Imagine being the gays at a pride event in 2004 living their lives when someone grabs the microphone and announces to the room that Ronald Reagan was pronounced dead. Can you even imagine the hype, the celebration, the pure elation
This is the Pride Month that It will happen. I feel it in my gay bones

what’s gets me about the mercy killing Jeyne theory is that people who believe in it always try to act like they like Jeyne. It’s performative pity at best. I don’t understand Arya fans that believe it. Like why would you want Arya to do something horrible that doesn’t even make sense with her character or arc. It’s genuinely disgusting. It’s up there with how they wrote show Dany needing to be put down by Jon for misogyny imo.
i think its ppl ignoring that a) jeyne isnt suicidal and a rape victim can have a life beyond there trauma one of jeyne's primary character expression is that she wants to survive b) dont understand the chaos of northern politics thats about to happen. c) jeyne probably going to be trapped in the middle of that chaos and d) Arya would most likely tell jeyne that she needs to survive the horrors despite their beef i think its depressing for her to mercy kill another person linked to her childhood when catelyn has a much bigger impact and link to her than jeyne does.
it was spread wildly in the 2010s and originating from a tumblr/westeros.org user i think but i forgot where, i think its just one of those theories thats like "how can i get a character to a destination the fastest way possible without actually looking at whats going on in other stories" which isnt how grrm writes at least post acok/asos , i think Arya is going to sail back to westeros in twow but it wont be t'ill like half or 3/4 of the book due to george confirming he has an insane amount of plans for arya's braavos training arc with clear allusions that she'll meet dany/tyrion or edric storm and by then i think so MUCH stuff is going to happen up north, like i truly don't think he'd miss an opportunity for jon to meet both theon and jeyne despite the resistance to this, i think 3/4 major plots have to happen with jeyne which is :
Jon knowing that the prophecy by mel was again false by meeting at the wall and that he did die for the wrong girl and a person he considers a traitor is with her.
She gets used as a pawn briefly to take back winterfell by jon #Boltonmassacre lavinia actaeon references happen
The plan goes bust for jeyne's security if the manderlys get involved with rickon,Stannis might accuse Jeyne of impersonation of a high noble which was an actual crime in medieval times , if she escapes and more bs happens with stannis camp then this could trigger events for an order for shireen to get burned out of desperation because he doesnt have the sacrifice he wants.
Jeyne's testimony about littlefinger has to eventually happen as she is crucial to exposing how deep LF's crimes run
this is kinda my go to thoughts for jeyne and ik this is like half coping into not thinking that grrm just wants to write more tragedy porn for her that he cant write for the stark girls but i do think a lot of fandom's perception of her is that like..they don't really want to think about her that deeply which is why i think her being written off to be a bit lazy.
Scam artists on tumblr
Art thieves and AI users pretending to be real artists and using stolen art to advertise their commissions.
Thankfuly, they seem to be a semi-organized scam circle. Meaning, if you see one, there's probably more in their comments and reblogs, sometimes even defending each other if they happen to be exposed.
I'm tagging @kyra45 and @ai-art-thieves but if you know any other active blogs warning about art thieves, feel free to tag them in replies or comments.
Long post with evidence under the cut
Also when you call them out they’ll get their friends after you and claim your mean to all artists! And they’ll say their not scamming anyone lol

