You attract what you are and you create what you think about. Act like the person you want to become. Think like the person you want to become. Nothing changes in your life unless you make the decision and commitment to change it. Hold an image in your mind of how you wish to see yourself living. Visualize it everyday and you will unconsciously start to do things that will move you towards that goal.

Inner Healing Prompts; Reflecting on dependency on someone other than yourself
āWhat is the unmet need I want this person to meetā? (Validation, comfort, love, etc.)
āIf I were to look at this person as a solution to my problem, what solution would they be offeringā. (Soothing anxiety, making me feel safe, providing comfort, love, approval that I am worthy, etc.)
āWho from my past, does this person remind me of?ā (caregiver, sibling, past partner.)
āIf Iām being radically honest with myself, what fears or insecurities are coming up in meā? (too much, not enough, etc.)
āHow can I begin to meet this internal need in another way, without relying on this personā.
The next time Iām feeling triggered or anxious, who can I call instead of my x?
The next time Iām feeling triggered or anxious and no one is around, how can I self-soothe?

Elegance is about simplicity and timelessness. It is about being unapologetically authentic, with no concern to following any trends or social conventions of beauty. It is about carrying yourself with confidence regardless of what you are wearing or how you look; itās not about possessions or material wealth. Itās the grace of oneās heart, a lovely poise, and integrity. It does not seek to boast or demand attention to itself, because it knows its own high value.
Setting the Tone for my Day
Iāve been transitioning away from a full-out āmorning routineā to simply incorporating a couple of habits that I like to do every day, as I can get easily overwhelmed and discouraged when I miss a couple of steps in my planned routine. I get so inspired seeing morning routines from people I admire, but itās not always realistic for my current lifestyle. These are the things that turn me from Hot Mess Central ⢠after I wake up, into my cute self ready for the day:
Wash my face and brush my teeth: Sometimes low moods can make this seem impossible, but I always feel better about the day when I take time to look after myself- whether I do the full 8-step routine or simply cleanse and splash some cold water on my face- and itās a simple but important way to flex my discipline muscles
Check my bank accounts: I love the Mint app from Intuit that keeps all my accounts in one place, and I can quickly see how much I have left in my monthly budget (plus itās so motivating whenever I make a car payment or get some extra income!) I used to have terrible anxiety around looking at my bank account (broke college student days, anyone?) but having a concrete plan and seeing the decisions Iām making pay off helps rewrite that story in my head.
Get some fresh air: Either by opening my windows or heading outside, I make sure to air out the house (as myself) as early as I can- feeling that breeze wakes me up better than any cup of coffee, and in the evenings I come home to a room that smells like sunshine and fresh plants
Pick a daily journal prompt: Even if I donāt write anything right then, having an intention for my day always makes me more aware of my thoughts and habits. Plus, I can organize my thoughts during slow points at work- lately Iāve been letting my mind wander into more interesting and dreamy placesā¦
Taking moments for myself: My friend said to me recently, āIf you feel guilty while resting, then youāre not resting at allā- exactly what I needed to hear. I either use a self-care card deck to select an activity, or Iāll read one of my current books (phone free!) Either way, I make sure to take some quiet time for myself in the morning doing something I enjoyā¦guilt-free. (This has also been the best incentive for waking up early)

Effortless & Elegant
youāre going to get yourself where you want to be.
Day 1 of my April Journal Challenge: Goal Setting and Morning Routines
Throughout March, Iāve been feeling a bit like Iām living the same day over and over- exhausted, procrastinating, inconsistent about health and self-care, needy, etcā¦all things that leave me feeling drained and gloomy.
So for the next month (and hopefully longer) Iām setting myself a challenge to engage more deeply with the abundance and opulence thatās available all around me, if I only have the confidence and discipline to grab it!
For me, the easiest way to tune into my higher self is through physical connection and self-reflection. That means spoiling myself with experiences (not material goods!), taking time to tend to my body and home, and thinking through a clear vision of my future.
By the end of April, I will:
- Write 30 journal entries: This will give me a chance to incorporate more of my shadow work practice, get a better idea of my style, and enhance my written communication skills
- Workout at least 20 times: Iāve been majorly slacking on hitting the gym, but with warmer weather and my friend doing a workout challenge with me, Iām excited to get back to my active self
- Practice a consistent morning routine: Most importantly, waking up at the same time every day and getting mentally ready for the day (and physically cute!) which includes: full skincare routine, being hydrated ASAP, and staying phone-free before work.
š When I take care of myself, I attract everyone and everything I want- time to shift back into princess modeš
