I wanted to draw again my very first Asra’s artwork (it was traditional then, and I still like it 😊) and gave it a try with digital to practice light and colors palette. You can see here his outfit from before the game (I believe it was his first masquerade outfit design ?), which is the design that made me want to play The Arcana 😆 (so it will always be special to me ^^)

Shared glances and hand holding, he’s more than happy to share in your affections. If you want to touch him then by all means, touch him. 

In fact, his own lips curl deviously when he catches that twinkle in your eye. 

It isn’t till you start singing his praise that his skin flushes a delicious crimson. 

Every word of affirmation, every whispered endearment, seems to send renewed chills down his spine.

And of course, this only seems to encourage your administrations. For with every renewed flush, his skin blossoms beautifully, plump lips drawn between his teeth, violet gaze cast aside. 

He’s beautiful, so beautiful. It’d be a sin not to tell him, tell the world, at every chance presented to you. 

So you do. 

Again, and again, and again. 

Maybe one day he’ll believe you. You’ll tell him every day till he does.

Julian thinks the two of you are subtle. 

You are not. 

Between poorly veiled innuendos, wandering hands, and the stupid grin that slides across the great Doctor’s lips whenever you whisper in his ear, there’s little left to the imagination. 

He had tried so hard to deny himself this pleasure, to keep you at arms length at all times, that now you could be together he savored every moment of it. 

He’s still not used to the flattery, to the way your eyes light up whenever he walks into a room or the way your body naturally gravitates toward him. 

He’s no expert on relationships, just ask your Master about that. But he knows science.

And the way his body reacts to yours? How his skin tingles with a brush of your finger tips or his heart pounds when his gaze meets yours? 

It was undeniable. Irresistible. His scientific truth. 

♕ Nadia ♕

My, my, how devious. 

She has appearances to keep, responsibilities to adhere to, but trust her when she says, she will return the favor later. 

Besides, she’d much rather show you off. 

But if you insist, and so long as everything is kept semi-PG, she’s content to return the gesture. Hold her hand, let your touch linger, it’ll satiate her just enough till she can get you alone. 

There’s something so … tantalizing about the wait. Knowing you want her, here and now, privacy be damned, but not being able to have you. 

It’s enough to drive even the most refined of women mad. 

Your gestures of affection may be entirely innocent, but with every caress, she seems to grow more and more distracted. 

And that simply won’t do. 

Now if you’ll excuse her, she has some private matters to discuss.

She’s very into it. 

Portia’s a giver. So if you shower her with affection, expect it back ten-fold.

She doesn’t shy too easily and she adores being affection with you, so please, give her your love whenever, where ever you are. 

It easily turns into some sort of competition. Oh you think you love her more? Well she loves you the most. No you do? Wrong! She does. No you- 

Portia especially gets affectionate when her darling brother comes around. Ilya gets so red and she gets to kiss you all over. Win-win. 

So hold her hand all you want, kiss her whenever the inclination comes, she’s more than happy to take all of your loving. 

In fact, give her more. She just can’t get enough.

No. Don’t. Please. 

If it’s possible to die from embarrassment, then this might be what kills him. 

He’ll flush so deeply, it’s almost comical. 

Try your darnedest to refrain, for his sake. He’s a firm believer that there’s a time and place for those sorts of things. And in front of everyone isn’t it. 

Don’t mistake his lack of affection for disinterest or displeasure. He enjoys being close with you. In fact, it’s one of his greatest joys in life. He’s just not ready for that yet. 

Save it for the hut. Then you can climb him like a tree all you want. 

Till then, even heavy loaded eye contact might send him into a tizzy, so it might be best to keep it to a minimum. 

He’s working on it, but baby steps.

Lucio is an indulgent man, give him an inch and he’ll take a mile. 

Keep this in mind when showing affection. 

Even the slightest of touches will have him keeling into you, so proceed with caution. 

But if you enjoy giving affection, then good news for you, because Lucio enjoys getting it. 

He’ll never discourage you, social cues be damned. If you’re willing to coddle him then he’ll give in, no questions asked. If others don’t like then they can leave. 

Pull him closer, run your fingers through his hair, tell him again how much you love him. Go on. He needs it. 

With every word of affirmation, he melts further until he’s practically purring, nuzzling into you. 

Funny how quickly the Great Count can come undone with a couple of butterfly kisses and a few words of praise. 

Don’t stop now, he’s just getting comfortable.

