“It was too hazy that i never noticed you. But the Askrians may be lucky about this. After all, the ‘Breidablik’ can do what the Summoner wants to call forth a hero or heroine.” Not only Laegjarn experiences this but also Helbindi, he could be in another alternative Askrian world and not here hence it was like worlds divided. Her cause in this world was unknown as well on how she got here.
She can’t read Loki’s mind and intentions as what would the mischievous cleric do here.
“Were you plotting on something sinister here? Hope you weren’t.”
“Well, luckily, I’ve only just recently got here.”. Truly she did sometimes manage to worm her ways into areas before anyone else, but this wasn’t one of those times. (Sadly). “Worry not of the state of your mind, your head is clearer than you think.”
Loki chuckled, tilting her head to the side. “You put too much faith in me to assume I’m not up to something, dear. What I told you before was the truth however, I know as little of this world as you do.” If Laegjarn was still willing to accept her as an ally, she may be one of the few people here she’d even met here from the realm she knew best....and that was invaluable when everything else was a variable. And even then, there was no reason to lie--or so she hoped.

at first he had thought it to be a damning upon himself. another plan forged by fools to keep his interests at bay, to cause him to writhe and suffer without the easy usage of his entire range of skills. but whilst it was inconvenient, he had not fallen upon his knees in desperation or loss. no no, when the mind is as sharp as that and the resolve burning oh so bright as this, one does not whimper at the loss of steel. “ opportunity, perhaps. “ he turned in such a way that only half of his visage captured the light; silver and black accented along his left side, the side which revealed the true majesty of his blade.
“ they arrive at their most vulnerable; weak, afraid, powerless. “ but he had not been quite so easy to deter. his mind was made and his purpose was solidified. in fact, the mere concept that such a thing could even occur, that somehow a mass theft was entirely possible, was what interested him further. “ i’m not so interested in why. not when the ‘how’ seems much more… curious. “ facing such a way, he could eye her with an interested glance; sea green gaze seeking to penetrate any secret he could discern. but she was an amused spectre, really, night doing little to conceal the unusual beauty that she was. but he cared not for aesthetics, nor even beauty he supposed. but it was power, and it seeped between her teeth as her words sung with entertainment.
“ and i wonder, is there a limit to their own ability to take. “
Relieved as she was to not be attacked while in this state, she was equally excited in how equally curious his gaze seemed. This man understood what she was getting at; he may prove useful to keep around. Of course, those that understood the seeking of power, they too often wanted it for themselves, and even if they didn’t...well, they’d try to keep it from her.
It was a dangerous line to tread.
“how? that is a curious thought indeed.” yes, if they did know of the how they could intercept weapons, possibly, steal them for their own....he wasn’t thinking quite on her page, however. And what need did he have to? a man who could wield a weapon that, as terribly lovely as it was, was simply so large to scale....he struck her as the type that would simply barrel through if necessary. While they were thinking as similarly as they were, maybe this man would be easy to keep under her thumb after all.
“would they leave us with nothing if they wanted to? or is this simply the meaning of a faulty system that cannot bring those that come in fully manifested? Truthfully, you know more of these mysterious powers that be than i do, here. A shame."

random starter - @calamitess
“Loki…” Father’s tactician and a mischievous cleric. Of all people from their world, it had to be Loki. Of course she was there when Laegjarn offered her flesh and soul that time and it was painful as it gets. All for Laevatein.
Now that she’s here in Spirale, what was her motives here this time? Is she going to invade things up like in the Tempest where ‘Marth’ trying to stop her? This bothers her.
“What brings you here in this place?” She only asked with no aggression intended.
Ah, the king’s eldest daughter, Laegjarn.
So she’d been summoned here too? The fact she was alive didn’t exactly catch her off guard. After all she’d been summoned here from such a different world as this one, and she’d seen heroes she’d never imagine seeing after death or even living alongside the Askrians, peculiar phantoms.
“I found myself adrift, is all; I’m unsure how I ended up here myself,” the truth; but she didn’t want to glean more of her motives further, offering only a simple shrug. “What brought you here, though? Did I accidentally pass into the afterlife when I wasn’t looking? That’s lucky for our friends in Askr, then, I presume.”

