I was gonna chill w the advertising lol but since its blackout day and its pride month I’m making another post!! 

My name’s Arthur and I’m a NB black latinx and I love magical girls! I draw a lot and I’m making a magical girl visual novel called Magical Warrior Diamond Heart! 

The story starts off in a far off kingdom called Chalcedonia ruled by a magical princess named Rosalia. One day monsters called Nightmares attacked and destroyed the kingdom.

Princess Rosalia and her fairy knight, Diana hid deep in the castle, praying that their last hope, the magical Rose Crystal Mirror would produce a miracle and save their home, however, they were attacked by the leader of the Nightmare Agency, Druzy. Diana fought helplessly before finding herself transported Earth, but her Princess was no where to be seen. 

You play as Valerie Amaranth, a cheerful 16 y/o black girl with ADHD, who after experiencing a strange dream about the magical princess, transforms into the titular Diamond Heart in order to fight the Nightmare Agency, who are now attacking the Earth as well. Along the way the way she recruits six more allies to fight on her team, and many non-magical hero friends as well.

There are 7 Romanceable characters as of right now:

Sophie an autistic lesbian who loves lizards, frogs, and studying

Clover, a wealthy black trans girl from France with a passion for lolita fashion. 

Chandra, a timid, shy Indian girl who gives off a mysterious, gloomy aura.

Alex, a popular and friendly Mexican boy who loves sports and joking around, 

Ethan, a dorky Jewish trans boy who loves gaming and manga. and 

Liam, A cold, unfriendly genius who’s only friend is Alex

Zacharie, a cheery energetic autistic and ADHD person who adores all things pretty and sparkly

While it is a romance game, the power of friendship is very important >:^) there are two friendship routes with the two fairy guides Diana and Amber.

Hey kids, I know people have been having issues with copying and pasting frames in Clip Paint Studio animation timeline. But I’ve figured it out, at least until they put more time into it! I know @coelasquid was having issues earlier so I spent some time to figure it out.   All the animation frames are tied directly to their layer names.

I’m Still Alive

After six years, I finally quit my retail job. Other than that, I’ve been trying to keep up with doing some art things. But I haven’t been able too because I’ve been feeling stressed most of the time. I also went to Momocon this past year and got a new job, so that’s also good. Actually had someone do this to me too. Was doing a art stream, it took me over 2 hours to do his inked commission, he got a refund cause ‘it took too long’ that he figured I wasn’t going to do it after I gave him the file.

I’ve had this happen to me with a $350 comic :/ I had already finished it, it was full color, 6 panels and had a full bg in every panel. I was lucky in that I didn’t spend him money yet, but it left me without funds. I’ve also had the above happen to me as well.

Don’t do this shit to artists. We’re people too. Drawing for you is more than a hobby. It’s a job.

Use Paypal Invoices. 

I cannot stress this enough. That shit helps A LOT when it comes down to Paypal refunds/disputes. There’s a description box that let’s you put in what the product is/how long it’ll take/yadda yadda, and then there’s another little memo box that only you and paypal can see where you can say it’s a digital commission and doesn’t require shipping (So Donald Mcfuck can’t say that they never got their commission). And there’s also a box for your Terms & Conditions where you can say, if you have any conflicts/want a refund - email me, or you can actually tell the user that this is a digital commission and they won’t be getting a hard copy of it.

ARTISTS. PLEASE USE PAYPAL INVOICES. it will SAVE you. And to: the people who do this to artists – Fuck you. It’s okay if you change your mind and want a refund. But freaking TALK to us and let us know what’s going on. Let us WORK with you.

ALSO A HUGE TIP: Invoices paid will automatically set up a shipping notice which, if not fulfilled, can land you in SERIOUS hot water with PayPal. Since a lot of artists don’t print and ship the commissions, this is a huge problem.

However! Totally manageable. Just go to your PayPal, scroll down to find Seller Preferences

>> Display Ship Button. Make sure all the boxes are unchecked. Then you’re all set!

I’ve been asked a lot about how I do bgs… so I decided to post this and try to explain a bit the steps I use sometimes

Alright so first I have to say that I don’t feel like I’m good at them.. but anyways I do my best. I always start looking up a lot of references, because my memory sucks and I don’t pay attention to details, so I have no idea how things look.

