In honor of the second season of the live action One Piece series, a small Luffy. I binge watched it in one day. I think it’s so good. Episode 7 did it for me. I also love how they managed to keep the charm of One Piece.

The relationship luffy has with zoro and sanji is so different but both meaningful in their own way.

Zorro and Luffy are one in the same both understand the role of being pirates, but they also help each other grow to become the best versions of themselves. They both have similar goals in the sense that they both want to be the best of the best. They care for one another but they also can be blunt with each other which shows the closeness they have. Zorro is luffys genuine best friend. It will be cool to see them achieve their goal and how they will do it in the end.

Now sanji and luffy, these two have more of a personal and sweet relationship. That doesn't mean is any more or less than Zorro’s but it is definitely different. It makes sense once you see WCI because everything connects. Luffy and sanji have a lot of parallels when it comes to their life it's genuinely crazy. I think luffy is someone sanji needed in his life. Luffy since the day he met sanji knew he was a kind person, genuine kind people are hard to find and luffy saw the value in that. Sanji has always put others before him but when it came to him, no one gave him the same importance. Luffy did, he makes sanji feel safe for him to be who he is (which for sanji who literally had never had that is so good to see him finally be recognized by someone) I could go on, because their dynamic is so interesting to me but bottom line they get to be who they are with each other UNCONDITIONALLY. Which again is so sweet to see. Also he is luffys cook dammit! Put some respect on my boys name.

Anyway overall I love these three, I am excited to see how they will develop on elbaph. I like seeing them fight but I like it more when they talk and get to see their dynamic more.

My favorite thing about Zoros loyalty to & belief in Luffy is that no one is asking that of him. There’s nothing like a normal knight & king dynamic where it’s more like the knight has to be there because it’s their job but they also are madly devoted to their king if that makes sense? Luffy didn’t make him swear fealty. He just said join my crew & Zoro was like as long as you don’t get in the way of my dream I’ll go anywhere.
