“Fine.”
Her teeth are gritted as she speaks, she has no choice but to trust the woman.
“I’m one of those superheroes on the street.”
She takes a sharp breath as she forces herself to stay awake, focusing on something outside.
“But not one of those annoying ones. My sister is Hit-Girl. You know, Kick-Ass’s partner?”
She wants to laugh -- a superhero? That was the best she could come up with?
“Okay.. right. A superhero. And what was a superhero doing with a drug dealer?”
Pulling into the hospital parking lot, she makes a beeline for the emergency doors.
Pain changes people.
(via somedudebro)
“And what if I don’t?”
She’s pressing her hand into side even more now, trying to keep herself awake as best she could. She let out a small laugh at her question.
“Yes. You know you haven’t told me your name. An answer for an answer.”
“You're going to have one hell of a life in juvie.”
Her jaw clenches tightly as the girl laughs, pulling out the dispatch radio in silent response.
“Detective Beckett bringing a 10-45C, stabbing, to Lennox Hill. ETA, 3 minutes.”
She puts away the radio after confirmation, both hands again on the wheel.
“Does that answer your question?”
She’s feeling woozy now, but continues to push it away, letting out a laugh at the others words. She has to raise her voice to answer. She doesn’t know whether or not she can trust the other yet.
“Not really. I don’t wanna end up in jail!”
“I'm sure we can work something out with the DA -- --but only if you cooperate.”
Cars have parted on either side of the road, and she has a straight shot to the hospital. The best thing she could do was keep her foot on the gas and keep the girl next to her talking.
“Do you go to school, Clarissa?”
She’s having a hard time staying awake, but she won’t say anything she refuses to be weak. She was taught to never show hrt weaknesses.
“Some scumbag drug dealer. Wrong place, wrong time I guess.”
She can't afford to look over at the girl at this speed - not unless they both wanted to end up crashed into a median. But she replies nonetheless, voice raised over the siren, both hands curled tightly around the steering wheel.
“So a random drug dealer stabbed you for no reason..whatsoever. D'you wanna try that story again?”
ayay like this for a starterrrr.
❝ ——- saving people actually. ❞ he points back to the wreck a couple of blocks back that he just gone done with.
Her eyes flicker to where he pointed, and immediately she drops her cup of coffee into the trash bin.
“Did you call 911?”
She shouts, taking off at a run toward the accident, not bothering to check if he was following after her - though she assumed he would.
hi guys! just so you know, i've been feeling really up-and-down with my emotions for the last couple days, and there's no possible way i can play kate with that mindset. xD but i'll be back within the next couple days!
[ h o l a m u c h a c h o s ] ,
meg here with a quick little announcement.
so.. yes. finals did end last week. but, the sad thing about college is that it never really ends. my summer courses be gin next monday, may 19th. and, yes, i have been doing f ull-time school since beginning college, but i’ve always fo und myself juggling school, roleplaying, and other real - li fe obligations. suddenly, the other day, i realized that
r e a l l i f e h a s t o c o m e f i r s t.
And no matter how much I wish I could live the lives of my characters, at some point i have to come to the consensus that it simply won’t happen; no matter how many icons I ake, nor how many drafts i get done in a day, it will always be less important than studying or spending quality time with family.
s o.
This is officially my low activity notice for this account. Fro m May 19th thru August 9th, I will be roleplaying selectivel y. I will compile a full list of those I will be interacting with d uring this time and will most likely place it in a drop down t ab on my main page. Do not feel badly if you aren’t one of t hose few individuals. It is severely limited to those that I fee l particularly strong connections with both IC and OOC (plu s, it may grow as time carries on - so don’t be afraid to sh oot me a message or tag me in a starter!).
All in all, I hope you guys have a wonderful summer, and I c an’t wait to be back here full-time after the semester. I’ll mis s each of you every single day. <3

❝ on your right! ❞ he’s gotta’ stop swinging so low. honestly.
Shifting thoughtlessly to the left (thinking a bicyclist or a jogger might be passing by), she glances beside her out of habit.
“What the hell?”
She's brought to full consciousness of exactly who'd passed her - but that wasn't enough to suppress her irritation with him.
“Are you trying to kill someone?”
psa: i unfollow people who i’ve followed for a week and haven’t interacted with. i unfollow people who haven’t been active for a week and have no posted a absence notice. i delete starter posts that have no replies three days after i they’re posted.
She raises her eyebrow as the other shut the door rather hard, her hand pressing into her side quite hard.
“I have this pain disorder thingy majig. I got stabbed. What else is there to say?”
The brunette puts the car in gear and pulls out, rolling up the windows before flipping on the siren.
“Oh, I don't know, maybe who stabbed you? Why?”
Delphine entered the quarters with her coat clutched close to her chest, the inside of her cheek raw by means of her worrisome chewing.
”You are Detective Beckett, oui?”
Having people walk back to her desk wasn't exactly.. customary. Silencing the irritation in her eyes, she set the pen down and folded her arms on the desktop, looking up at the guest with raised eyebrows.
“That's me.”
She decides to lie, using Marcus’s last name, it’s easier to do that.
“I’ve got it. I can’t feel physical pain. Clarissa. Clarissa Williams.”
She shuts the passenger's side door slightly harder than she probably should have - but she can't help it, really. This girl was acting more like a suspect than a victim.
“Right. No physical pain. Clarissa - okay. So're you going to tell me what happened?”
