I love the vertical lines here.

It happens because of how CCDs work, where if they take in too much light it starts spilling over to pixels on the same row.

It’s a completely different phenomenon to the smears and starbursts human eyes get with astigmatism, but it has a similar visual effect. Which is awesome.