@calamitess–
Now if this wasn’t a sight for sore eyes.
Ikol didn’t need to ask to know–call it intuition, an educated guess, or simply pattern recognition by now–and he assumed she wouldn’t, either. She’d her look and he his. (Although, those horns of his might’ve been the more obvious giveaway between the two.)
“Welcome to Golden Ward,” Ikol greeted her, flashing his teeth beside an immortal cavalier grin. “Judging by the imminent eclipse leading up to your appearance, this is your first time fielding the view, as it were.”
Not that he’d chastise his ilk for being new to the storied city and its marvel mile-wide hole in the ground, of course. Ikol talked as though it might be a pleasant observation.
“I’m Loki. Suppose you could say I’m something of a veteran around the block.”
His eyes shined with everything mercurial as he winked. “Anything in particular you’re searching for?”
Her eyes widened ever so slightly; hoping dearly that it came off as surprise of finding herself immediately with a welcoming committee.
In reality that was the least of the surprises dealt unto her; she was well familiar of the numbers of summoned warriors, the same warrior, being oft expanded. It was not uncommon to field troops that were nothing but variations on a theme of the same warrior. But this person wasn’t...quite her, though he bore the name. Coincidence, perhaps? But where Loki was concerned there were few coincidences, and many more machinations of her own providence. This could be dangerous if she wasn’t careful. Excellent.
“Is it that easy to tell?” She pouted, faux-coy as she inspected her robes, tassels and ponytail moving with her head for a moment. “I do have a question; is...Loki a common name in this land? This is going to sound absurd, but, we bear the same name."
i’d like to apologize in advance if im slow getting replies out, im excited that you all are excited for loki!! her voice is tricky to peg down and im still getting the hang of it

the gape of a wound within the world at hand, why it was a feat he supposed was far beyond him in this state. this fractured, broken piece of him without the means for such a right. but his mind was ever sharp, as was the blade she noted. it was hard to miss. such a story woven within its steel, such power captured in the sheer shimmer of its curve. he did not glance her way, nor did he offer her much besides an icy-toned reply, sephiroth flicking the blade towards the earth thus sending freckles of blood against the pavement. in the darkness, it looked more like ink splattered across a canvas. “ are you offering yourself for a demonstration? “
though his back was turned, the smirk which came after it could almost be heard within his voice. cold as it was, it was always with an eerie poetry that his words did come. like a broken prayer, spoken by a cynic.
“ it has served me well. the supposed rulers of this realm had tried to keep it from me. hm. they underestimated my destiny. “
Hm, she should’ve expected the man to go for threats, with his blade so bloodied. Truth be told, though, she had no idea if this world really was anything like her own--for all she knew there was some conflict going on here she wasn’t remotely sure of. She chuckled into her hand, her eyes narrowing.
“Now now, it wouldn’t do you any good to fell a stranger here, would it?” Threats meant little to her, anyway; not when there was this delectable bit of information to make note of. She knew little of this destiny he spoke of; the prophecies and legends she was familiar with never really mentioned leather-clad men with the swords of giants. “they seemed to have done that to me as well--no matter, they can’t stop people if they’re creative enough. But...Now I wonder....,” fingers went back to fussing her lips, looking him over. “What are they doing with all our weapons? Especially if you’re as destined as you say...”
Oh, how curious already--!
Loki had been on her way to actually get into her apartment; her attention nigh immediately piqued by the tall figure in jet-black leather and a rather sizable blade. Could always make her way to get stuff situated properly later, surely...this was a much more pressing matter.
“And just what are you doing with such a blade here? It seems like such a feat to carry...” A hand came to her mouth, supported by the other arm, hands fussing her lips pensively. “it isn’t just for show, is it?” Was it compensation? Was that the sword of a giant slain and his sword taken as the trophy? Oh, now she had to know; what legends awaited here in this outrealm? It didn’t matter in the slightest that he seemed particularly icy, she dealt with plenty of gruff figures before...anyone could loosen up with the appropriate nudging.
@invitedeath
also i just want to make note of this before i do plotter calls but shapeshifting shenanigans with loki won’t happen outright into anyone notable for Maximum Chaos (tm) unless you’re a fire emblem castmate bc being in the Heroes base lore she has a pretty vast knowledge of lands they can summon from, but not much else, and i figure she needs to see faces and otherwise Know People in order to do that!!
this will change as time goes on and she gets more acquainted w people
This wasn’t an outrealm she was familiar with...this world; how different it looked from Múspell, Askr, all the nations she’d know intimately as a tactician.
No matter. happily she took the escort’s offer of transit deeper into the city; how comfortable they were with it all! A wonderful chance to rest and take in the city around her. Such towering buildings, such large spanning paths within it...
Whatever it was, within this city there was certainly a summoning power that was perhaps even more potent than Breidablik. Yes, Loki could work with this. Because if she got here from such a world as her own; she could certainly get back; and she could use whatever was here to her advantage, she was certain.
Let Askr sit pretty for a bit; let them feel as though the had nothing to fear. It’d make her return all the more delicious.
there’s a proper rules page now please look at it
sup its gigi; disregard the prior reserve, here's loki from fire emblem heroes ready to shake things up! app can be found /app, stats at /stats!
