Iceland has thousands of waterfalls but Aldeyjarfoss is easily my favorite. It doesn't have the scale or grandeur of Dettifoss or Godafoss but it has some of the most spectacular columnar basalt anywhere. (at Aldeyjarfoss)

Iceland has this particular kind of moss that I've never seen anywhere else. The effect is dramatic, more so for the fact that it's often the only life visible in the moonscape that is Iceland's interior. @sirdanford and I refer to it as radioactive moss. (at Western Region (Iceland))

In addition to being geologically fascinating, Iceland's hot springs are great for some moody, aesthetic shots. This one put me in mind of Blade Runner for some reason. (at Kerlingarfjöll)
