#the prosecutor's proposal #you know a show is good when im going OKAY BUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT #when chaeha suggest he comes with instead of sulking and trowing a tantrum he gets that look on his face you know the one #eventually he does because he cant stand not knowing what theyre actually doing during their visits #but he sits there the whole time sneering with his arms crossed and waiting for haneul to launch himself at chaeha

It takes some time to process, since we never actually see them onscreen together, but when you put together the context clues of how deeply Tak Seong Ung is obsessed over Oh Ja Hyeon, and realize his ability to appear professional on the surface while being deeply unhinged underneath is so very reflective of Taeseon's general behavior and moral flexibility due to his obsession with Chaeha, and how, in truth, Taeseon really does take after his mentor.

i find it hilarious that Chaeha gets stabbed twice to protect Taeseon but the one time its with a big one it's simply just a scratch and he needs a good nights sleep to walk it off and the other time when it is a baby knife it puts him into critical care.

what im saying is they shouldve given Haneul an awl.

i do feel for haneul, i really do. because going back i don't think his attempts of building a connection with Chaeha were entirely because he was told to.

He seems very lonley and very trapped in this life and when Chaeha first joins the Team he is the one who tells him how to act around Taeseon so he won't get on his bad side. He says Taeseon is not actually that mean, he says he's nice to his staff, Haneul is the one to suggest they take Chaeha out to welcome him, he asks repeatedley where they are, why they leave him out of the loop and looks genuinley hurt whenever he realizes the two want to get rid of him or went out without him. Which makes me think that Haneul had tried before to build a sort of friendship with Taeseon and now takes his chance with Chaeha again. (Jokes on him though cause with him Taeseon is actually dead set on keeping things professional.)

Could it all have been to get better intel and spy on them for his dad? Maybe but the way Haneul talks about his parents on that roof and reacts to his father, i don't think he was actually that interested in doing his dirty work. He was just like Taeseon and Chaeha, a lot more guilty, a lot more murderous, but he was right there with them in the trauma club and maybe was just trying to connect with people he believed could help him.

#the prosecutor's proposal #im thinking too much about this show oh my god someone stop this #once again im asking for more time with these characters #in a 16 episode show we couldve seen entire flashbacks to their romeo and juliet love story #and the way haneul had to grow up #we could've seen more of the twins as well. oh how i wouldve loved to see how taeson was like with them

there is this much, much darker au circling my head where Haneul made Chaeha jump from the roof and Taeseon can't save him. One where Taeseon knows who did it, but can't find any incriminating evidence and has to watch father figure cover the case up and pin it all on Caeha and his murderous father. A world where he spirals and seeks revenge no matter what and thus takes matters into his own hands.

#the prosecutor's proposal #hmmm im rotating it in my head #taeseon deserves to be covered in blood #i cant help but think if this was hour long episodes with like 16 total we could've gotten a little more torture for these characters in #i could have had my lee gilyoung being actually guilty i couldve had taeseon murder someone for chaeha #dont get me wrong i adroe the show as it is but now that its over my thoughts are goin ginto overdrive like ohhhh #what if we do it like this???

next time someone tells Taeseon "Hes the son of your dads murderer!!!", i need him to fake gasp with the widest eyes possible looking between whoever wants to get a raise out of him and Chaeha who just stands there rolling his eyes and then Taeseon puts his sneer on like nice try now let me destroy you.

not them changing the verse during the opening credits in the last episode!!!!!! Not that verse being about being freed from your confines and those who want to tie you down, use you!! Not it being about liberating yourself from your misery and the cruelty of others!!!!!!!!

the sequence of them reenacting kang woosungs murder was peak cinema. it was gorgeous to look at, chilling to see and fucking tragic on top. From Taeseon narrating it all, to Chaeha miming it and ending up covered in blood, to Taeseon - for the first time - allowing Chaeha to voice doubt about his fathers crime without snapping and agreeing he could be innocent (yet again)!!!!
