinal issues. Go to the ER if you feel sick after swimming in a lake.
4. Donāt let your dogs go in water that is cloudy, has algae blooms like that, or if you are at all unsure. If you do let your dogs swim, rinse them off with clean water if possible.
5. Do not use untreated lake water for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth. Boiling water does not helpĀ nor does simple treatment. So, basically just donāt use lake water. Do not let your dogs drink from the lake or fill their bowl from it. Bring water from home for your dog to drink, and offer your dog water before letting them near a lake so they wonāt be thirsty.
6. Not all blooms are toxic. But you should still assume they are.
7. There is no antidote to the toxin. If your dog gets sick after swimming, take them to the vet immediately.
8. The downwind side of the lake is more likely to be affected.
If possible, take your dog to a river to play in the water not a lake.
Hereās an article from Pet Poison Helpline about itĀ https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poison/blue-green-algae/
Oh to be the man in these stock photos...
The only reason Pitbulls are considered bad or dangerous dogs is because of racism and the only reason people are starting to realize theyāre not is because white People are suddenly going āwow this racist stereotype we imposed on a dog typically owned by black people is wrong and we should fight against this without ever acknowledging itās racist roots.ā So yeah pitbulls were never bad dogs and we always knew that, yāall are just racist.
What kind of Dumb bullshit is this. I own pitbulls Iāve always on pitbulls oh and Iām white. I have a pitbull that is a service dogā¦. I just have never seen such a dumb uneducated bulshit leftist shit post

If you actually bothered to do any reading or educate yourself on the topic, you would know that around the 1980s Pitbulls, who had once been what the golden retriever is today, began to be associated with the black community which saw a major shift in how the dogs were viewed by society. They went from being an American classic to a dog that saw heavy breed restrictions and legislation and being feared largely by people because of their association with black communities. This isnāt a secret or even something that isnāt commonly known. You being uneducated about the subject is just your own ignorance. Youāll note Iāve provided articles in case youād like to actually learn about this so youāll be better equipped to engage in this topic next time around.
this is solid. if you love dogs you gotta know this. the better you learn the racial history behind criminalizing pitbulls and the more genuinely you commit yourself to, first-and-foremost, opposing the abuse of other human beings, the better you also protect dogs impacted by the runoff from these heinous viewpoints. you know what DOESNāT help save pitbulls? denying the incredibly insideous reason they were targeted at all - because of fear and hatred of black people - and failing to solve the root issue FIRST. be loud about racism and hatred toward other humans, it poisons everything, and the more time spent focusing only on the bits that reach you personally is more and more lives harmed and prematurely + unjustly ended.
