I personally think the terms "yu.meship" or calling your f/o a "yu.me" is stupid, and is just similar to back in the 2010s when people would use "husbando" or "waifu" to refer to their f/os, simply because it was a "cute Japanese term". It's giving into the culture of putting a single country on a pedestal, and that's unhealthy.
F/os who might not often say “I love you” but show it in other little ways. Gifting you things you mentioned you wanted in passing, cooking you something after you’ve had a long day, surprising you with flowers or a treat just because it’ll brighten your day. Even just acting the slightest bit softer with you... consider the little ways they might show their care for you .

Welcome Home (Spamton x Reader - No warnings)
You were on the couch, scrolling on your phone as you heard the door open up, slamming shut.
"I'M [Home Alone VHS] HONEY BUNNY!!!"
A smirk broke across your face as you sat up, lifting yourself so he could see you. He let out a cackle and scuttled over to you, hopping up onto the couch with some scrabbling.
"AND HOW WAS MY [Darling precious lovely]S DAY?"
You pressed a kiss to his teeth, making his face go red and a locomotive whistle sfx erupt from him. Happened every time you kissed him when he didn't see it coming, or didn't initiate it. It was stupidly adorable. He leaned into it, tongue flicking across your lips as you leaned back.
"S'better now that you're back from....Whatever the hell you've been doing."
"NOTHING [Wrong, wrong, wrong!] I ASSURE YOU."
Suuuure. Little dude was shady as Hell, all he did was that kinda stuff. But you didn't mind. You kissed his forehead, and Spamton giggled. His legs were kicking.
He sure was adorable for such a broken down little puppet. It took forever for him to trust you to get this close, but now that he did, he couldn't get enough of it. If he was capable, he'd be on you 24/7. Literally on you.
Spamton nuzzled his cheek on yours, then turned to poke your nose with his. His eyes lidded a bit as he let out a huff. You smiled.
"What?"
"YER JUST SO [Cutie Pie]. YANNO THAT?"
"Look who's talking."
Spamton's whole body literally buzzed, physically, from that as he looked around, then put his face in his hands; Then finally in your neck. He was giggling, again. What an absolute goober.
"KEEP [Sweet talk] TO ME LIKE THAT AND YOU'LL GET [More than you can afford!]"
"That's a bad thing?"
You could have sworn he let out a squeal from that last flirty line, and he pushed himself as much into your neck as he could. Good lord.
Spamton pulled back after a minute, face red, hands propping his face up with his elbows on your chest. He was grinning- ...Grinning wider.
"[KISS ME, KISS ME, KISS ME AGAIN]?" His nose poked onto yours. You tilted your head to the side so your lips met his....teeth, his hands reaching up to hold your face. He pulled back and buried his face in your neck.
"LET'S TAKE A [BREAK A LEG]! WHATCHA LOOKIN AT ON YER [Put that damn phone down]?"
You put your arm across his back, hugging him close and showing him your FYP. He snuggled right up, like a little puppy looking for warmth. You smiled. He smiled.
"....WOW, FILTHY."
"What- HEY- IT IS NOT?!"