I have been shitting a lot on liberal yanks that I totally forgot about the economic illiteracy of the average centrist/right-wing yank
another asoiaf detail that i am obsessed with is how married women aren't always referred to with their husbands' surnames. sometimes people will still use a woman's maiden surname for her, or use both surnames, and it can reflect what people think about the status of the woman's marriage. like cat is sometimes referred to as catelyn tully or catelyn tully stark instead of just catelyn stark by people who associate her with riverrun, or in her own internal monologue. sansa is never once referred to as sansa lannister because everyone knows it's a morally deplorable sham child marriage situation that's basically already annulled. and the most funny one of all: cersei is never, not once in all 5 books, referred to as cersei baratheon. everyone, literally everyone, knows that is NOT her name lmao
the thing about the fandom experience is that it becomes p clear that the art itself is very secondary to the experience of a community or in-group to a lot of ppl
what i mean with this ig is that there r ppl that seem to be way bigger fans of fandom than the thing itself
ntm this particular manifestation of this 💀
i wanna add, i dont think there is anything particularly wrong with this per say. ofc ppl r desperate to be a part of a community and use their hobbies as a vehicle to find similar likeminded individuals that share their interests. it can even be a necessary social space for many. it just really does shape the reality of it and how it all operates, and i just especially dislike when it turns these spaces meant for discussing a piece of art into high school parodies lol. and ofc, if ur main desire is to actually prioritize analysis of a text for what it is… well…
this came up now as a result of the “can you be a fan of a game that you’ve never played” discourse, and i do wonder how much different it is now, say, post covid for example, if it is meaningfully that
are bots making communities now??? some of the ones i get recommended feel like it
like the admin of this one is deactivated and at least 95% of the members are bots
can you imagine you wake up one day in a dark room chained to a radiator with your phone at 1% and you unlock it and find that you've been added to this community
The first thing you do in that situation is open Tumblr?
Where the hell else would I post about being chained to a radiator, fucking Bluesky?
This is leaving out the most crucial piece of why that was a normal reality: UNIONS. Union participation percentage is a measly 10% across all industries for the latest statistics in 2025. Unions are the ones who could fight against the requirement for everyone and their mother to need a minimum of a bachelor's degree. they could fight for working hours to be properly compensated so that the work week was actually 40 hours or less and everything over was actually paid for. The reality of the work place and why we work so much more for so much less is because we are not unionized. the reason europeans seem to have it so much better is because of their strong union culture. there are solutions to these problems and we need to stop obscuring the why.
correct.
terrifying when you watch a movie or a show or whatever & youre like that was fun but it felt a little redundant they didnt need to hammer the point home that much & then you go online & theres thousands of people going that was so weird i did not get it what did that mean google.com ending explained please?
Now I need your thoughts about the leaks. How to do you feel about Ormund and Criston being r*pe apologists? I thought op was exaggerating but with the interviews and reviews of the season this seems to be confirmed.
I have no thoughts, just rage. They are taking characters whose traits were lightly defined by George in the accounts of 3 people, then making up new traits, throwing in several original characters and creating undocumented crimes out of thin air to seemingly 'even the field' with crimes that Daemon and his men will be committing in Tumbleton, no doubt.
It's disgusting and petty, adding to that, Alicent's non canon sexual assault by Ironrod/Jasper Wilde (yes, that will happen as confirmed by screeners).
I'm trying to ignore these obvious provocations, like the destruction of Criston Cole's character, and just push forward and scoop the few delights I can get from this shit show. And boy are they few!
This truly is no longer George's story.

not enough talking of jaime being vocal and ok with killing cersei if not for the kids who would hate him for it
i think that you have to read between the lines with jaime more. he undeniably has reached a point with this relationship where the facade of it has entirely collapsed, he is convinced of his position in it as a mere tool rather than a lover. he concludes that he is no different from lancel or kettleblack, cersei’s love for him and the foundation of this relationship has been completely upended in his eyes. he is no longer in a position where he would die for it, “we will leave this world together, as we once came into it” is concomitantly rejected by him, something that he used to uphold himself. he broke away from the identity and purpose that defined him for much of his life: cersei’s knight, her other half, her sword. despite that, i do not think he is in a position emotionally where he is ready to kill her himself. he justifies this feeling to himself with what he says to ilyn, but there is a reason that exchange is followed up with what it is followed up with. in dance, when he thinks about going back, it is with a kind of dread when it comes to cersei. while his actions speak of what they do, to me, even that utter indifference in his narration comes off like a bit of an overcompensation. nonetheless, it is clear that he is not really experiencing a lot of schadenfreude from her fate despite his bitterness. i’ve personally always read that snowflake line in feast as a tear.
not to be a dirty commie or anything but i don't think any one person should have enough money to solve world hunger and then get to decide not to