How would a sibling-like relationship with the Majn 6 be like, in contrast to a romantic one. Like for instance Asra saying something vaguely infuriating as always and all the apprentice can do is groan loudly.

Asra: you know those younger siblings who accidentally talk too much or incessantly ask questions that you do not have the answers for but they really don't know how to take "I don't know" as an answer and move on to the next obscure thing because when you bring up the Internet™ they don't "wanna"? Yeah that's Asra

Nadia: she's accidentally like her sisters; elegant, wonderful, and knows a lot of things. It's easy to feel like you pale in comparison, but she tries to remain aware of it and ensure that you know she thinks you're cool

Julian: he's Asra, but intensified. He's always telling stupid jokes and asking questions in the middle of the night and showing up at your doorstep in the middle of the night. He's a fun "brother" but sometimes he just goes too far (ie, "bruh I totally killed the count")

Muriel: once you get close to Muriel, I think he's like, really funny. He's the super chill brother but, obviously, he can isolate himself, especially at his worst moments.

Portia: she always has something fun planned for the two of you, always has a joke and a new thing for you two to discover. She's mad into gossip, and will throw off all her plans to chill and spill tea with you

Lucio: a lot of biting snaps, insults used as pet names, and no one can really tell when you're fighting and when you're being affectionate (did you mean: me and my irl brother). He might take things too far, but he doesn't really mean to, and I don't think he's really too fond of pissing you off

Asra

Asra doesn’t mind it all too much. He has known them for too long, and he knows other ways how they show what they feel for him. It matters more to him that they worry about him, or they make sure to greet him properly when he comes home, or sees him off if he goes on a journey. That they make his favorite food from time to time to surprise him, or that they get him something at the market that reminded them of him. It’s all signs that they love him and he returns them just as much, he doesn’t even have the need for them to say it out loud if they don’t want to, and when they do say it, it’s probably much more satisfying than when they’d always say it

Nadia

Nadia also does not care too much for words. While she herself likes giving them presents and compliments, it fulfills her to hear after a long day what her s/o was doing and that they were thinking about her sometimes. She treasures the time spent together and the occasional dates, or the news she’s receiving from their mouth much more. If she wants anything, she can get it herself, but it’s nice when her s/o visits her to bring her a cup of tea or tells her about the new book they read and enjoyed. For her, it’s much more valuable to have that time with her s/o, and she believes too that there’s something romantic about it being just that special moment when they convey their feelings through their words

I love your work and I needed an expert opinion.I'm writing a fanfiction and I wondered how do you think asra, julian,and Muriel reacts to MC getting hurt in a fight or mugging. If that's not too much to ask❤

Asra

First and foremost he wants to make sure MC is okay, he checks them over and he cries a lot, even if they’re not injured particularly badly. He’s terrified of seeing them hurt and it strikes an echo of deep fear in his chest. 

He does that thing when his magic washes over them, so he can assess if they’re hurt and if so how badly. 

If they’re hurt badly he tries to use his magic to heal them immediately, even if its dangerous or if it takes so much out of him that he passes out, he will try it. 

He sends faust to the palace to get anyone that she can to come help him, be it Nadia or Muriel or Julian or his Parents. 

If they’re minorly injured he calms down a little bit and heals them as best he can and starts asking them to describe what happened so they can talk about it. 

He wishes he could keep them safe, but he knows that they all make their own choices and he can’t really stop them and the onus of keeping them safe doesn’t fall on him alone. 

But he does call in a favor or two to the palace in regards to who to keep a look out for in case the person who assaulted MC resurfaces. 

Muriel

Panic Button Activated, like total and complete panic. 

If MC is hurt severely he just holds them, he holds them as tight as he can like he did the petyron. 

By the end of his route I think he’s less likely to freeze and more likely to be able to hold them and try and go for help, carrying them as best he can. He’d likely tuck some sort of protection spell into their hand to help them hold out a little longer. 

He then moves on to the stages of grief even if they’re still alive and going to be fine. If MC is only minorly injured, he jumps directly into this stage. 

First he blames himself, where was he? Why didn’t his protection sachets help them? This is all his fault for letting them get close to him and then he lets them down like this and they get hurt. 

THEN he jumps into a very soft annoyance at MC. Why were they there? Why didn’t they take him with them? Why didn’t they listen to him that somehow this was going to always end with them hurt and him unable to do anything about it? This stage passes more quickly than the first.

THEN he gets his level head about things. He found help if things were severe but if things weren’t too bad, he needs to try to heal them, if he can’t heal them he needs to get Asra or Julian. He needs to remember who hurt them and make sure that MC avoids them at all costs in the future if they’re alone, etc etc. 

