the soft day leans into its own undoing and what was held now loosens without grief no hand can gather what the light has given no breath can keep the drifting from its course

Sunkissed memories

I love darkness showing me, all the things I can not see.

How do I know I'm living in a safe country?
This is what one police department posted on their official Facebook account, asking people to come pick up a lose screw and a jingle bell from an elf hat (or maybe a cat collar, we don't know) from their lost and found.
I'm in a mood today. I just got incredible melancholy because my coffee was so tasty and it's sunny outside. And it just hit me that I get to enjoy this out of the comfort of my home, while in my fridge there's a chocolate bar for when I'm ready for a snack. Some people don't have homes, let alone coffee or snacks. Some of them are sick and they still find the will to smile, be kind and help out other people. And then I felt guilty for enjoying my coffee and now my day is ruined.
Fuck homelessness, we gotta fix that shit somehow. I need my happy coffee.

Weekends
Saturdays are a chore. I feel oppressed by the time, that could be spent doing all the things I was too busy for before. Stressed over the looming of Sunday, the deadline for feeling rested. At least my laundry will feel refreshed.
You think I might be going insane or getting sick? I wrote before getting out of bed and before getting caffeinated. I feel like I did something illegal.
