While I've only been a fan of the band for a few years, those have been some very formative years, and I cannot thank @butternutt613 enough for helping me secure the far longer-held dream of being able to just attend a concert. I'm beyond thrilled. Gonna cry my grown ass man tears again.
When Corona Malfoy woke up much earlier than should be allowed, thank you very much. Why must classes be so early in the morning? Would the school fall apart if they pushed back their schedule by an hour? Maybe two?
She stretched her arms above her head, letting out a small groan. Her father would be hearing about this.
Her vision was blurry, blurrier than usual, and she didn’t notice the cake at the foot of her bed until she almost stepped on it. Though, calling it “cake” was a generous use of the word.
Corona peered closer, looking at how the cake itself was at an odd angle and frosting was anything but smoothly applied to it. On the top, written in messy cursive, were the words “Happy birthday Covid!”
The Slytherin picked up the note written by the same hand next to it, holding it close to her face so she could read in the dim light.

Your brother made a big deal of his birthday coming up. A bit obnoxious if I’m being honest. Of course, he didn’t mention you, which was just really silly of him. You are twins after all.
Neville helped me bake the cake. I think we did a swell job. :)

You always loved the rain, dancing in the warm summer evenings, curled up next to him under a thick blanket with a piping hot cup of tea. Today should be one of those cozy autumn days. You should be here holding him, kissing him, being with him.
But instead, the rain hammered against the earth, seeping into every crevice and turning the marble headstone wet with the tears of the sky. He stood apart from the others, head bowed in mourning as the mahogany coffin sank gently into the ground. The finality of the act, of the soil falling atop the wood, pressed against his ribs, a void so vast it stole the air from his lungs.
Someone spoke, a priest or maybe a member of your family. He wasn’t sure. The words were meaningless.
What comfort could they possibly offer?
His fingers twitched at his side, aching for something… no, someone that was no longer there. The weight of cold fingers lingered against his palm even now. Fingers that had once so easily fit between his own.
You were gone.
You were gone and he was there.
Standing over the hollowed earth, rooted in the moments you shared, in his final goodbye, the last whispered tender mercies of your love.
The rain would fall, the earth swallowing its offerings and covering what was left.
The world moved on.
And yet he remained. And in the stillness, he whispered to no one.
THE FILTH IS HERE!! Enjoy Garreth giving Sebastian a very special congratulations on their tense Quidditch Match.
“Come on, Sallow,” the redhead called over the roar of the stadium as he snatched up the quaffle again. “I know you can aim better than that.”
Something coiled hot in Sebastian’s stomach. If Weasley wanted a game, he’d have one. His fingers tightened around his wooden bat, knuckles nearly turning white as he tilted his broom into a dive. The air whipped cold against his face, stinging his eyes behind long lashes. Closing the distance with an oncoming Bludger, Sebastian swung his bat with more force than was truly necessary. His arm buzzed on impact, but the Bludger shot towards Garreth like the embroidered cannonball on his chest.
Garreth managed to swerve at the last moment, avoiding being completely knocked off his broom, but the aggressive ball ended up clipping the tail of his McTawny Blaze, sending the man spiraling and the Quaffle tumbling from his hold.
Sebastian’s heart lurched despite himself, but Garreth recovered with grace, leveling out and shooting him a glare that quickly melted into laughter.
Actual, full belly laughter.
This man.
When they came face to face a few moments later, Garreth had his usual grin. Honestly, Sebastian couldn’t stand that smug smirk some days. Other days were a different story. But now, he wanted to wipe that stupid look straight into the gravel beneath them.
“Careful,” Garreth said under his breath as they raced side by side. “ You might bruise me.”
Sebastian hardly spared him a glance. “Wouldn’t dream of it. I’m saving that for after I win.”
Garreth’s eyes flashed hot, his grip on his broom turning ghost white as Sebastian surged ahead, leaving the redhead reeling in his wake. The game continued, goal after goal passed between the two teams, Sebastian lugging Bludgers from one chaser to the next, hardly letting the other Beaters get a hit in. In the end, the payoff was the Cup in his hands and the whoops of his teammates roaring in his ears.......