Julian

He absolutely HOVERS over them, checking them out in every medical way that he knows

If they’re hurt in any major way he goes full doctor mode, trying to stop the bleeding, trying to figure out if a limb can be re-set, he tries his best to ignore that its MC for the moment while he works on how to keep them alive. 

As soon as they’re even remotely stable or heading towards being stable, he freaks out wholeheartedly. 

Why wasn’t he there to protect them? Was this his fault? Could he have done more? What if they die because of him again? He’s a doctor but he can only do so much, what if its not enough? What if this happens again? What if- 

If they’re hurt only in minor ways (split lip, tooth knocked out, minorly broken bone) he jumps directly into the blaming himself for not being there to help them, etc etc. 

Very likely to take The Old Julian out for a spin and have a rough and bloody conversation with whoever hurt MC if they can remember.

I'm about to go off, so look away now if you don't want to hear my useless ramblings.

So I've seen SO many people talking about how much they hate Asra, and on the one hand (even though I don't understand how anyone could hate him), I really don't care. He's a fictional character, and although I disagree with the people who dislike him, it's not that important in the end. However, I think that a lot of people make snap judgements about his character without taking into account that he has very realistically-written emotional baggage, and although he's fictional, a lot of people in real life deal with some of the things that he does. This has been a long time coming, so without further ado, I present to you my way-too-long Asra rant.

First of all, the thing I see people mentioning the most is Asra's and Julian's super-messed-up relationship. And I agree that Asra was partially to blame - but people neglect to look at Julian's side of the relationship. People characterize him as a victim - he just wanted Asra to love him - but keep in mind that Asra told him repeatedly that he wasn't interested, and Julian kept it up, even going so far as to break into Asra's home multiple times in an attempt to get his attention. They were both emotionally-wrecked by the plague, leading them to make decisions that Asra clearly regretted and Julian did not. Neither of them apologized, both blamed the other, and they decided that they hated each other. Of course Asra was wrong not to talk it through with Julian, but what can you expect from him in the middle of everything he was going through? He was not okay, and people seem to be upset at him for not being self-reflective and mentally healthy during a period when it was nearly impossible for him to be either of those things. That's not exactly an excuse, but it is a reason to feel sympathy for him rather than dismissing him as cold and cruel (and seeing Julian as a victim without thinking about how creepy some of the things he did were).

Second, people complain that he only cares about MC and Muriel and doesn't care about anybody else. And honestly, to me that complaint really doesn't make a lot of sense, because OF COURSE he only cares about MC and Muriel! He was abandoned at a super young age and left to raise himself, and during his formative childhood and adolescent years, MC and Muriel were the only people who showed him love and kindness. The world was cruel to him, so he became unhealthily attached to the two people who weren't. He still has strong morals and a kind personality, but the only people he'd sacrifice himself to protect are MC and Muriel, because they're the only people who would do the same for him.

Also, some people claim that he had no right to resurrect MC and did it for completely selfish reasons. This might be true - he seems to have a lot of regrets regarding that whole event - but a very human reaction to the loss of something precious is a drive to do anything to get it back. People hold him to extremely high standards of self-reflection, and don't take into account how truly broken he was inside (even before he lost MC). It's unfair to expect him to be emotionally healthy considering that he hasn't trained to be that way - being an orphan on the streets, he most likely did not see a therapist. When he lost MC, he wasn't able to work through grief in a healthy way, because as I mentioned before, MC is one of the two people he's completely devoted to. So, instead of using healthy coping strategies, he focused instead on getting MC back, which he knew was the only thing that would stop his pain. Maybe he was wrong to do what he did, but he reacted in an incredibly human way, albeit an unhealthy one, and we can't hold that against him.

My last point here is that Asra is the very definition of cagey. He does not fly his feelings on a flagpole like Julian does. He does it to protect people - usually himself or MC - but just because he seems outwardly to be in control doesn't mean he is. And that's what bothers me about people who dismiss him as a character. It can be dangerous to assume the worst about someone just because they're not emotionally-expressive or deal with something in an unhealthy way, and it's honestly just kind of shitty to base your entire opinion of someone (fictional or not) on a period of their life when they were really struggling and clearly not their best self. That being said, Asra is flawed. If he weren't, he'd be a terrible character. But I love him, and even if you don't, I want everyone to realize that he's written to be completely human and nothing else, and that's why he's not perfect.
