Reasons you should be watching The Fosters on ABC Family

-Adorable family with two moms -Parents are a female cop and a female African American high school principal. -There is one biological son from a previous marriage, and adopted twins, one male one female, who are Latino. -One of the foster kids is a little boy who likes to wear dresses and paint his nails. -Show is very sex positive, not graphic but the parents talk to the kids openly and offer them protection. -Homophobic grandfather gets told off by a strict catholic couple who say that it’s “unchristian" to not support all kinds of families. -The moms hug/kiss/touch/hold hands/talk about their sex life but they aren’t overly sexualized for being lesbians. -They are written just like the straight parents on any other ABC Fam show and they have a good balance of arguments and cute moments.

Because its an ABC Family show it is super dramatic and the acting isn’t flawless, lol, but so far I’m really enjoying it and I love the dynamic they’ve created. It’s really refreshing and different to watch. :)

I used to be in the atheists/skeptics club at UTD, and when we put up our booth in the Student Union, the Muslim guys who stopped by to chat and ask honest questions were some of the friendliest people we met all day. All the media blather about how Islam is inherently more violent and misogynistic than Christianity is xenophobic nonsense.