I have like 3 ways of doing bgs, and I use them according to how dominant the bg is on the pic. This one is the most proper one, the others range from fat messy lines to no lines at all.

1.So first step is the sketch… ignore the creepiness of it… I had it a long time waiting on my computer and it was supposed to never see the light.

2. Just lines :/

3.some flat colors, mostly to work out the balance in the scene. I don’t paint them properly, because I think it gives the pic a more organic feel and because colors reflect each other all the time, so who cares

4.rough lighting.

5.here’s a bit of polishing

6.more polishing and details.

7.color lines and more details

8. some things I like to paint over the lines at the end, like glows and some sparkles and more atmosphere and lighting.

TADAH! I’m really bad at explaining, but hopefully seeing the process will help more than my words?

aah and the mirror.. I’ll probably paint it very messily when I add the character and some other details.

ALRIGHT EVERYONE I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO FUCKIN INVOICES SO HERE YOU GO HERE’S THE TUTORIAL

invoices are an easier / safer way to request money from commissioners. all the commissioner has to do is accept to pay the money, so you don’t have to worry about them clicking or typing anything that will get you in trouble with paypal.

STEP 1

under Invoice Information you can choose what date your invoice needs to be paid by. if you don’t have a specified date for your commissioner then make sure to select No Due Date so they don’t get into any trouble for not paying by the default date.

STEP 2

go through your Business Information to make sure it’s only showing what you want it to show. your default template may show your address, phone number, name, etc, but everything is optional and can be turned off. personally i only keep my e-mail visible so commissioners know where the invoice is coming from.

STEP 3

your commissioner’s e-mail goes here

STEP 4

fill out what your commissioner is paying for and how much it costs. double check the Total towards the bottom to make sure you’ve filled out everything correctly. keep item names vague like “commission” or “image” since paypal may freeze your account if they catch any buzzwords they don’t like.

STEP 5

here you can fill out any terms and conditions your commissioner should know about, ie when you accept payment, if you give refunds, etc.

STEP 6

in the Memo box you can write a note for yourself to see when you look at the invoice. you can write down who commissioned you and anything else you’ll need to remind yourself of later

TEMPLATE

remember that you can replace the default template so you can save your business info, terms and conditions, etc for the next time you fill out an invoice.

IF PAYPAL IS ASKING YOU TO “SHIP” YOUR DIGITAL COMMISSION

look under Selling Tools on your home page and click Seller Preferences

click Update next to Shipping Preferences

go to Display Ship Button at the bottom and make sure Goods is un-checked

Yep, you heard it. I’m doing commissions again… Ok I lied, I never really stopped, but decided to revise and update my last post. As you all now, my mother had passed in late December and now my family and I are really in a pickle, both my parents would use their combined money to pay for bills. With mom gone, we’re struggling to pay overdue bills, my water has been shut off along with my phone and who knows what’s going to be shut off next, and I worry rent hasn’t been paid as well. With my current work schedule I won’t be making enough  to pay for the water and the next upcoming bills no time soon. 

Busts:

Sketch: $5 Lineart: $15 Color: $15 Shading: $15 (Adding effects, and/or backgrounds +$10) Adding extra characters +$10

Full body:

Sketch: $10 Lineart: $15 Color: $15 Shading: $30 (Adding effects, and/or background+$10) Adding extra characters +$10

Palettes 

(note: you can send me a color palette of your liking and we can go from there :3 Some examples I’ve drawn as well)

Busts: $15 Fullbody: $25 

Chibi styled drawings will be 5$ for a sketch and $10 for a lineart, coloring along with shading will be $15 per character (both Bust and Fullbody) 

I’ve also decided to draw still life, landscapes and the like, as well. Sketches will be $20. Colored drawings will have to be $40. These drawings are the kind that don’t include people.

I’ll draw any OC from just about any fandom (fandomless OCs too ^w^). If I am drawing your OC please leave me a reference or a physical description of your character and please be clear.

I will also draw in any pose at just about any angle (if you can, send me a pose reference too.)

I cannot/will not draw anything NSFW. Mechs (my only exception would be simpler mechs such as Mazinger and/or Getter Robo), guns, cityscapes, anthros/furries or vehicles (including bicycles)
