I'm not sure if you've seen Illinoise yet but if you have I hope you loved it !! There were so many highlight moments in the show but one of my favorites was the entirety of Jacksonville (especially the moment that was a duet between the tapper and the girl who was "telling the story'")

and as to the second part of you question, I haven't seen challengers yet, but I am looking forward to seeing it soon!

I cannot describe to you how it feels to go outside of THE PLACE THAT I LIVE and be met with 100s of NYPD officers. I cannot wrap my head around any other reason for Minouche Shafik to allow their presence other than an effort to stifle the free speech of students on a campus that prides itself on a history of student involvement in politics.

Hi, you’re one of the only people I’ve seen posting about Illinoise, and I’m trying to go see it now that it’s on Broadway, but I was wondering if you think I should listen to the album before I see it or if I should go in blind? I’m never sure which to do and I feel like for this show especially it could make or break it. Would love to know your thoughts, thanks!

I really hope you get to see it because it truly is a brilliant show! The show actually isn't in the exact same order as the album, so listening to it isn't totally the same experience. The album is undoubtedly amazing, but hearing the music live is transcendent, so in that regard I would maybe recommend going in blind. Let me know if you end up seeing it, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

the stuff going on at columbia campus rn is genuinely incredible

despite mass arrests by NYPD and several students (including rep ilhan omar’s daughter, isra hirsi) being suspended for their participation and having their university identification deactivated, the gaza solidarity encampment is still going strong well into its second day. def recommend following independent reporter talia jane who is taking part and providing live updates. (talia was the first reporter to break aaron bushnell’s self immolation in february; she was one of the reporters he contacted personally prior to the protest.)

As a Columbia student of color who was there when the riot police made their arrests, today was literally terrifying. We are still out here on the lawns staying strong. Many of my friends were intimidated and jailed. Please follow Columbia’s SJP on Instagram and our CU Apartheid Divest, as there is a petition that we are trying to spread for signatures! Another columbia student here. It makes me so glad to see people sharing what is going on at our campus. Thankfully, my friends who were arrested have been released, but they are still suspended and do not have access to their own dorms. The more they try to silence us the louder we will be.
