“Fuck my life. Hey–yeah, you, do you have a lighter? Mine decided to fail me at this very moment when I need it the most. There must be a metaphor in that or something.”
“Yeah, I got you buddy.”
“I think there is. But who gives a shit, am I right?”
“Well seeing as how it’s part of who I am, yes. It means quite a lot to me, thank you very much.” Taking a sip of her own beer, she glowered for a moment before reaching for the remote to turn on the television as a change of subject. “You may have won the battle, but you have not yet won the war.”
“Change your name. To Other Sloan. Then I’ll never be wrong.” Cameron smiled before drinking his stolen beverage. “We are warring over your name? Come on, Other Sloan. You can make this happen.”
Phone Call ☏ Cameron
Erin: Thank you, Cam. Really. I know I'm small, but I promise I won't let you down. Name the time and place.
Cameron: Pirates found a use for everyone. I'm sure we can find somewhere to put you. Monday morning. 6 a.m.
Phone Call ☏ Cameron
Erin: I know I fucked up by being with him, but just know I never told him anything. I never sold the family out. I've come to realize that no matter how hard I try to stay away from everything, it'll always be there. But I don't know the first step I should take.
Cameron: Well, that's a good first step. Realizing you're stuck in the same shit boat as the rest of us. [Pause]. Tell you what, I'll let you come hang around with me for a little bit. See if you can figure out something you'd want to explore.
Saige stretched her arm up to try and reach for the beer, failing as she did. “First off, I’m still not other Sloan. One of these days you will say Saige and it will be the biggest victory of man kind.” Attempting to reach for the beer again and groaned as he managed to keep it out of reach. “And second off, you most definitely will not be having the whole six pack because that is rude hosting and I am one of your most prized visitors.” Finally giving up, she huffed in defeat and sat back, picking up a new beer and popping the cap off of it again. “Third off, you suck.”
“What a small victory it would be, Other Sloan. I mean, does a name mean all that much to you? Enjoy to let me pour this beer on your head?” He laughed as she opened up another one. “Victory is mine.”
Phone Call ☏ Cameron
Erin: That's the thing. I'm not sure exactly what. All I know is that after all of the shit with Isaac...I can't be blind anymore. And I want to be able to defend myself. Hopefully I'll never have to, but... you get what I mean.
Cameron: This would be the inopportune time to say 'I told you so' but the point still stands. You always have to defend yourself, Erin. The fact that you are incapable of doing so frightens me. Though it isn't your fault, it's just careless. You should have been taught long ago.
Alright. Well, just focus on getting rested. We’ll figure this thing out, alright?
Phone Call ☏ Cameron
Erin: I apologize for Jeremy. What did he do this time? You know I won't act like that. As for the why...I want to help. I don't wanna sit on my hands doing nothing. Does that make sense?
Cameron: No need to apologize for anyone else. It's been taken care of. And it does. What did you have in mind?
“Oh really?” Saige questioned him, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked down. “Well then how’s this for foul play.” She cackled lunging towards him in a way that she hoped would spill the beer, hoping to pin him to the couch so that she could win it back from him.
“Other Sloan! What the shit are you doing?” Cameron fell back and kept the drink from spilling, but he had to hold tight to make sure she couldn’t reach it. “Keep this shit up and I’m chugging the whole six pack.”
I was meeting Rafi-Rafael for coffee at this place that was going out of business. Almost got there but someone grabbed me from behind. One minute I was trying to get them off of me and the next a cloth was over my face and I woke up with no feeling in my legs, my arms tied behind my back, and my legs bound together.
Distinct smells? Sounds? Anything like that?
Phone Call ☏ Cameron
Erin: Hey, I know this is completely out of the blue, but I've been thinking about this for a while and now I know this is what I want. What would it take...for me to get more involved with the business?
Cameron: Well... First question would be whether or not you are going to act like an ass like a certain brother of yours. Second question would probably be why.
“Fine. You win. I’ll keep my ears open.”
“Thanks baby. You’re the best.” Cameron kissed his cheek gently and quickly, almost as if it never happened at all. “I’ll see you around.”
“Oh, clearly. Just see to it that everything is done well, Cam. I had loose ends. Especially when they have to be cut.”
I’m a huge fan of cutting. So I’ll be taking care of that.
Saige looked at him in amusement as he spoke, shaking her head and attempting her best to hold back the laughter. Once the bottle left her hands though she looked at him incredulously as if he had just done her a great offense. “Oh no you did not just steal my beer, mister.” She stood up on the couch and stared at him as if challenging him for what he’d done. “It’s too early for foul play in the morning.”
“It’s never too early for foul play.” He looked at up on the couch and raised his brow. Slowly, he took a drink from the bottle. “Ah, refreshing.”
Text: Audrey & Cameron
Audrey: Okay then, Mr. Montgomery, do you have any leads yourself, then?
Audrey: He didn't say I owe him anything. I mean, he gets to prove that the Castles are innocent since everyone's been pointing fingers at them, I assume that's enough of a reason for him to help me.
Audrey: And, you know, I'm friends with the mother of his child, so.
Cameron: A few. I don't feel quiet comfortable texting them to you. But I do believe your assumption here. I do want to know why.
Cameron: Proof of their innocence would be the most helpful thing you could get for me.
“Only the ones I like.”
“I’d apologize, but I’m not really sorry. Are we still friends?”
“We can still be friends. As long as you’re happy and give me info.”
