Wandersong post-game idea where one day Eyala pops up and goes “Hey, so you did such a good job with saving the planet Eya is going to make you one of her angels.” and poofs Kiwi away before anyone can say anything.
Miriam and Audrey (who is there and has worked through her issues) are like “Uuuhhh, what?” And the main game is them trying to get Kiwi back, while Kiwi and Eyala try to stall the process however they can.
A real kicker I thought might be good is that there’s actual combat in this one. Miriam is down of course, but after hanging up the hero’s sword Audrey is hesitant to pick it back up again. The emotional core comes from Miriam, using the compassion she learned from Kiwi, helps Audrey through the process of realizing that the sword is just an object. It was her using it, but she’s different now and she doesn’t have to be afraid of it anymore.
The big final moment is Audrey, sword in hand and Miriam, spells at the ready standing between Kiwi and Eya. Eya regards them for a moment before smiling approvingly. “Well done.” She was never going to angelify Kiwi. It was all a test of their friendship.
